About this property

Exceptional apartment; stylishly renovated, extremely bright

The Space:
Spacious two room apartment with loft-like great room that includes a living area, work area and eat-in kitchen. The bedroom contains an additional work space with a full desk. The apartment has full Air Conditioning in addition to ceiling fans.
It has three exposures and large screened windows.
There is a bathroom and a separate rest room. The apartment is exceptionally bright, private and overlooks a little park and a lovely green street. It's located on the second floor of a three-story building, recently renovated, with a security door and a landscaped garden.

Fully furnished, eat-in kitchen, with full-size fridge, dishwasher, range and a combination microwave/grill oven. There's a washer and dryer, HD TV, wi-fi, and a printer/scanner

The Neighborhood:
Known as the 'Quiet North' ('Hatzafon Hashaket') is one of Tel Aviv's most desirable. It's quiet enough to give you a reprieve from 'the city that never sleeps', but within walking distance of the chic cafes and on Yehuda Hamaccabi and Ibn Gabirol Sts. HaYarkon Park is 5 minutes walk away and perfect for biking, running and walking.

Getting around:
The #5 'sherut' (minibus/shared taxi) passes right by the apartment, getting you to central Tel Aviv, as do the many bus lines that use the same stop.

Peaceful Environment, Super-convenient Location

We spent three months in the flat near Yehuda haMaccabi Street. The photographs accurately depict the apartment, which is full of light and appointed with clean, simple appurtenances. The main seating area (with the sofa and television) is next to a large wall of windows that open onto a view of tree- and roof-tops. Set away from the main street, the apartment is a serene respite from Tel Aviv's hustle and bustle. But it is amazing convenient, especially with regard to transportation. Along Yehuda haMaccabi Street itself run at least five bus lines that go pretty much everywhere one needs to go: south, to Tel Aviv's center and beyond, including Yafo, the Central Bus Station, or the Carmel Market; or north, to the University, to Azorei Chen, and all along the Yarkon Park. With a short walk to Dereh Namir, one could hop on a bus directly to any location in the north of Israel. By foot, the apartment was only a few minutes to the Yarkon River park, which includes pedestrian and bicycle/scooter paths and boating for recreation. The apartment was also just steps away from Milano Square, with its 24/7 cafe culture. Slightly further is the Tel Aviv Port and the sea-side recreation zone, and so every evening we walked the 15 minutes to watch the sun set over the Mediterranean. So: location, location, location. With regard to the apartment itself, we were comfortable there as a couple used to Israeli finishes. There was plenty of hot water from the solar tank, but had to use the boiler when the weather turned grey and rainy for more than a couple of days. Our teenage son visited for a week, and so he slept on the sofa; generally, the place is fine for a single person or a couple, but any more than that would be hard to accommodate. We cooked extensively in the kitchen. The gas range was a nice amenity, but there is only a small electric oven for baking/cooking. (Of course, there is also a microwave for reheating.) The supplied utensils were sufficient for our needs. Minor maintenance glitches were quickly addressed by the owners and their designated on-location contact. So: if you want to stay in Tel Aviv, enjoy a bit of quiet, but have access to all the city's excitement just a short distance away, I can recommend this apartment enthusiastically.

EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE

RON greeted us with a friendly helpful attitude...After handing us our keys for our month stay in the Kessler’s apartment he proceeded to help us with the luggage. A very good start to a wonderful experience in Tel Aviv. The apartment is bright, quiet and clean. It is situated in an extremely delightful neighborhood...Close to every connivence and a hub of transportation. We highly recommend this dwelling...

Beautiful apartment, great location!

The apartment is spacious, clean, modern, and well kept. It is on a quiet street and has nice, open views. It includes all the amenities one could want, and an impressive collection of books; I would’ve been happy to stay longer! The owners are responsive and helpful, I definitely recommend this place!

The Kessler Apartment in Kikar Milano

My wife and I occupied the Kessler apartment in the Kikar Milano neighborhood, for a month. The apartment is well furnished, has a nice layout, is full of ambient light in a quiet building. Ron is an amazing neighbor and a real asset especially in the first few days getting settled. The apartment is very well located, with easy access to main bus lines, handy neighborhood shopping, the Yarkon River and Park are 5 minutes away and the Port is an easy 20 minute walk. We highly recommend this apartment.

Clean, Bright, Comfortable. Its a Great Spot.

Spent two weeks in mid winter, and with the wide picture windows and views of open sky and greenery, it felt like an ongoing spring day. The apartment is located just behind Milano Square's cafe's in a very accessible but quiet neighborhood. Yarkon Park, Ibn Gavirol St., Nordau Boulevard and the Old Port were all within reach. It was a pleasure to come "home" to after a day out in the city. The kitchen was clean and open, with everything I needed to help offset eating out all the time. Bathroom set up was also clean, with plenty of hot water for showering. (A personal measure of a good apt!) Even though I didn't need to, I always felt like Dave and Ruth were easily reached if necessary. Moreover, their neighbor, Ron, was helpful in making sure I was covered for a late night arrival and departure, not to mention anything else that may have come up. Overall, it was a great place, open and airy. Perfect for my stay (traveling alone) or a couple.

Why they chose this property

We've had this apartment in our family since the 1950s. It holds deep sentimental value for us, and we've invested a tremendous amount of time, energy and work into its renovation and upkeep.
