Three cosy bedrooms, a warm and inviting living room with a dining table and sofa, and a traditional kitchen with a wood-burning stove create a genuine mountain cabin atmosphere.

A special highlight is the hot tub and the sauna—ideal for relaxing after an active day in the mountains. Electricity is generated sustainably via solar power and a backup generator, and drinks can be cooled in true mountain style in the well. On the large balcony, the sunbathing lawn with a garden shower, the barbecue area, and the hand-carved sun loungers, you’ll enjoy unforgettable moments amidst the Carinthian mountains.

The Birkhahn Hut is idyllically and completely secluded at 1,800 metres above sea level—a true gem for anyone seeking authenticity, spectacular views, and unspoiled nature. Perched high up on a beautiful alpine meadow, you’ll enjoy an impressive panoramic view here: from the Goldeck to Upper Carinthia and all the way to Carinthia’s highest swimming lake. A holiday for the body, mind—and eyes.

The lodge is situated in the middle of a pastureland and is surrounded by a large, fenced-in property., Whether sunbathing on the lawn, relaxing in the shade of the trees, or spending an evening in the hot tub under the starry sky—it’s easy to unwind here. Despite its secluded location, the Birkhahn Hütte is easily accessible.

The nearest town, Kleblach, is about 14 kilometres away. There you’ll find shops for daily necessities as well as restaurants. We highly recommend the nearby Gasthaus zur Post, which serves traditional Carinthian specialities.

You’ll arrive by car; a garage for two vehicles is available right next to the cabin. Pets are welcome.
