Bikes for hire, taxi rank next door. Nice cafés and restaurants in historic squares and in front of sights. Mostly nice weather, with few rainy days. Christmas and New Year's Eve are very varied in Rome. Big sales, high discounts even in luxury boutiques, from around 10 July and 7 January for several weeks.
