Overall, we had an okay stay, but there were several issues that future guests should be aware of.
The apartment itself was decent, but the cleanliness could definitely be improved. It did not feel as hygienic as we expected.
During our stay, water also started leaking from the ceiling, which was frustrating.
We also had an unfortunate incident where we accidentally left the key inside the apartment. We didn’t realize that once you locked the door, it would automatically close behind you. When the owner arrived, he told us we should have known because it was “common sense” and initially said it would cost €200. He eventually opened the door himself using his own tools, and there was no damage to the door or the apartment. Despite this, money was still deducted from our security deposit without any explanation of what the charge was for.
The location is another thing to consider. While the area is quiet, it is not within walking distance of the city center, so you’ll need a car or Uber to get around.
On the positive side, the apartment itself was nice enough, but because of the cleanliness issues, the ceiling leak, and the way the lockout situation and deposit were handled, our overall experience was disappointing.
