The famous little church in the St. Johann district boasts a proud 1,100-year history and is one of Bavaria’s protected historical monuments. The current mill in St. Johann was first mentioned in 1392. The mill still operates today, grinding grain by hand using water power from the Rote Traun River, completely free of chemicals and genetic engineering. In addition to various types of flour, the historic mill shop also offers many regional and organic products. The couple who own the property live nearby on Lake Chiemsee. We are passionate about the mountains and would be happy to provide you with information about regional hikes and tips on special trails leading up to the alpine pastures.
