Secluded with great views!

Our group of four enjoyed our stay, Chris and Niah were extremely helpful throughout our stay with area recommendations, transportation, car rental (very helpful), food shopping, laundry and even cooking a meal. Having contractors show up and work with power tools the last two days of our stay was not expected or appreciated. That was never discussed prior to or during our stay until they showed up!

Easy place to stay with a great view.

Cosmos recommended car hire from cosmopolitan cars who were great. They met us at the airport despite a 2 hour delay. We had no issues with the car which was ideal for the bumpy roads.Cosmos was very helpful and guided us to the house in the dark. The house has a great view and the beach is a 5 min walk. It is a lovely beach despite the huge hotel. The naked fisherman is a really nice close restaurant and we bought fresh fish from the fisheries is Gros islet which is very close. There is a very friendly bird that asks for food in the morning he is very sweet.Cosmos kindly offered us the use of a pool on the property though we sadly did not have the weather to make use of it.The only downside was the 2nd bedroom not having a window and that could be an issue if more of you are staying. The main bedroom has a lovely view overlooking the sea.Thank you for having us to stay.

Gina Villa review (downstairs 2 bdrm Beachfront Cottage unit)

The Beachfront Cottage is situated on a hill overlooking Smugglers Bay with Martinique in the background. Our unit had two bedrooms, two bath, kitchen and living room. Outside was the beautiful balcony overlooking the incredible ocean view. Although not particularly "high end" the unit was very comfortable and functional. Its strengths are its charm, location, and incredible service of the hosts who reside nearby. Should one wish to go with a large group, Gina Villa is able to accommodate 20+ people over their three units. Apart from some breakfasts and daily morning coffees, we ate out every night but one. Our hosts prepared a delicious traditional St Lucian home cooked meal which we highly recommend! Our hosts were also very knowledgeable of the island and directing us to must dos. Overall, we enjoyed our stay thoroughly and are considering to come back with extended family.

STOP, STOP, STOP – READ THIS FIRST! Before you book please read - Upon arrive at the place…

Upon arrive at the place… Air-conditioning – ONLY the bedroom has air-conditioning which you are told cannot go below 74 degrees, the main house there is NO air-conditioning at all. NO where in his AD does it say this. It’s was 90 degrees there and only room where you can be comfortable is the Bedroom with NO TV in it. Mosquitoes – the place was infested with them. When I asked about why there where so many mosquitoes I was told Ben sprays for them every day at 6pm at night. My wife got over 50 bites on first night. There were also Cockroaches in the place and my wife is allergic to them. This is un-acceptable as they were all inside the house, but there was nothing we could do about it. I wanted to put pictures up be they are not allowed in reviews. Beachfront property – the property is listed as beachfront but it is not. You have to walk down a big steep treacherous path over a ¼ mile to get to the beach. This path is cover with rocks, branches and you can easily get hurt very bad. At the end of the path there are security guards as this is the hotel Royalton beach resort. I have a video of this but not allow to post it. HOTTUBE – We had a COLD hot-tube with no heat and also with branches, leaf’s and bugs always falling into it. Then I was told I could have a hot-tube if I wanted to pay $25.00 dollars per day. Dogs – they have two dogs on the property that are always in the walk way. They are friendly dogs but you better be watching your feet or you will trip on them. Internet – Did not work when we got there, but after a few hours Ben got it working. But it was not good internet and you could not go far away from the main router if you want to use the internet. After the night my wife being bit alive by Mosquitoes, I asked the owner for a refund as we could not stay where my wife was being eaten alive by Mosquitoes and having Cockroaches inside the house, and on top of that sweating to death in a hotbox of a main room. The owners said some really nasty words to my wife which I will not repeat here, then screaming at us that it was our problem and we rented the place so we were stuck there. So I could not let my wife stay in this Mosquitoes infested place with no air. I had to pay 3 times the price to rent a place at the Royalton so my wife would be comfortable. Receipt that I paid $2, 606.00 to stay at the Royalton Hotel because I could not stay there. Again I have pictures but cannot post them Hope this helps you.

very good time

We have been pleasantly surprised to rent. We came with girlfriends to enjoy the mercury festival. The services offered by host exceeded our expectations. With them, your requests are achievable. We felt safe and in a very pleasant setting. The house is beautiful and rustic. A big thank you Kris.

St. Lucia at it's best

We stayed in the beach front cottage while the rest of our group was at Villa Gina. Cosmo was great to work with and very accomodating. His staff, Chris and Laura, ensured everything we needed was taken care of and gave us great insight to the island, where to eat, and what to do for fun. I will try and get the family there again. North Pointe Riding Stables was a highlight for things to do too!!

Paradise and great location!!!

My time at this villa was phenomenal. It gave my family of four ladies the best of both worlds in one vacation . Close enough to town but far enough from others that everything felt private. The villa is literally a 2 minute walk to an isolated beach. Talk about a special treat. My cousins would walk there every evening and relax. They would usually have the beach to themselves. In addition to this beach, pigeon island is only a 15 minute walk away, and the main road where buses can be picked up is only a 40 minute walk away. Many people are not up to walk anywhere but I love it and this made the location perfect . In addition to the location of the villa, the villa itself is lovely. The layout of the property is great for families or for two couples. My one complaint about the villa is the lack of screens on the windows, in the main area. There is a nice seabreeze that flows and keeps the villa cool but without screens mosquitos come in freely. I loved the breeze so much that I took my chances with the mosquitos. Screens would make it possible to keep the villa cool without risk of mosquitos. There are working air conditioners in the bedrooms. They work too well for my liking but my cousins loved how cool the rooms were with them. What I liked most about the villa is the staff. Laura and Chris are great. They are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable on all things St Lucia. Laura even gave me a few pointers on making fresh cherry juice, with cherries I picked from the garden. I look forward to returning to St Lucia and I would definitely stay at this villa again.

Homey Cottage

We were comfortable except that the lack of hot water at the kitchen sink for food preparation and dish washing and none at bathroom lavatory for shaving and hand washing were a let down. Consequently it defeated the purpose of eating in and found we took all meals except morning coffee and cereal out. The spa tub remained covered the entire time. We know the owner told us to have it heated would cost extra, but the pictures of the property made the spa appear a romantic, comfort option. The manager was wonderful as she went out of her way to correct inefficiencies through the rental car company we had contracted with. The on site young man provided us comfort knowing we had someone available at all hours. He offered to run the dishwasher for us but that would still not help with food preparation without hot water. Perhaps if we had asked he would have prepared the spa tub. The view was great, the air conditioned bedroom much appreciated, and the dogs were so affectionate. Definitely needed are two or four beach chairs and a small cooler for snacks and cold drinks for time at the beaches. The Smuggler's Cove Resort where we walk to the beach was extremely crowded leaving us no choice but to drive to another beach at Pigeon Island. We're glad we visited St. Lucia but will most likely not return. We enjoy quiet beaches we would not return as many beaches are fronted by resorts.
