Lovely stay - the area is beautiful, space in both cottages is so spacious. There are lots of stairs that I wouldn’t recommend for young ones. Warren was great to communicate with.
This well appointed, comfortable and clean location was ideal for our 11 person, multi-generational family reunion. Everything was as advertised and interactions with Warren and Ron were friendly and efficient.
Only caveat would be that stairs inside and out are steep, so might not be the best for people with mobility limitations.
This cottage was beautifully renovated without losing the cottage vibe. The beds and living spaces were very comfortable and the property boasted all the amenities you could possibly need for your stay. The scenic views from the cottage windows or from the wrap-around balconies are breathtaking. Communication with the host was very responsive and friendly. Fenelon Falls is a lovely town and the cottage is close to grocery stores and restaurants.

Thanks for your business. We look forward to hosting your Family again.
I stayed with a couple of friends for 3 nights during the winter time. The view of the lake from the large windows were breathtaking! Warren was super responsive and check-in instructions were clear. There is enough kitchen supplies so you don't need to bring anything extra. The beds were super comfy, place was clean and overall a really fun experience! The pool table was a plus!

We had a great time!
We had 12 guys up for a friends gathering for a weekend and had a great time! The owner was very helpful through the whole rental process as was his assistant. Sure there are a lot of stairs as pointed out by one of the last posters on here, but the pictures clearly show that. Also, although the neighbors were close we had no problems with them at all.
Everyone that went was very impressed with the value and the amenities included. I'd rent again for sure.
We stayed over the new years weekend and had a blast. There was six adults and 7 kids that slept comfortably in the main house. Was very clean with no issues to deal with. Warren was great and communications were amazing. We talked back and forth when needed to with no problems. Responds fast. Great area with lcbo and grocery store almost walking distance. Would stay again and highly recommend this cottage for anyone.
The property was gorgeous and impeccably clean. Check-in was very smooth - Ron was wonderful! The kitchen was very well stocked and there was of room for our big family, including four very busy little kids. The neighbours are close-by which may sometimes be a downside, but they were incredibly friendly and even invited us to use some of their space and sports equipment for the kids! Warren was very attentive. Above all, it gave us a beautiful space to share our Dad's 75th with the whole family. We hope to be back soon.
Wow, what a wonderful place! We had a fabulous time at this beautiful lakeside cottage. We were looking for a modern yet comfortable place where we could get together as a large family. Not easy to find, but we were not disapointed. The property is right on the lake yet close to the restaurants, shopping and other amenities of Fenelon Falls (the Sobey's has a remarkably large selection of groceries). There are plenty of bedrooms with comfortable beds, enough room so we could all get together as a group yet enough balconies and other places to go if someone wanted to read or just wanted peace and quiet.
We can highly recommend this place and hope we'll get another opportunity to stay here!
The cottage is in a good location, although the property is not large. Summer time would offer more 'outdoor' space.
Kitchen is well equipped. Beds are very comfortable. We enjoyed the pool table and downstairs living area, as well as the spacious living room.
Seating for 6 at the table and 4 at the counter. Stairs to second level and basement are circular and could be hard to navigate for some. Open concept to upper level.
Host was easy to reach and responded quickly and positively to our queries and requests.
Highly recommend.
The home is very well equipped and ready for all your needs. We had 7 total in our party and were very well and easily accommodated. Quick and easy drive to town for restaurants and supplies. Communications with owner were very good and easy. We had ZERO issues with home. It's rare today that everything goes PERFECT. Our stay was PERFECT in every way!!!!!
Would I go back? In a minute, Fishing was awesome. Caught two muskies along Long Beach. /for bass, go no further than left off dock along the inlet. LOTS of bass hot spots. Bed id very comfortable. Slept very well. Don't pass up this home. Look no further. Comfort for the whole family! You'll br he vacation hero.
It had everything that was promised in the Ad. There were some little things which irritated rather than upset ie, only one light above the pool table rather than three, two pool cues, one without tip, difficulty the older and younger guests had handling the ground floor bathroom door. It stuck repeatedly and was confusing to lock for privacy. The steps to the water without handrail discouraged older guests from going down them. The activity missed had to be balanced against the risks of injury if you fell. More night lighting would also be better. The frig in the main house was surprisingly small; 11 poeple need a lot of supplies

Thanks for review David,
we did manage to get the pool cue and light bulbs within two hours of your check in.
We typically only keep the two cues for the pool table.
The shower door has been addressed.
We walked your extended family thru the home at check in and showed them all the outdoor motion, sofit and solar lighting to keep your guests safe while moving around at night. Look forward to hosting again in the future.
Stayed in this wonderful property for one week. Group included 9 adults and 2 children, ages 9 and 12. The location is SPECTACULAR! Everyone had an amazing time. Met Warren the owner, at check in, and he gave us a very thorough walk thru. We had no need to communicate during our stay as nothing came up but I have no doubt he would have been very responsive. The only struggle we had was around towels. If I had one suggestion it would be to consider providing some beach towels. Two of our group were coming from the US and five from another province. It wasn’t practical to bring them with us. And another cooking spatula for the kitchen! Our mornings were spent on the upper deck and down at the lake. Technology screens for the kids were happily kept to a minimum because they were busy swimming and boating. Our son and daughter in law had gotten married the day after we checked in and loved having the boat house to themselves. We also had a thunder and lightening storm one night which was very exciting as our grandchildren seldom get them where they live. All in all, a really GREAT week for everyone!

Nice Cottage, Bad Experience
We rented this cottage for a week early August 2016 with our adult children and 6 month grandchild.
We had a great time and the cottage was very nice, however we feel we must inform everyone who is thinking of renting this cottage or any cottage from this owner that we were treated unfairly, being accused of things we did not do.
It took over 27 days to get most of our deposit back (they kept a few hundred dollars) and then we were told there was damage to the floor, the screen and the stove. We were also charged extra for cleaning and told it was because the cleaning lady took extra time to clean and she is paid on an hourly basis, but this made no sense because we left the cottage almost as clean as when we arrived. We wonder if he is charging everyone who rents his cottage with the same damages and same vague excuse that the cottage was left unclean.
The WiFi was okay at best, always cutting in and out which was a problem because we had a baby monitor with us that ran on WiFi. The DVD didn’t work in the basement and with 2 rainy days, we wanted to watch movies, which we couldn’t. We spoke with him while we were there and he told us he would bring us a new DVD player, but he never showed up. The pictures on the web site show 2 umbrellas on the main deck and when we arrived there were no umbrellas, and some days eating in the full sun was very uncomfortable.
The worst part is we have no way to get our money back for being accused of things we did not do. This has left a terrible taste in our mouths and to think, we were planning on booking with them again next year. Not a chance! I hope this does not get taken down from the website, because everything I am writing is true! Beware!!

Thank you for your review as we do appreciate renters taking the time to post their review. After your departure, we received the report from the cleaning and maintenance staff. It has been documented and photographed that you cause property damage and left the houses in unsatisfactory condition. The $200 deduction did not even cover our cost to repair and clean the mess left behind. We run our property as a business and treat every customer with integrity. As far as the Wifi is concerned, there is Wifi in the main house and was never noted to have complete property coverage. We have purchased a new Wifi system for our upcoming rental year with an extension to the boathouse. In regards to the DVD player, we have 3 DVD players throughout the house and advised you to move them wherever you wanted. We operate with clear lines of communication and advise all of my potential guests to read their rental agreement to avoid any issues. - Warren
This weekend was amazing!
We enjoyed first warm days at the lake.
Pedal boat and kayak let us feel approaching summer.
Waterfront views, sunrise and sunset, friendly neighbors and so welcoming host, Warren. All of it made our stay unforgettably warm, heart touching and filling with good wibes.
We walked through the Fenelon Falls, by the trail, got lost in an antique store, came into the nice Italian restaurant and spent the rest of the time watching the water.
Warren and his team made everything to help us feel as comfort as it's possible.
Spring is here. Summer is coming :)
Both houses very well equipped, we found everything in a great condition, extremely clean and comfortable.
Good beds and pillows, towels, enough kitchen stuff for 10 people, good furniture.
Houses are warm, sunny and spacious.
Easy to get to the town. The trail is in few steps from the cottage.
Absolutely great stay!

Thanks Warren and Ron. We had a great stay. The main cottage is gorgeous with an awesome kitchen and lots of room to spread out. We made excellent use of the pool table. Walking distance into town was a bonus and those views of the sun coming up over the water can't be beat@
Great Place well maintained but owner was a stickler about noise levels.
We went as a family to this property for an anniversary. The place itself was beautiful and clean. When we got there, the driveway wasn't shoveled so i had to shovel it myself.
Since we were there as a family for our anniversary, we were generally having a good time. We were hanging out inside the property until late and playing poker while listening to some music. I had gone outside the prperty to ensure that no noise was travelling outside as we were aware that the property was very close to others in the area and didn't want to be a disturbance to anyone around. That night i received a call from the owner of the property that the decibel levels ( yes, he had a monitor to measure the decibal levels INSIDE the house ) and exceeded the 75 limit that he had set and had done so for a couple of hours. I informed him that i went outside and no noise was traveling outside the house. The next day we saw the neighbours outside and they generally asked how we liked the place and if were enjoying our stay. They made no mention of any noise reaching them. The owner called me the next day to ask why we were "partying" until late. I told him that it was a family party and we were not being excessively noisy and that i had made sure to walk outside to check that we weren't bothering anyone. I told him that we aren't teens throwing a crazy party and trashing his place. He asked why we had an RV parked outside. I thought that it was an odd question..why would it matter if we travelled in an RV. Anyways long story short, he was a stickler about noise levels inside the house and mentioned a by-law of the city that doesn't permit noise levels above 75db. I informed him that the by-law applies to noise travelling outside the house and not in the house. Just for a reference, he had sent me a graph of our noise levels inside the house. When i looked at that graph, it was showing that at 11pm the following day when half the people weren't even in the house and we were just having lunch, the noise levels where crossing the 75db level. So with no music and just 5 of us there having lunch, we were apparently still breaking the 75db level he had set. I guess he doesn't expect his guests to talk at his property at all.
All in all, a great weekend was made not so great by the owners constant petulence about the noise levels.
Even though the property is listed to accomodate 10+ people, i would seriously only consider this property for a small group.

To all potential guests,
We are in the business of providing great experiences to all our guests.
When it snows our crew arrives after the snow has stopped to clean up the driveways and walkways.
It’s unfortunate that you did not enjoy your stay but it’s our responsibility to insure that our guests don’t disturb our Neighbors.
That said local bylaws permit sound levels not to exceed certain thresholds.
When we are notified from our neighbours that it’s loud and a party is taking place we communicate with our guests to keep the noise down to avoid upsetting the community.
To bring DJ equipment along with speakers and amplifiers is not permitted in our home as noted in our booking application.
Rv’s parked on the property are subject to approval due to city bylaws and guest capacity.
It’s unfortunate some guest feel they can do as they wish while coming up for a weekend.
We communicate the message of family vacation destination very clearly and believe our reviews speak to our reputation.

Highly recommended.... Property posting is totally accurate with host responsiveness A++. The grounds were fantastic with tons of multi-level decking and outdoor space/ landscaping and very clean. Extremely well equipped kitchen/facilities with modern kitchens and tons of space. Boathouse is awesome. Very well managed and exceeded expectations. Our group had a great time.

Warren's property was top notch and perfect for a large family. We are a family of 14 and there was still room to spare. Everything was very clean and neat and well thought of. The house is a fun and quirky layout but works perfect. The kitchens are fully stocked, beds were comfortable and the water area was perfect for swimming and bonfires.
Warren's communications were clear and precise and he made us feel at home. We would definitely recommend this place to others in a heartbeat.

Lovely property but had some negatives
My family of 4 along with our extended family (a total of 10 people and 1 dog) stayed here for a week at the start of the summer. We happily spent more than we would normally for the perks of having 2 separate cottages, air conditioning and a gorgeous view of Sturgeon Lake. The water was beautiful and clean and calm. Even though we only had inflatables, all boats moving through the channel in front of the cottage were very conscious of the speed limit and slowed right down making us feel super safe swimming and floating in front of the cottage.
Take note: The main house is very open concept and noise can easily be heard from the upstairs bedroom when the family is in the basement watching a movie. In the boathouse, the air conditioning is a wall unit which makes the bedroom pretty stuffy as the cool air from the A/C doesn't get circulated into it.
Warren is very proud of his property and easy to contact and will respond to emails of phone calls quickly.
Our weekend away was perfect! Warren and Mandy were incredible in accommodating our family for the weekend. They were attentive to our needs and readily available. The main house and boat house were immaculate and clean with more than enough amenities to make us feel right at home. The lake is breathtaking and calm which adds to the relaxation. We definitely hope to be back as we just loved our time in Fenelon Falls. You will not be disappointed!
