Welcome to your ultimate vacation destination on the Myrtle Beach Grand Strand! We grew up vacationing all along the Strand for years before finding this oceanfront condo unparalleled for relaxation and excitement. Located on secluded Shore Drive, 'A Place at the Beach IV' is located directly on the beach. It is a quiet 3 story building with a cozy village-like atmosphere featuring well manicured grounds and a fabulous pool area. As the reviews will tell you, this is one of the nicest units in the building!

Perched on the top floor, our updated condo provides enhanced privacy and a wonderful view of the ocean and the Apache Pier. Whether you're a culinary enthusiast or a grill master, there is a well equipped kitchen and a poolside cookout area to enjoy. This condo is well maintained and appointed with amenities to delight both adults and children alike. After all, we cherish our family vacations here too!

Kathi was very helpful and easy to communicate with. The property is in a great location and was very clean upon arrival. It had a fully stocked kitchen and she even provided beach chairs! It is on the third level so keep in mind you have to climb the stairs.

Love the location. Shore Drive area has so much to offer and the beaches our front of the unit are among the widest, flattest on the strand. Easy access via US 22 (Conway Bypass) and never have to get out on business 17. Many walkable restaurants.

Great time, great location

We had a wonderful week long stay at the Black Pearl. So close to the water and the rooms had everything we needed. The AC works beautifully which was a godsend in this weather. Big shout out to Kathi McKnight for being so helpful. We will definitely be back.

This property was extremely clean. Everything that was pictured on VRBO was accurate. It’s a great location right on the beach and there were several stores close. I would recommend this property to anyone. Kathi was great to work with!

Rainy Getaway

We unfortunately visited during Debby so it rained every day. The location and residence were both accommodating to deal with all the rain. There were a lot of indoor activities to do within a short drive or even a short walk. We would definitely choose this location again. Kathi even called to check on us during the storms and to give us ideas on what we could do to pass time.

Great Location

Great condo in an excellent location. Owner is very responsive to issues. We really enjoyed our stay. If I had to find something negative to say, it would be that the master bedroom could use a new mattress. Other than that, this is a wonderful place to spend a vacation. Would definitely come back.

Although a bit on the small side, this condo suited all or our needs (4 adults and 1 child). The location is great and the kitchen is well furnished. Quietest dishwasher I never heard!!! Advice for the owner, please get a new mattress for the master bedroom!

The 'Black Pearl' vacation condo is owned by the Auble and McKnight families. We grew up in South Carolina and Ohio and always summered on the Grand Strand. Our parents originally discovered that 'A Place at the Beach IV' is the best vacation spot on the Strand and bought this condo for use by family and guests.

Why they chose this property

A Place at the Beach IV is ideally situated on a secluded dead end street yet provides easy access to all the best the Myrtle Beach area has to offer. This condo faces the morning sun on the more quiet and relaxing side of the resort. The beach here is beautiful and it has Life Guards for safety during the summer season. There are lots of fun areas to discover nearby. A couple favorites are the quaint fresh shrimp and fruit stand a couple blocks away and a waterway inlet up the beach where kids catch crabs and other sea creatures.
