Luxury linens and towels, two televisions, board games, a library of books and magazines and a wood burning fireplace. Enjoy the fully stocked kitchen or take a 5 minute drive to one the many restaurants in the area.

My friends and I had a great stay at Teresa and Glenn's house in Half Moon Bay. The accommodations are very comfortable and we had everything we needed. The place was spotless when we arrived and the check-in process was straightforward. The house is in a quiet neighborhood and very close to everything we needed. We hope to stay there again.

What a delight! Beautifully decorated beach house with all of the amenities needed for our week in HMB. Comfy beds, relaxing living room, and rear patio every morning. We couldn’t ask for a better home for a vacation with our visiting family from China. Highly recommended!!

House was spotless and fresh. We were greeted on arrival and made to feel welcome and at home. The location is quiet, but an easy walk to the beach or good restaurants.

Fantastic Home!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to go back again. The home is beautiful and the owners have gone out of their way to make it feel like "home". The home is stocked with everything you could need...and then some. The check-in and check-out process is very personalized which adds such a nice touch.

Perfect

The attention to details was amazing and much appreciated / from initial inquiry to 'check out' Glenn and Teresa were responsive and easy to communicate with. Lorri was welcoming and informative. We loved the cake, cheese & crackers and the croissants! We rode the bikes, sat by the fire pit, made a fire one morning and ate out on the porch each evening ...it was a perfect long weekend. We look forward to returning to this special house.

Fabulous family stay in Half Moon Bay

We had a wonderful time at Teresa and Glenn's property! The house is exactly as described and so much more. Whether you're looking to enjoy a quiet stay in HMB or use it (as we did) for home base for your Bay Area excursions, this is a wonderful spot, we could have stayed here forever! The house has all the amenities you need, along with some very sweet surprise treats from Teresa and Glenn. They have thought of everything! Lorri was also very gracious while introducing us to the property and checking us out. She made sure we had everything we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed the back yard and fire pit as well as cooking together in the kitchen. We always had everything we needed for whatever we wanted to do. It was also the perfect, relaxing spot to land after a full day of exploring San Francisco. So close to the beach and the adorable downtown HMB we found this to be the perfect spot with all the amenities we could ask for - and so much more! Thanks to Teresa, Glenn, and Lorri for helping to make our family trip so amazing!!! We can't wait to come back and stay here again.

Charming retreat in the perfect location

From the moment we walked up to the charming front entrance and were warmly greeted by Lorri we knew we were in for a relaxing retreat. The beautiful home is filled with nautical decor, vintage treasures, homey touches and tons of books (which this bibliophile was thrilled to see and read!) The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we could need and more. They even provided popcorn, hot chocolate, s'mores kit, juice, wine and a delicious chocolate cake when we arrived! Beds were all super comfy with high quality linens. The entire house was sparkling clean and they even left a caddy with extra sanitizing supplies for peace of mind. Perfect location, very quiet neighborhood less than 10 minutes from the beach and even closer to Quarry Park trails. Breakwater BBQ and Sam's Chowder House and many other restaurants close by. Get takeout and enjoy at the beach or in the spacious backyard! Amazing hosts with great communication, and Lorri, the caretaker, is so personable and welcoming! We can't wait to come back again soon for a longer stay!

Heaven on earth! Simply beautiful!

My mom, niece and I rented this beautiful home for our "3 Generations" getaway. I was sold from the pictures alone; however, upon arrival, I realized that the pictures truly don't do this home justice! The house is immaculate and well designed. You can tell a lot of love and care went into the decor/design of this home. We arrived on 7 June. Only I had seen the photos of the house. The trip was a complete surprise to my mom. She was already overcome with delight when she found out (on June 7 - I wish I could show you the video...lol) that she was headed to the Bay Area. When she entered the home, she was speechless! We were greeted by Lorri, who is an absolute jewel! She showed us the home, walking us through every room, explaining what was what, where things were, and how to operate the gadgets in the house. Her personality was a breath of fresh air. She loves what she does, she loves this house, and it shows! We were treated to a delicious cake, wines, fruit/cheese/crackers, and the absolute necessity: COFFEE! (lol). The beds were super comfortable, and the sheets were a dream...clean and crisp, yet soft to the touch. The bathrooms were amazing! The softest towels, and the most comfortable bathrobes I've ever seen! Stocked with every cooking utensil you'll need, the kitchen was paradise. We wanted for nothing in the kitchen! We also enjoyed the fire pit, which we used on our last night. We made smores, also provided by owners. What a nice touch! I'm telling you, they thought of everything! This home was just what we needed after each day of sightseeing in the Bay area. I'm so glad we didn't stay in the city. The drive home was relaxing, because we knew that the Box House was our final destination: hot showers or jacuzzi baths, followed by relaxation in the most comfortable living room, and then a peaceful and restful night's sleep in the most amazing bedrooms. We enjoyed being able to go to the beach, just a short 5 minute walk away. Great restaurants (Sam's Chowder House and the San Benito Deli are MUST-Dos!). Again, I go back to Lorri. She was just great! She's the perfect hostess! Thank you for everything, Lorri! I can't wait to come back...and I AM coming back! :-) Half Moon Bay is a perfect place to stay: quiet, nice neighbors, everything you need: supermarkets, farmers' markets, great restaurants, and awesome beaches. Take it from me: don't pass up the opportunity to stay at this lovely home.

A magical home away from home!

Everything about the Boxwood House is perfect - the breathtaking curb appeal & gorgeous lamdscaping, the beachwalk-adjacent location, the thoughtfully stocked kitchen/pantry and amenities, the beyond-charming and comfortable decor, and the heartfelt care that is so clearly invested in every detail, making this truly a magical home away from home.

Ultimate relaxation

Great property! We stayed for 2 weeks. An amazing place to relax and unwind. Feels like a little oasis tucked away in the neighborhood. House itself is expertly decorated and has everything you would need for the stay and more. The owners truly go above and beyond. Property is a short walk to the beach (<10 mins) and a few good restaurants (15-30 mins). Bikes are provided and there is easy access to miles of beautiful coastline trails.

Nice House

Nice spacious house in a good quiet location within easy walking distance of beach. Well equipped with a lot of attention to detail - eg rugs provided so you can sit outside in the evening. Owner and manager were responsive to queries/issues. Driveway is not flat - our car (Nissan Altima) kept grounding on the drive but you can park on the street. SUV should be OK

Beautifully well presented house

Have just spent a week in Teresa's beautiful home. Wow, what a place. The attention to detail and furnishings were fantastic - my daughter said it was the most comfortable bed she has ever slept in !! Opportunities to have cosy log fires inside and out, and everything you want in a kitchen. The use of their bikes for the (flat) coastal path was also a great touch. You are personally greeted upon check in by a lovely lady called Lorri who took us around the property and was an appreciated touch. Couldn't recommend this place more.

Lovely stay

We had a wonderful time here. The house is in a perfect location to explore the area and has everything you need to enjoy the beach nearby. We especially enjoyed going on bike rides along the coastal trail and to get to local restaurants, and the easy walking access to a nearby forest trail. My son did surf camp during our stay here and it turned out that the meet up for camp was just dowh the road from us. Perfect week!

Peaceful retreat

We loved staying at Teresa and Glenn's beautiful beachouse. The house was immaculate, very well stocked and incredibly comfortable. Close access to beaches, trails, stores was so convenient. Staying there rather than the city really felt like a vacation, it was very relaxing. The owners were very responsive and we enjoyed the delicious wine and muffins they kindly left for us. A special mention to Lorri who greeted us, her kindness and generosity truly touched our hearts and made our stay even more special. It was a perfect stay!

I can not say enough about the house, Teresa and Glen and of course Lori! Great coastside stay

The house is in a nice neighborhood a couple blocks from the beach/harbor. Nicely decorated and very pleasant. We visited the coastside and did San Francisco a couple days (only 30 min drive). Communication and setup was great.

Another outstanding stay

My family and I have stayed at this property several times and have been pleased every time. The house is very comfortable and the owners have thought of everything to make guest feel at home from binoculars for bird watching to supplies for s’mores. We look forward to staying again soon!

Our family loves to travel! Being a first generation American and fortunate enough to bring our sons to my mothers Greek island of Zakynthos, and exploring beaches all over the world, we are always happy to return to the beautiful beaches and countryside that is Half Moon Bay.

This property is set up exactly the way we would want to find a property when we travel. We have given this a lot of thought and touched on just about everything one could want while on vacation. Ironed sheets, fluffy towels, lush bathrobes, fully stocked kitchen, commercial washer and dryer, current magazines, (Teresa's addiction), books, games, movies, music, wine, cheese, coffee and cake!
