Storm surge-proof sea dykes, farms, narrow roads and cycle paths characterize the atmosphere of this island, which lies in the middle of the "UNESCO World Heritage Wadden Sea". The island's sights are best explored by bike or on foot. Child-friendly beaches with shallow bathing waters invite you to a real family vacation. Here you can observe the changing tides, go on mudflat hikes and experience a "nature vacation" that is no longer possible in some regions.
