"Cambridge Cottage" is the perfect location for your Cape May Point get away. Come and see why Cape May Point is the county's best kept secret. Less crowded and noisy than the city, it is a quick walk to beautiful ocean beaches, bike riding, nature trails and it has a park and lake down the street. It is peaceful, with little traffic and very walkable.A couple of blocks away is the new Cape May Point Science Center housed in the historic St Mary's and offering interesting programs from all ages.

The cottage retains it's original classic 1940s charm with all the modern amenities to make your stay comfortable and relaxing- central A/C, ceiling fans, fully heated for colder days, high speed internet, brand new 40" smart tv with cable channels, open kitchen/dining room with newer appliances, new sectional and sofa, there is 1 walk in indoor shower and a second large outdoor shower with attached changing area (hot and cold water), BBQ and outdoor table are right outside the kitchen which makes outdoor meals convenient.

You have your own private house and backyard that is all yours and not shared with another unit. It is light and airy and provides everything for a comfortable, enjoyable vacation. The cottage has a driveway that provides off street parking for 3 cars and there is additional street parking, if needed.

A master with queen bed, a second bedroom with a full and a third bedroom with a bunk bed. There is a large bathroom with a double sink, shower and toilet. The second bathroom has a toilet, sink and washer and dryer. Board games and cards for indoor fun. Beach umbrella, chairs and 6 beach tags are provided for your stay.

Great, central location- a few blocks walk in either direction brings you to beautiful beaches and sunsets, village green/park area, bird sanctuary, lighthouse and Lake Lilly. Cape May Point is known for it's spectacular sunsets, spacious beaches and excellent viewing of birds and monarch butterflies. It is truly a nature lover's paradise.

Start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Sweep or vacuum excess dirt, make beds, empty refrigerator, take garbage to the outside can, run dishwasher, clean oven or bbq if you used it and put cover back on.
Return keys and beach tags to the basket.
Leave house neat and clean. Hit Schlage once to lock back door.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
6 beach tags are provided. Please leave them in the kitchen basket upon checkout. $100 charge for each lost tag.
Please no pets, loud parties, smoking, vaping, black out curtains or modifying the cottage or yard in any way. Leave it neat and clean as you leave.
No cooking fish or storing fish indoors. Fish can be cooked on the gas grill. No meat smokers. Please clean after using and cover after it cools off

Perfectly located small cottage / house just blocks from the beach. Had the best of times staying at The Point. Just amazing sitting on front porch in the morning having coffee and saying hi to everyone walking by with their dogs. House is well equipped, has great AC. We've stayed in Cape May proper before and this is quieter and more relaxing. Beach is perfect and relaxing. Cannot wait to go back

April getaway

Everything was just as expected and perfect for an April bird watching, vineyard visiting and relaxing getaway. We are eager to return during the warmer summer to enjoy the beach more. The house is sweet and well supplied with all needed for a comfortable stay - loads of walkable trails nearby

We had a wonderful week at the Cambridge Cottage located on bucolic Cape May Point. The property has the architectural charm of the cottage with the bonus of modern conveniences. The kitchen was very well equipped and had everything we needed. The living room and bedrooms were very comfortable. There is a great backyard with an outdoor shower which was great for rinsing off after a day at the beach! Sarah was a very responsive host and I would definitely return to Cambridge Cottage in the future.

Great Stay at the Cambridge Cottage

My family had a wonderful stay at the Cambridge Cottage. The property was clean, in a great location. The backyard's tucked-away outdoor shower is worth the stay alone! Sarah was a great communicator and the check-in/check-out process was very straightforward. We'd certainly stay there again.

Refreshing, Comfortable, and Clean Cottage for 3 Adults

Really liked the layout of the cottage as-well-as the long dining table where we played games. Beach umbrella came in handy on sunny days. Very close to the State Park and beach, and not too far from the town. Neighborhood is a nice area for a walk. Communication with Sarah was great!

Great location

Overall, the property worked nicely for my family of 4 (including 2 adult children). However, the outdoor space was not very usable and, if we had more people, the one indoor shower would have been a problem. The Cape May Point beach was lovely!

Magical Cambridge Cottage in Cape May Point!

The Cambridge Cottage has been our home away from home for multiple years now. It is our favorite place to stay, and we look forward to returning every year! Sarah is a wonderful and super responsive host. The Cottage is in an unbeatable location close to the beach, Lake Lily, and the Lighthouse! The Cottage has a wonderful outdoor space, and is super welcoming and comfortable. Plenty of space to spend nights together as a family. House is clean and tidy and stocked with books and games to enjoy. We look forward to many more years at the Cambridge Cottage!

Perfect for a small group and close to beach

This house was perfect for my husband, infant son, and my parents. It was a quick 5 min walk to a quiet, local beach, perfect for toddlers. They provided the beach passes. The town is very safe to ride bikes or go for walks, and stores are only a 10 minute drive away. The owner was very clear with directions and provided contact free entry and check out. The house was clean and tidy. I highly recommend them.

Great location for bird watching!

House was nice, location was fantastic. Parents stayed in October for birdwatching. House was pretty spare. We had to bring our own linens including towels, sheets and even pillows. After a stop at Walmart for pillows (didn't see that mentioned until the check in email which came after we had left home), the house did everything it said it would. Nice home, just make sure to bring your own pillows to avoid an extra trip.

Small but cute

Great location. Cute tiny house and I like that it came with beach badges and chairs. The owner is quick to reply to any questions and made the rental process easy. The bunk bedroom is extremely small and only suitable for young children, and the indoor stall shower is also very small so you can't help a young child that needs help bathing, so you have to use the outdoor shower. The price is comparatively high but we were looking for somewhere less than a month before our trip so we were really happy that there was a way for us to stay in our favorite vacation town.

Clean, small, well located

The host was very responsive and answered all our questions. The cottage was clean as a whistle. The kitchen had new and working appliances. The location is great - near Lilly Lake, the beach and in a quiet neighborhood. Our only quibble is with the advertisement of bedrooms - i.e. that it sleeps 6. The master bedroom with a Queen is fine for two people. The second bedroom is very small, with sloping roof which you have to watch out for, and a double bed, which is really difficult for two adults to sleep in. The bunk bed room is extremally small. So if you're coming with a number of people be forewarned. Otherwise a great place!

Very nice house in nice quiet neighborhood, 6 min to beach

We really enjoyed our stay here in Sept. Clean, comfortable older cottage on a very quiet street, pleasant walk to the beach and to the Lighthouse and hawk-watch platform. The LR is bigger than it looks in the photo,, the dining rm is also a good size. Excellent and quiet AC (it was warm in Sept but we weren't there in August so can't vouch for that). Clean bathroom and powder room, outside shower with hot water too, beach chairs provided. Drawbacks are minor: the kitchen pots/pans were adequate, not more, and the beds are double size, ok comfort level. The backyard could use a patio or deck, but there is a good table and BBQ.. The knives were excellent, much better than most rentals, and steel included. Sarah was very easy to work with, and rapidly responded to our few questions, and had good advice for what to do, and restaurants. We would certainly stay in this area again, and can recommend the cottage.

The house was clean and neat. It was small but adequate for 4 adults. Cookware and plates were plenty. They could use a new drip coffee maker (lid didn't close right). Beds were very comfortable and cozy. (Except for my adult son having to sleep in the bunk, but only for 3 nights so he toughed it out). The cottage could use some better lighting for reading in bed and perhaps a comfortable sleeper couch for an additional adult bed. The location was perfect for us looking to unwind, very quiet. We were close to the lighthouse and the State Park and we love to hike so that was nice. We even heard the ocean one night due to some rough surf from an ocean hurricane. The owners are very nice and responsive. All in all, we really enjoyed our week at Cambridge cottage.

Perfect July 4th week!

The house was comfortable and we had everything we needed for a fabulous beach week. We loved the easy walk to the beach and all beach gear provided… access to nearby running and walking nature trails… short jaunt to Sunset beach, the Lighthouse and park, wineries, and incredible restaurants. The weather was perfect as were our accommodations!

Cousins trip

Cambridge Cottage is very comfortable, clean, and close to everything as advertised. The owner is readily available for questions. Loved the quiet walkable neighborhood with 5 minutes walk to Lake Lily, the ocean with many access areas, and Cape May Lighthouse.

Comfortable Quiet Cottage Near the Sea

We stayed six nights the week after Labor Day. The cottage was ideally located about a 3 minute walk to the uncrowded Cape May Point beach, and about a 4 minute walk to the lighthouse/Cape May State Park walking trails. It's a beautiful neighborhood for cycling and a short ride to the cafe and shops at Sunset Beach. The cottage has generous living room and dining room seating. The kitchen is well equipped. We appreciated the double sink in the upstairs bathroom and the comfortable queen bed in the primary bedroom. The outdoor enclosed shower was a welcome option when returning from the beach. Sarah our host, was friendly and responded immediately to the questions that we asked. I would book here again.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with this cottage because it had been recently renovated, but still retained the charm of the original cottage. It was a place you could kick back and feel relaxed. We have tried to maintain the charm from the 1940s, such as its original windows, siding, wood flooring and antique door knobs.

What makes this property unique

Beautiful original charm throughout the home and a peaceful backyard where you can enjoy seeing the occasional bunny, turtle, or butterfly. The central location is also wonderful as you can walk anywhere in Cape May Point.
