4th return visit to a beautiful place
Pros: The most beautiful view was available to us from the balcony. We love spending time just looking at the mountains it's an uninterrupted view from the Hochfelln Appartment which is one of our most favourite things about the location. Parking outside is easy in dedicated parking spaces by the house. Frau Schweiger is a lovely host and ensured that we could pick up our key easily on arrival. Apartment is spotlessly clean. Beds are comfortable, 2 bathrooms makes it very easy for 4 guest to stay. Tourist tax pays for the Chiemgau Karte which gives you access to the rail network, the bus network, and some of the local mountain lifts for free. The offering this year in 2025 is really good and we enjoyed climbing high ropes, the fly line at Unternberg, the indoor pool all day and outdoor pools for 3 hours at Vita Alpina, and entry to the Holzknecht museum all for no extra cost. The tax paid for the card more than paid back for itself.
We will very likely be coming back for our fifth visit!
Cons: Nothing! Even in wet weather we were able to enjoy sitting on the balcony and enjoying the view!
