Reno and Jenelle met in Northern California on a blind date and have been together ever since. We lived in Georgia and Texas for a few years, but returned to our California home and raised our family there.
Why they chose this property
One of our long term goals was to own a vacation property. When the time was right, our connection to Hawaii made that the place to search. We looked on the big island of Hawaii, then on Maui. We started with Kihei (south Maui) but then refocused or search on West Maui. We were getting close! We looked at several properties and just happened to find Papakea. As soon as we walked on the property, we felt it was the place for us. The ocean front location, lush landscaping and tidy buildings provided the feel we were looking for without the hustle and bustle of huge resort. Our search was over!
