Vacation home "Am Hahnberg" -Recreation on the outskirts of Chemnitz

Welcome to our cosy holiday home with old-world charm at the foot of the Ore Mountains, in the Harthau district of Chemnitz.
The property is located in a quiet spot on the edge of the forest at the end of a cul-de-sac. Perfect for guests who want to enjoy peace and nature. Here, the day begins with birdsong and ends with the calls of foxes and owls.
Hiking and biking trails leading into the Ore Mountains start right next to the house (50 m). From the street, you can reach the apartment via a gently sloping, paved path with a handrail on the side. On our 1,200-square-meter property, you’ll find a terrace with an awning and seating area, a barbecue area, and a beautifully landscaped garden—ideal for relaxing and unwinding.
The apartment spans two floors and accommodates 2 people. The house is fully furnished and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Fully equipped kitchen (with fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, stove, coffee maker, toaster, etc.)
Large bathroom with shower and bathtub
Separate toilet (in the hallway)

The house is not wheelchair accessible.
No cot or high chair available.

Bed linens, towels, shower mats, and tea towels can be provided for a fee.
Shopping options such as bakeries, butcher shops, discount stores, shopping centers, restaurants, as well as a petrol station and the City-Bahn stop are approximately 1.5 km to 2 km away.
The cities of Dresden and Leipzig are approximately 50 km away. The Fichtelberg, at 1,214 metres, and the town of Oberwiesenthal are also approximately 50 km away.
Other excursion destinations include, for example: Klaffenbach Water Castle, Augustusburg Palace, Oederan (Small Ore Mountains), Seiffen, Greifensteine with its natural amphitheatre, and, of course, the city of Chemnitz itself, designated as the 2025 Capital of Culture. The Ore Mountains have a lot to offer that you might not even realise at first glance. It’s always worth a visit and ideal for hiking, skiing, and biking.
