The property is amazing! Close walk to the harbor and the shore. Great place to unwind and relax. Owners were quickly available to answer questions. Highly recommend
I have stayed twice at this property and both times perfect! In fact my family is planning to book next year as a holiday let when they visit from England. The neighborhood is friendly and walkable with lovely sea views. I would highly recommend this property as a relaxing getaway.
This place is just right ! Hesitant about telling you about all the cool things going on with this property - cause it will always be booked and we want to go back !
Owners are cool

Easy walk to town
The cottage was perfect. I walked to the lighthouse every morning to see sunrise and biked to town every afternoon for lunch. What a magical place. Thank you
The cottage is located on a point with a lighthouse in a very active beach town. Walkable to several beaches and the downtown restaurants and shops. Hosts live next door. Didn’t intrude but were available for questions. Very nice people!
I had a great week staying here for my vacation. The furniture was cozy, the natural light at the front of the house was great, the ocean breeze kept the worst of the heat away for most of the week, and the bed was big and comfy. The owners live closeby and were very responsive to questions and requests for help. The house is a very short walk to the rocky shoreline where the lighthouse stands. It was also a remarkably quiet area for being so close to beaches. Overall; a bright, clean, and cozy summer getaway. Highly recommended!
We enjoyed our stay very much. Extremely comfortable Cottage with lots of nice amenities. We picked this Cottage because it was Pet friendly. A dog bowl and a gate to keep our dog safely on the porch were even provided! There is a ramp into the Cottage, which is terrific for an older pet. Morning walks to Scituate lighthouse are a favorite memory! We want to start house hunting in Scituate based on this beautiful vacation; such a charming community!
When a local builder did not deliver my home on time, I needed a place to stay to be onsite everyday. This lovely one bedroom cottage was the answer. Cozy and comfortable. With the full kitchen and stove I had the option to make my own meals or enjoy many of the local restaurants!
We thought the stay was just the right size for us. Having never experienced Boston before, we wanted the freedom of coming and going as we pleased using a rental car. This stay was the center point of everything we wanted to do and go. We visited Boston, Salem, Plymouth, and Rhode Island. The downside was the lighthouse in the picture was being renovated, so we couldn't go inside, but we did get a lot of nice sunset pictures. The town of Scituate along this stay and the neighbor was very clean and the neighbors were friendly. If you want to have a rental car for your travels in Massachusetts, this is a nice and quiet stay.

Nice location but In need of repair and cleaning
We were shocked after reading everyone’s reviews that the cottage was very clean. When we arrived we had to sweep, mop, clean dishes, the fridge and whip down the bathroom. When taking a shower it fills with water and also found after staying the first night the sheets on one of the beds was dirty so thankfully there were sheets in the closet to change it. We do agree with the other reviews the owners are very nice and when she came out to meet us and asked how everything was I told her we had to do all that cleaning and she apologized but didn’t do anything to remedy it. In reading the welcome and checkout list that was on the table (coffee stained and notes written on the back of the paper) when checking out you are to strip the beds, sweep and whip everything down - the previous guests did NOT do that but ultimately should have been taken care of by the owner before new guests arrived. The location is beautiful and the neighbors we passed while out for walks were all extremely nice. The property is just in need of repairs and a deep cleaning. Will not be staying here again.

I don't know why you didn't tell me about your issues, I'm literally 40 feet away. The only communication you sent was a text when you left, saying, " Thanks, you have a great spot here!"
I don't promise anything in my listing that I don't deliver: it's a cottage, one of the original Cedar Point cottages. 99% of my guests appreciate this, I guess you're part of the 1%.
PS: it's "wipe" not "whip" :)
We enjoyed our stay in this cottage on Cedar Point in Scituate. It was quant and comfortable with a great location near the lighthouse. Our host was friendly, helpful, and responsive to our needs. We highly recommend it.
This was a comfortable, cozy cottage that was perfect for my stay in Scituate while visiting with family and friends. Diane is friendly and accommodating. She lives behind this property and was available to answer questions and also respected our privacy. The cottage was a good size for us, and was just a few houses from the Scituate Lighthouse and jetty. We were up each morning watching the beautiful sunrise. Thank you to our host for helping to make this visit relaxing and fun.
It was the perfect retreat for my mother and me. We took long walks around the lighthouse and enjoyed the proximity to the harbor.
The house was the perfect seaside cottage. Just perfect. Thank you so much Diane!
This little cottage is everything you need and then some! There is a beach within very close walking distance, a jetty to walk and fish, a quaint New England lighthouse and a perfect harbor to either watch boats or kayak if you so desire! On top of that, the cottage has a very comfortable bed, two pull out couches, and all the kitchen amenities you'd want. It is a perfect place to disconnect and relax...the only drawback is that the internet is very good so you might feel obligated to check your email now and again! The hosts are really nice, super responsive and respectful of your privacy. If you are looking for a cute, cozy place this is just right!
We had an amazing two weeks at this charming cottage, which is just steps to the lighthouse and a short walk to the shops and restaurants of Scituate Harbor. Diane and Gerry were gracious and accommodating hosts, and we will certainly be returning!
This property was amazing value and in a great location. Diane and Jerry are the nicest hosts and were never intrusive but always available when needed. The space is detached from their main home and a large enough space so that my partner and I could both work during the weekdays without being in each other's way. It was so nice to walk the dog to the lighthouse in the mornings and walk to the neighborhood beach on the weekends. I can't recommend this place enough! Scituate itself is the perfect balance between coastal town with a vacation feel without the crowds of the cape.
We stayed at this property for 5 nights with two of our kids and it was wonderful! We had plenty of space and a perfect location. We were also there on a hot week so we really appreciated the air conditioning units. Diane is a great property manager - always quick to respond and readily available if you need something. We would definitely stay here again!
I wish we could have stayed longer! I visited for a few nights, just me and my dog, and the cottage was absolutely perfect. Upon arrival, it was bright and clean and welcoming. The kitchen has everything you might need to cook (I got takeout from local seafood restaurants half the time, cooked the rest). The bed was very comfortable, and I slept wonderfully. We walked down to the lighthouse (only a few doors!) each morning and evening to watch the sunrise and sunset. There's also a beach by the harbor nearby where I took my dog swimming each day. It's easily walkable from the house unless you're an arthritic 12 year old retriever, but there is parking next to it if need be.
Diane is such a kind host! In a hurry to go take photos of the supermoon (huge and pink!) over the water, I locked myself out on evening, and she responded immediately to my panicked text.
I'm in the middle of studying for my boards, so I was very glad to have solid internet access while there, and I must admit that as someone who does own a tv, I was rather fascinated by the whole Roku thing and probably watched more television than I should have! But, studying, reading, or watching tv, the cottage was a wonderful place to lounge on the sofa after our walks, quiet and peaceful. I really hope to go back soon!
As I said, my dog is older and so I'd asked Diane beforehand about accessibility (he can't climb stairs). So, in case anyone is wondering about that, the cottage is pretty accessible to someone with mobility issues. There's only one step up from the porch to the cottage and one step from the hallway down into the bedroom.
So thank you so much, Diane, for letting me and Henry come visit! It's such a beautiful place, and I really appreciate being about to bring my big baby with me!
