A historic three-sided farmhouse, a listed building, gutted and completely renovated by 2020. We have been welcoming guests to our holiday rental since 2021.
With 100 m², the apartment offers plenty of space for several people: A bathroom, two bedrooms—each with a double bed and a cot—and a sleeper sofa in the living room allow up to 6 people and a toddler to enjoy a holiday surrounded by nature.
You’ll also find a fully equipped kitchen and a living room with a TV, books, and board games.
Parking and Wi-Fi are available
Charging an electric car is possible by arrangement. Both a high-voltage connection and a 220 V outlet are available. Please bring your own charger; usage fees apply for electricity.
Information about the village:
Our little village has fewer than 500 residents. But we take every opportunity to celebrate in style: Pentecost, Easter, the Wine Blossom Festival, the May Bonfire, the Rose Blossom Festival, the Local Festival—and let’s not forget the festivals in our neighbouring towns: Wine Trail, Wine Spring, Cherry Festival, Winemakers’ Festival, and the individual winemakers’ farm festivals.
Otherwise, life here is rather quiet: The cockerel crows, a horse neighs now and then, and other than that, the rubbish lorry comes every Thursday and beeps as it backs up for a minute, and the fire brigade checks every Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. to see if their siren still works... and that’s about it.
In the village itself, there’s a historic manor house, a playground, a butcher, and a farm stand selling vegetables and potted plants, as well as a park, two restaurants, and two horse stables. The Way of St. James passes by the horse paddocks right through the middle of the village.
Large trucks aren’t allowed in our little village due to the weight limit on our river bridge, and the entire village is a 30 zone.

and if you do feel like heading to the big city, you can reach the city centers of Leipzig, Weimar, or Erfurt by car in one hour—that is, 65 km.

With 100 square metres, the apartment offers plenty of space for several people: One bathroom, two bedrooms—each with a double bed and a cot—and a sleeper sofa in the living room allow up to 6 people and a toddler to enjoy a relaxing holiday in the countryside.
My husband and I have furnished the holiday rental just the way we like to holiday ourselves—as a family with the whole gang, … including Grandma and Grandpa…. In 2021, we opened our 100-square-meter holiday rental, which accommodates up to 6 people and a toddler. A large double bed—two metres wide and 2.2 metres long—nestled beneath exposed beams and offering a view all the way up to the gable is the centrepiece of our family apartment. Another double bed, along with a cot, is in our “Rose Room,” and the sleeper sofa in the living room can accommodate two more people. All bedding, including beautiful linens, is always included. Since—even though you’re on holiday—you can’t or don’t want to eat out every day, we offer you the option to cook in a fully equipped kitchen: oven, 4 burners, refrigerator, dishwasher, sink, coffee maker, electric kettle, baking dish, hand mixer, sharp knives,… everything is there. Of course, we’ll provide you with towels. In the bathroom, you’ll find a sink, toilet, bathtub (with shower), an illuminated mirror, a hair dryer, a radio, and a small space heater.
A quick note on accessibility: I wouldn’t describe the apartment as fully accessible, but it’s close. Wherever possible, we’ve avoided thresholds in door frames, and a built-in stairlift allows access to the kitchen, living room, and the “Rose Room” (which serves as a bedroom). If you have any specific requirements regarding accessibility, please let us know in advance; my husband is an expert in this field, and we’re sure we can help you.



On-site costs: Payment of the total price is due by or upon arrival. We accept payments via advance bank transfer or in cash. Cancellations made up to 7 days before arrival are free of charge. The tourist tax (€3/night) is not included and will be charged separately on-site. Check-in: 3:00–6:00 p.m. Check-out: 9:00–11:00 a.m. Keys will be handed over in person on-site. Pets are generally not allowed in the apartment, nor is smoking. Cot: Available free of charge. Wi-Fi is also free, and a free parking space for your car is available 20 metres away on the village green. For check-in and check-out, you are, of course, welcome to drive your car right up to the courtyard.



Check-in is from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., and check-out is from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
