Apartment Krippen-an der Grundmühle / Family apartment with 3 bedrooms

Welcome to the holiday apartment "Krippen-an der Grundmühle" – in the Saxon Switzerland National Park, a paradise for hiking and climbing. Enjoy your stay at the foot of the Kohlbornstein mountain in the tranquil village of Krippen.

The holiday apartment is 75 m² and is located on the first floor of a house with four apartments.

With its three bedrooms, living room, kitchen, bathroom, and guest toilet, the apartment is ideal for a small group or larger family of up to six adults. It is also frequently booked by young families with small children.

The bedrooms are 17, 10, and 8 m², and the living/dining room, including the bay window (small conservatory), is 18 m². The bay window, accessible from the living room, is not heated. The guest toilet is located outside the apartment, halfway between the ground floor and the first floor.

The apartment spans two levels, therefore there is a small staircase with five steps within the apartment.

Furthermore, the house contains a rental apartment on the ground floor as well as two smaller holiday apartments.

If you require more space, we would be happy to check if another holiday apartment is available in the house.

Exterior:
This holiday apartment includes the double garage at the rear of the property as well as the entire area in front of both garages.

In the double garage, you will find four guest bicycles, a seating area (for six people), a ping-pong table, a grill, a fire pit, and other items that you are welcome to use free of charge.

The village of Krippen lies on the left bank of the Elbe River. From here, you can easily reach numerous hiking destinations in the national park on foot. You can conveniently cross to the other side of the Elbe by ferry, allowing you to leave your car behind. Thanks to the guest card, the Elbe ferries, buses, and the S-Bahn (suburban train) are free of charge. A bus stop is within sight, approximately 50 meters from the house.

The painter Caspar David Friedrich was drawn to the village 200 years ago, creating his famous drawings and paintings.

The following services are included in the overnight price: final cleaning, towels, bed linens, guest bicycles, and all other games/equipment in the double garage.

The following are not included in the overnight price: the visitor's tax, which must be paid on-site upon arrival. The visitor's tax is €3 per guest per night (€1.50 with a discount). Please note that card payments are not accepted.

Use of the washing machine incurs a fee of €2.50 per load.

The town of Bad Schandau levies a tourist tax for the town area and its districts.

To take advantage of the associated benefits, you will receive a guest card per person upon arrival. This card allows you unlimited travel on public transport within the Upper Elbe Transport Association (VVO) network in Saxon Switzerland, within fare zones Pirna (70), Bad Gottleuba (71), Bad Schandau (72), and Neustadt (73). This also includes ferries across the Elbe River.

Excluded are special transport services, such as the excursion boat or private bus services.

For journeys beyond the valid fare zones of Saxon Switzerland, such as to Dresden or Bohemian Switzerland, a connecting ticket must be purchased.

The mobile guest card is non-transferable and is only valid in conjunction with a valid photo ID. Further information about the tourist tax can be found in our guest information folder after your arrival.

For using public transport in the region, we recommend the VVO app (Verkehrsverbund Oberelbe - Upper Elbe Transport Association). Guests arriving by train and bus should pay attention to bus schedules, especially in the evenings.

- Krippen train station 1.5 km (S-Bahn stop, Dresden - Bad Schandau - Schöna line)

- "Krippen Alte Schule" bus stop approx. 650 m from the house

- Krippen ferry landing in the village approx. 1.2 km

Bicycles:
If you would like to use our 5 complimentary guest bicycles, they are available in the double garage behind the house. We will gladly check the availability of additional bicycles upon request.

If you have your own bicycles, you are welcome to lock them in the garage.

Smoking:
Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the house, including this apartment. Smokers are welcome to use the outdoor area on the property.
