Come and enjoy a taste of authentic Tuscan country life in stunning settings, amidst olive groves and vineyards tendered by a most hospitable family who run this organic farm and live in your hosts’ homestead or in newly refurbished independent apartment. Podere La Fonte is ancient and stone built, situated in a most spectacular position just below the ancient castellated village of Radicondoli. It has magnificent uninterrupted views over the Cecina valley and the surrounding hills. At night you can see the lights of Volterra, San Gimignano, Colle Val D'Elsa and many other villages nestling in the hills all around you. Florence is one hour away and Siena, Volterra and San Gimignano just forty minutes by road. A short walk away is the village of Radicondoli. A perfectly preserved medieval village with good restaurants, pizzerias and bars. There are shops selling local produce, a bakery for fresh bread each morning. Your hosts await welcome and to share with you a drop of their wine!

Radicondoli is a small, picturesque town which also has everything needed to be a holiday base. Within easy walking distance of the accommodation there are three excellent restaurants, a small supermarket and other shops. Viewed from the accommodation are typical Tuscan rolling hills with distant views of San Gimigniano and Volterra.We are available to meet your needs and to advise you as to how best to enjoy your time here. However, we also respect your privacy and won't intrude.
We also offer cooking classes using our range of organic produce to prepare authentic Italian vegetarian dishes. We have a little store where you may wish to purchase some of our organic produce including wine, oil, jam, salsas, fruit juices, herbs and seasonal fruit and vegetables.
"La Fonte" is a typical Tuscan romantic stone country house nestled beneath the hilltop village of Radicondoli. It is a beautiful natural environment where it's still possible to hear the sound of sheep bells.
The accommodation is very comfortable and well equipped. There are several outdoor tables and chairs where one can enjoy a meal and a glass of wine while watching the stunning sunset behind the rolling hills ... here you can appreciate the calmness and serenity of life beyond the rat race. While enjoying this peace, there are many opportunities to engage with the wonderful attractions of the area.
Apart from the charming village of Randicondoli, there are many beautiful, historic towns and villages in the vicinity. For instance, Siena, San Gimigniano, Volterra, Lucca, Firenze as well as the magnificent Mediterranean coast are all within about an hour's drive.Lovely local walks and natural pools in the nearby river Cecina. There are swimming pools within easy reach and in an hour you can drive to and enjoy sandy beaches just like the ancient Etruscan people did.
