Lilly's Home vacation apartment with fantastic sun terrace

Welcome to Lilly's Home!
The apartment, which is about 40 square metres, is located in a bungalow where I also live. You'll be renting a fully equipped in-home apartment with its own entrance and a large terrace. This means you’ll have the place all to yourselves.
Of course, you’re welcome to use all areas of the 1,000-square-meter garden surrounding the bungalow, including the fire pit.

The apartment, which is about 40 square metres, is a fully equipped unit within a bungalow that I also live in myself. Lilly’s Home has a separate entrance and its own large wooden deck, so you’ll have the place all to yourselves.
Warm wood, inviting shades of green and beige, furniture made from recycled teak, the Balinese canopy bed, a large wooden deck, bamboo in the garden—it’s impossible to miss: my many travels, especially to Southeast Asia, have shaped the style of Lilly’s Home. Maybe you, too, won’t be able to take your eyes off this beautiful double door from Bali!
A small entryway leads you into the living room, where you’ll find the dining table and a cosy sofa for when you want to watch your favourite shows.
If there are three of you, the sofa in the living room converts into a comfortable box-spring bed with a full-length 90x200 cm mattress plus a topper.
If you don’t feel like dining out at one of Eggstätt’s great restaurants, you can whip up a delicious meal in the small but charming kitchen—pizza is always a good option!
The spacious 18-square-meter wooden deck on the west side is a little oasis of relaxation and enjoys beautiful sunshine from noon until evening. It’s surrounded by lush greenery and a wonderful bamboo hedge. The spacious terrace has plenty of room for all sorts of activities: After breakfast at the small dining table, you squint up at the glorious blue sky from the sun lounger, watch the gently swaying curtains between the lines of your book, and eventually drift off to the soft rustling of the bamboo—relaxed, as if you’ve been transported to Bali or under your favourite palm tree.
But wait—wasn’t that a distinct “Moo!” you just heard in the distance? You’re awake again! And you treat yourself to a cool spritz in the chic lounge, shaded by a sun sail. You’ll then bid the sun farewell on your yoga mat in the most beautiful evening atmosphere.
Don’t want anyone watching you sunbathe or do your sun salutation? Then you can cover the entire terrace with curtains to block the view.
You don’t even have to miss out on the warm tropical rain. You can enjoy it under the rain shower in the lovely bathroom. And best of all: the electricity that makes the tropical rain so wonderfully warm—and that you use at Lilly’s Home—comes from the sun here too, at least in the summer.
In the evening, candles or a dimmable string of lights provide the perfect lighting for your BBQ in the outdoor living room. The grill is right next door. You’ll have picked up the ingredients beforehand at the nearby supermarket, which is just a ten-minute walk from the apartment. But be sure to turn off the lights every now and then and marvel at the Milky Way on clear nights—it shines incredibly brightly here.
And finally, when you’re tired enough, the Balitor opens up into a large four-poster bed. The first of what will hopefully be many good nights in seventh heaven—and how quiet it is here at night! Insect screens keep pesky little critters at bay.
Had enough of the idyll for two or three at Lilly’s Home? Then head out and discover Eggstätt and its surroundings!
Lilly’s Home is quietly located in a residential area in the southern part of the municipality of Eggstätt. The village centre, with its various shops and restaurants, as well as Lake Hartsee, are all within walking distance.
If hunger drives you out of paradise, Eggstätt has two traditional inns with beer gardens and an award-winning tapas restaurant. For those who prefer to cook for themselves: within walking distance of Lilly’s Home is a supermarket with a bakery and its own butcher shop.
For active guests, why not head first to the idyllic, nearby Hartsee to soak up the sun on the large sunbathing lawn at the beach? In addition to swimming and relaxing, you can also play volleyball, basketball, and mini-golf there, or sit in the beer garden with a beer and chat. But this nature reserve is also an excellent place for hiking, biking, jogging, and simply enjoying the outdoors.
The approximately 5-km-long Hartsee Loop Trail is especially beautiful for a walk or a jog in the morning mist—you might even spot a deer
