In this gorgeous, approximately 135 m² Romantic-style cabin—which, from the outside, is a blend of old half-timbered architecture and modern design—the interior has also been skilfully reimagined, blending the old with the new. The cabin captivates with its abundance of wood, modern technology, and special luxury amenities.

The cosy and homely decor is characterised by rustic old wooden furniture, warm oak floorboards, a romantic wood-burning fireplace, and plenty of beautiful pillows, blankets, fur throws, and lamps. Here, you immediately feel at home and at one with nature.

The social hub is the minimalist, modern kitchen with a cooking island and the spacious living-dining area featuring a gnarled old oak table and a wood-burning fireplace. This is where everyone gathers to cook together, enjoy a meal, or share conversations and moments of leisure by the flickering fire in the fireplace.

A highlight for wellness enthusiasts is the large, luxurious bathroom with a spa area. After a relaxing sauna session, you can wind down the day on the large terrace or in front of the fireplace.

The Romantikhütte Winterberg-Willingen consists of 2 units.
In addition to the kitchen, the living-dining room, and the wellness bathroom, the main unit features two very beautiful bedrooms for our guests and can accommodate up to 5 adults. The large master bedroom is equipped with a high-quality box-spring bed as well as down comforters and pillows. If needed, an additional person can also sleep here on a comfortable sofa. The second bedroom also features box-spring beds for 2 additional guests.

For bookings of more than 4 guests, an additional small unit is provided. This unit is located on the ground floor with its own entrance and includes two very nice rooms that can accommodate a total of 4 people, along with a kitchenette, sitting area, shower, and guest bathroom.

The garden also has everything you could want. Here, our guests will find a large terrace right next to the house with a table and benches, as well as a lounge sofa area with a parasol and a large electric grill. Across from the Romantikhütte, on the wooded and meadowed property, your own picnic area awaits—an oasis of tranquility among the fir trees, right by the stream.

The Romantikhütte Willingen-Winterberg is idyllically located on the outskirts of the small village of Referinghausen. It’s the ideal starting point for excursions to Willingen and Usseln, as well as Medebach, Winterberg, and Schmallenberg. You’re just a few minutes away from the tourist hotspots, where you can enjoy all the amenities these towns have to offer. The most beautiful hiking trails start right outside the cabin.
In winter, you’ll find many ski and toboggan runs nearby. Winter hikes to one of the surrounding cabins, where you can stop for a break, eat, and drink, are also highly recommended. During the warmer months, we recommend a trip to Lake Diemel. And, of course, you can explore the surrounding area on foot, by bicycle, or on a mountain bike.
