Lovely property with excellent lighting! Great for two adults or small family. Helpful, considerate and generous property owners. We had a lovely stay a I was there for botanical art workshops in Chester NS.
One of the best stays we have had. The hosts were kind and helpful. The location is great and the house was clean, organized and stocked with everything we needed.
This property was absolutely fantastic for my wife and I and our two year old dog. The home watery well equipped and the decor and interior was spot on. The grounds were amazing and very well kept and private. In terms of location we were a two minute drive to the waterfront in Chester.
Bill and Sandy were awesome hosts and we will make it a point to be back again.
The tiny house was immaculate and welcoming. The check in was easy and the hosts were very friendly and accommodating.
The location is very close to centre of Chester and everything was accessible. Highly recommend
The tiny home was immaculate and had everything we needed. Home owners were helpful and kind. Great location for day trips and a beautifully maintained property. Our family of 4 had a great time and hope to go back!
What an amazing experience we had here! Great location - while not on the water, it was close to many desirable spots (Peggy's Cove, Mahone Bay, Lunenburg) and on a nice quiet, peaceful road. The tiny house was impeccably designed and decorated and had absolutely everything we could have needed. Our kids greatly enjoyed the accomodations - the two lofts were the perfect spot for them to relax at the end of a busy day of being tourists! Great communication with the owners.
We loved our stay in this tiny house! It’s even cuter in person, and the garden is beautiful and immaculately maintained! Bill and Sandy are fantastic hosts who have included every possible comfort in their short term rental. We hope to be back!
We stayed at Serenity Cottage for a week. The tiny house is not so tiny and has everything you could possibly need for your stay. Sandy Bill are the ultimate hosts. The location is fantastic for day trips to Halifax, Annapolis Valley, Bay of Fundy and the many small villages along the Southern Shores of Nova Scotia. This vacation does deserve its exceptional rating. Thank you Sandy and Bill!
Loved this property, from the lovely front porch to the screened in back porch, and lovely manicured lawn and gardens. Wonderful chef's kitchen. Our hosts were helpful and accommodating. We had a very comfortable and pleasant stay.
My son and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We didn't want to leave after our two-night stay.
We received a very warm welcome from our gracious hosts Sandy and Bill.
The tiny house, located on a beautiful property, is real gem. We hope to be back some day!

Bill and Sandy are amazing hosts! The tiny home is accumulate and aesthetically beautiful. It is so well thought out, beautifully decorated, comfy beds, and all you could ask for in a home away from home. The grounds are perfect to enjoy during the day and at night. Thank you Bill and Sandy for your thoughtfulness and kindness. We had a wonderful vacation!
We loved everything about our stay in the Tiny House (not so tiny!) Very cool place with every inch of this property carefully and thoughtfully built, along with the modern, beautiful decor. Well equiped kitchen with nothing overlooked. The grounds, the gardens, the little fur friends we met made our stay most memorable! And the hosts, well you will not get better hospitality anywhere! Many, many thanks to Bill and Sandy. We appreciated evrything you offered to us during our stay; it was one of the best we've ever experienced! Till next time ...
We had an awesome time here, despite sharing it with Hurricane Lee. Our hosts, Sandy & Bill, made sure we were safe and that we had power throughout the storm. The house itself was pristine and met all of our needs and more. The hosts were fabulous people and we shared a fun bonfire evening with them plus many enjoyable conversations.

Wonderful house with everything I needed and great hosts!
The hosts were wonderful and shared their knowledge of local farmers markets and a little-known beach that was the prettiest one I’ve seen in Nova Scotia. They invited me to take veggies and herbs out of their vegetable garden. It was a thoroughly enjoyable stay and I expect I’ll be back again sometime.
Absolutely amazing property! The pictures do not do it justice. It is far larger than it appears and is beautifully crafted and well appointed. It is well situated to explore the south shore and is delightful to just hang out in. The hosts are very helpful and readily accessible. A total winner!!
My wife and I loved our stay; the ‘tiny house’ was wonderful; lots of room, cozy, welcoming, and tastefully decorated. It has a small wood stove that creates a very peaceful romantic space where you can be quiet with your thoughts and enjoy the peaceful sound of a crackling fire with your loved one . At same time, the accommodation has everything needed, and Bill and Sandra were helpful and welcoming at all times. Property is beautifully manicured and is in one of the most beautiful locations in Nova Scotia; the only complaint, is we wish we had stayed longer. Thankyou for a memorable stay, will be back!

About the host

We are retired full time in beautiful Chester with a life long passion for the outdoors and the outstanding beauty around us. We have spent many years designing and constructing homes (too many to mention), gardening and landscaping, and homesteading on a smaller scale. We built our final retirement home 13 years ago and named it "Serenity" due to the outstanding beauty that surrounds us and the relaxed setting we encounter as soon as we enter the property. Sandy loves her heritage breed chickens and vegetable gardens while Bill maintains the shrubbery, mows the grass and plays golf as often as allowed. We cherish our sunrise front porch coffee, walking our dog Gracie, riding our electric bikes(with Gracie on back) and ocean Kayaking(with Gracie on board) in our wonderful oceanside community. We thought we would throw our life of construction experience into designing and building this luxury 40 foot long by 10.75 foot wide "not so tiny" house and we are delighted with the outcome.
