The Moorgeist holiday home is located in the village of Stedesdorf in a quiet setting and in the immediate vicinity of the North Sea spa town of Esens-Bensersiel on the East Frisian North Sea coast, right next to the unique Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park, an UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site since 2009.

The lovingly furnished and modernand cosy holiday home, Moorgeist, is approximately 100 square metres in size, very well-equipped, and ideal for a relaxing North Sea holiday for 2 to 5 people or for couples of all ages.

Stedesdorf is a small village located right on the outskirts of the historic “Bear Town” of Esens in the North Sea spa town of Esens-Bensersiel, whose areas and farms are widely scattered; yet you can reach the coast in about ten minutes by car.

In our holiday home in Stedesdorf near Esens and Bensersiel, you’ll find wonderful conditions for a beautiful and very relaxing East Frisia holiday. Wide-open countryside, lush meadows and fields, and a beautiful forest just around the corner offer unobstructed views and fresh air on wonderful walks and bike rides—all at a safe distance from the tourist hustle and bustle of the North Sea resorts and Siel villages! Let your mind wander during long walks along the beach and the dike. And we’ll even let you in on the quieter spots right by the dike and the North Sea.

Thanks to the excellent transport connections, you can easily reach all the many destinations and sights that East Frisia has to offer. A bike ride along the East Frisia Hiking Trail is the healthiest way to reach the coast and the dike, passing through an area rich in interesting flora and fauna.

In Bensersiel, visit the Nordseetherme Bensersiel water park, a modern, heated fun and leisure pool for the whole family. The therapy centre (including all spa facilities) as well as a modern wellness, sauna, and fitness centre are also located there. Or head to the beach to check out the new beach portal featuring “Bennis Abenteuerland,” a covered beach area for younger children. Go for a hike along the dike or in the Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park.

Bensersiel’s fantastic offerings are complemented by the over 475-year-old knight’s town of Esens, with its historic town centre. Here you’ll find a wide range of events—both small and large—museums, as well as dining options and shopping opportunities. And for the kids, Esens is home to the Klabautermann indoor play park, a large hall full of ideas for playing and running around.

You can also take day trips to the East Frisian Islands and visit numerous old mills, museums, exhibitions, and other cultural highlights. Or head to Werdum to visit the petting zoo, home to many small animals from all over the world. Or head to Neuharlingersiel. In addition to other attractions in this North Sea spa town, you’ll find the historic fishing harbour with its active crab-fishing fleet and “Platschi,” the fantastic water play area right in the middle of the beach.
