Colònia de Sant Jordi is a former fishing village and belongs to the municipality of Ses Salines, which is located in the south-east corner of Mallorca between Santanyí and Campos and takes its name from the centuries-old salt pans used by the Romans. There are picturesque harbour promenades with numerous bars and restaurants for going out or taking a stroll. Several other beaches in the south of Mallorca are also within easy reach, such as the famous Es Trenc. Insider tip: Spend at least one day at Es Caragol beach, very close to the town. It cannot be reached by car (but is easy to walk to) and is therefore deserted on many days of the year. The paradisiacal Villa Salinera is situated close to the beach in a quiet location in the south of Mallorca, near the small coastal town of Colonia de Sant Jordi, and is the perfect romantic villa holiday for a couple.
