The spacious Schafberg apartment is located on the ground floor and offers plenty of room for families or friends. The fully equipped kitchen-dining area, featuring a large dining table, TV, and comfortable armchairs, invites you to relax and unwind. The first bedroom has a closet, a TV, and a private bathroom with a shower, toilet, hair dryer, and towels. The second bedroom also features a private bathroom, a closet, a pull-out couch, and a TV. Ideal for anyone travelling together who still wants to enjoy some privacy.



Holiday at the Klinglerbauer in Strobl on Lake Wolfgang
Our farm is nestled in the countryside & sunny on the outskirts of Strobl—in the beautiful Salzkammergut region. Strobl is known for its idyllic location, its proximity to the Postalm, and its easy access to St. Wolfgang and Bad Ischl. The public swimming area, the boat dock (just a 10-minute walk away), and the bus stop for excursions are all within easy reach. ?????
???? Animals and Nature – right in the middle of it all, not just on the sidelines
Our animals live in a species-appropriate environment: the cows and calves enjoy their modern free-stall barn. In the summer, our young cattle are up on the alpine pasture – right at the foot of the Postalm. Our cats roam around the house, making sure everything is in order ????. And Mira, our dog, watches over the house and yard ????. Children are welcome to help with feeding, pitch in at the barn, or simply watch the animals. The garden and a small play area offer plenty of space to run around.
? Holiday apartments in our former barn—lovingly renovated
We—Elli & Franz Eisl—run the Klinglerbauer together with our four adult children, Martin, Katharina, Michaela, and Anna. Two years ago, our old barn was still in use. With a lot of hard work and our own efforts, we’ve transformed it into three beautiful holiday apartments—bright, welcoming, and featuring plenty of wood and attention to detail. Each apartment sleeps 2–5 people, has its own entrance, and is equipped with a fully stocked kitchen, living area, and bathroom with shower and toilet. All apartments feature a French balcony. The garden is reserved exclusively for our guests—here you can relax, play, or simply enjoy the peace and quiet ????. You can conveniently park your car in the carport—it stays cool in the summer and snow-free in the winter. Our property is equipped with a solar power system, and an electric vehicle charging station is available. Sustainability is important to us—we live in harmony with nature and think about tomorrow.
?? Summer Activities Around Strobl
In the summer, you can set out on a hike or bike ride right from the farm. Lake Wolfgang is perfect for swimming, boating, or stand-up paddleboarding. The Postalm offers easy hiking trails and wonderful alpine air. For trips to Bad Ischl or Salzburg, simply take the bus or, if possible, the boat—ideal for families without a car. A real hidden gem: a ride on the Schafbergbahn or a circular hike around the Zwölferhorn ??????????.
?? Winter at the farm—small, charming, and family-friendly
When it snows, things get especially cosy here. Right behind the house, a small sledding hill awaits the kids—we’re happy to provide sleighs. The Postalm is ideal for families: wide slopes and plenty of winter hiking trails. If you’re looking for a bit more, take the ski bus to the Dachstein-West ski area ????. You’ll find cross-country ski trails right behind the house—and the Wolfgangsee Advent brings lights, festive cheer, and special moments.
