Our "Hexenhäusle" is an enchanting place for a holiday away from the hustle and bustle. Located in the quiet, idyllic hinterland of Lake Constance, it invites you to relax and let yourself be pampered.
Located right next to the “Löwen” inn, the cottage offers space for two small but charming holiday apartments. Franz Pfaff, our family’s carpenter, renovated the apartments with great care, creativity, and respect for the historic building.
On the lower floor, a charming apartment awaits you, accommodating three to a maximum of four people. A small, fully equipped kitchen is perfect for cooking, and you can enjoy your meals in the cosy living room with a wood-burning stove or outside on the terrace. There are two bedrooms—one with a double bed and one with two single beds—ideal for two younger guests. The bathroom features a bathtub.
During the warmer months, the terrace and surrounding meadows are perfect for breakfast, playing, or reading in a lounge chair. A fire pit and a grill are also available. Children can let off steam at the playground around the corner or build dams in the small stream behind the cottage. And if you’re looking for something more lively, you can treat yourself to a culinary experience at the “Löwen,” go hiking, or take a trip to Lake Constance, 12 kilometres away. Other holiday destinations, such as Salem Castle, the Affenberg, the beautiful town of Meersburg, or the pile dwellings in Uhldingen, are all within easy reach.
Finally, a note about the apartment’s ceiling height: it’s relatively low (195 cm), so taller people will need to be prepared to duck their heads. During the cooler seasons, a wood-burning stove keeps the apartment comfortably warm; there are also electric radiators, but these should be used sparingly. Our little witch’s cottage is not a luxury property and does not (yet) have Wi-Fi—but it is a cosy old building with plenty of charm, surrounded by meadows, old trees, and a stream whose murmur makes for a wonderful night’s sleep.
