The Gästehaus am Schlossberg is located in the centre of the Friedenfels Nature Experience Village and in the heart of the Steinwald in the northern Upper Palatinate—the ideal starting point for hikes and a retreat for relaxation. The nearby Steinwald invites you to hike, bike, and climb. The surrounding area is home to many hidden gems waiting to be discovered, such as castle ruins, a “stairway to heaven,” and the ponds of the local fish farm. The village store, a butcher shop, the large playground, and several restaurants are all within walking distance. Enjoy a relaxing holiday in a peaceful setting. Our cosy, fully furnished holiday apartment, with 63 m² of living space, is located on the ground floor and accommodates 2–4 people. The fully equipped kitchen, featuring a dining area, dishwasher, refrigerator, stove, oven, kettle, toaster, coffee maker, and a basic set of dishes, glasses, and silverware, leaves nothing to be desired. The living area features a sleeper sofa, a TV with satellite reception, and access to the balcony, which offers a magnificent view of the surrounding greenery. The holiday rental has a bedroom with a double bed and two single beds. The bathroom includes a shower and a toilet. Check-in is available from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Check-out is between 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM. Other check-in and check-out times are possible upon request. Please contact us in advance to arrange this if necessary. Keys will be handed over in person on-site or via a key box. You will receive the code for the key box well in advance of your arrival. A cot or rollaway bed can be provided upon request for 10 EUR per night. Pets are allowed by arrangement, for a fee of 20 EUR per day. The visitor’s tax of 0.75 EUR per person per night (for guests 16 years of age and older) will be charged on-site. Bed linens, towels, free Wi-Fi, parking, and final cleaning are included in the price. Payment is due on-site in cash.
