A gem of a place! The view of the lake is so incredibly beautiful and peaceful. My husband and I enjoyed it both from the fire pit seats and down on the private dock. We also went out for a quiet ride around the lake in the canoe that is provided. The cabin is cozy and well kept. We will treasure our time here and the memories that were made!

We had a nice stay. Really nice to be close to boat launch. Beautiful view. Super hot during our stay, so certain amenities we did not take advantage of like fire pit.

Since discovering this lovely property, we try to return twice yearly. It is so very, very peaceful. The SE part of Minnesota is by far my favorite part of the state and this specific area in particular. It is my happy place! We love this property, it is perfect for my husband and myself. The hosts are pleasant and responsive, the backyard area and deck are especially lovely, and the kitchen is well appointed.

It was a wonderful and peaceful stay! We were there for a weeks long visit to Mayo and the location was perfect! Easy drive to Mayo and easy drive to MSP for day trips. Sunrise was beautiful!

This is a favorite place for my husband and me to revisit. We love this area of southeastern Minnesota. The hosts are always quick to communicate and are very kind and accommodating. The lake home is cozy, well appointed and in such a lovely, quiet area — plus not a far drive from our home. We have already booked our next stay!

My wife and I enjoyed a nice, quiet getaway to Southeastern Minnesota, spending time in various towns, including Northfield and Red Wing. For area dining, Loon Liquors Distillery & Pizzeria (Northfield) and Scarlet Kitchen & Bar (Red Wing) are always musts when we visit the region. We also enjoyed leaf peeping while hiking in nearby Nerstrand Big Woods State Park and Frontenac State Park over the weekend. Nerstrand's color, in particular, was quite lovely. We hiked roughly 15 miles between the two parks. The home itself featured one of our favorite fire pit seating areas we've ever encountered as it overlooked scenic Lake Byllesby. Stunning sunsets, bald eagles soaring, and ample color along the shoreline. The kitchen and bathroom were both well-stocked. The home also had enough firewood for two small fires on back-to-back nights. I only wish the home was bigger (only two bedrooms). Otherwise, I'd have to book it for our annual July 4th multi-family gathering. It's perfect for 2-4 people, however!

This was our 3rd visit to this very nice home on the lake with beautiful sunrise views. Our stay was quiet and relaxing. We always seem to come off season so unable to play in the lake. Easy to get in touch with the owners if need be. Check-in and check-out were very easy. Will return.

Overall, we enjoyed our 3-night stay at this property. It was clean and comfortable. The host communicated with me very well prior to our visit. The lake setting was peaceful and quiet. Since we were bicycling, sightseeing, and visiting neighboring towns most of the time, we did not end up using many of the features that the home provided. Such as the patio, fire pit, bbq grills, canoe, kayak, and pedal boat. The kitchen was well equipped, the bathrooms were clean and there were plenty of towels to use. There were two bedrooms but, we used only one. The bed was comfortable but, the pillows were a little too firm for us. Which caused my wife to develop a really sore neck after our 3-night stay. You may want to consider bringing your own pillows. The home also has a nice, in-home laundry area and a garage where the canoe, kayak, and pedal boat are stored. You will need to carry those items down a small hill to get to the dock on the lake. Overall, the area is beautiful and the sunsets and sunrises are wonderful.

Great cabin on the lake!

Dawn and Mike did a great job supplying everything we needed for our stay. The cool/fun decor of the cabin fits the lake and the area. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay on the lake!
