River Frontage Cottage is located on 115 Acres

This private cabin is located on 115 acres of riverfront property and is set off about 100' from the main house. It is furnished with one double bed, a set of bunk beds, a crib and two queen beds, a day bed, television, CD player/Stereo and chair. The smaller bedroom contains the twin-size bunkbeds and there is a double bed and twin size day bed in the second bedroom. This second bedroom also acts as the common room with TV and stereo in this room. The Master bedroom has 2 queen size beds with an adjoining full Bathroom. The other Bathroom has a spacious tiled shower with built in bench. Internet is also available.

The cabin has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, stove, dishwasher, clothes washer and dryer, and all untensils and appliances. The den/bedroom has the tv along with a DVD player, stereo and crib.There is also a small 16' pool that is filled for summer months to cool off in.

You have access to the San Antonio River, which is great for camping, hiking, or fishing. This is a site of some old Indian battles and arrowheads and other artifacts can still be found. Also has a dirt bike trail over two miles long which is fun for motorcycles, mountain bikes, and quads. There is a large 10 foot by 20 foot attached covered deck with room to stretch out and enjoy the breeze and great country view. Kids love to camp out on this great deck. There is also a cement patio with a table and chairs in front of the cottage and a smoker that can be used to barbecue. Mesquite wood always available for use.
Although located in the country, you are only about 15-20 minutes away from Downtown (River Walk, The Alamo, SBC Center, Alamodome and more). You are 30 minutes away from Sea World or Fiesta Texas.Lackland AFB is conveniently located about 20 minutes away for those of you attending Air Force basic training graduations. There are many golf courses in the area, one is only ten minutes away!

We are pet friendly. We charge $30 PER pet per stay.

The cabin was very clean, inviting, and comfortable. The property was quiet and beautiful. My family had a great time, from walking down to the river and taking in the serenity, to barbecuing, taking an evening dip in the pool, and playing games with friends, it just made of an incredible experience away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We can’t help but to thank Jack for his hospitality and his wonderful property that you can tell he takes great pride in and would greatly recommend to anyone looking for that quiet place you could get away to!

The cabin was tucked away and felt really safe. Accommodations were fit for large families and the owner was very friendly. There was a pool outside and the inside was very clean. There were appliances ready for use and a nice back porch. I'd be happy living there.

Amazing property!

Beautiful property, comfortable cabin. Kitchen was well equipped complete with washer and dryer. Everything was clean and well kept and the owner was responsive and friendly. We wanted for nothing while we were there. Will definitely be staying there again!

It wasn't what I expected

In the description and photos it indicated that there was a pool and jacuzzi and there was no pool and he did not want to lend the jacuzzi, the gentleman was attentive but he was watching us the whole time. We went to the store and he thought there were more people so he left angry, I had reserved 2 nights and we could only stay one day, it was uncomfortable, the only good thing is that nature is beautiful, and everything is clean but I don't think I'll go back

This was an awesome place with great host! I loved every minute of it and will definitely be back.

I spent almost 2 months here due to working nearby. This place was awesome with a great host. Very clean and quiet. I would spend most afternoons cooking at the pits, riding the trails on by side by side, fishing, or shooting guns at the gun range. I will differently return and bring the family. 5 stars for this one! Loved every minute of it.

Had a great time!

We were in the area for our sons Air Force graduation! He loved getting out of the "city" for a few hours each day we were there. We definitely enjoyed our time. Our youngest loved the pool. The owner was a very kind man. He made us feel comfortable, and he was easy to talk to! Definitely would stay here again when in the area. The kitchen was awesome, I got to cook my graduate some home cooked meals which was nice! Thank you for everything!

Peaceful out of the way, but just close enough to the city.

My husband and I needed a place to stay while we tended to business in San Antonio for a week and attended a First Birthday for our grandson. We ended up with extra guest at the cabin besides the two of us for a couple of nights. Jack was more than gracious to accommodate. The cabin is clean, peaceful and far enough away from the city to relax you. The property is amazing, we did a little arrowhead hunting with no luck, but it was good to be outdoors. We will definitley stay again.

Beautiful ranch close to San Antonio

My family had the best time on our Staycation. We wanted a place in the county but only had a few days off. This was a perfect setting 30 minutes from home. Beautiful ranch alongside Salado creek and the San Antonio river. Lots of room to roam and mountain bike. The cabin had plenty of space for our family of 4 adults and 2 children. The cabin was well equipped with everything needed for my birthday celebration. We had a cook out by the pool. Made homemade icecream, then hiked down to the river. We loved this place so much that we would like to come back for a longer stay. The host was a great guy!

Not as expected

I’m sorry to say, this was not what we expected. Cabin is not in very good shape and accommodations left much to be desired. Cabin was clean but there is not a living room area where guests cannot just sit comfortably and visit. Beds are in every room except kitchen. No door on “bedroom” except master. Holes in exterior siding where critters can get in under cabin. Outdoor seating was also uncomfortable. Deck had wasps. No pool. Property was large with many trails which was nice for walking the dog. Guests should be aware these are motorcycle trails so there could be cycles running the trails. Also a gun range on property do you may hear gunfire. We were scheduled for a full week but We left 2 days early after finding roaches in kitchen. Some dead but 1 huge roach that was still alive (I have photos) Overall, not a pleasant stay.

Awesome place

We had an amazing time! Nice house with everything that you could possibly need. Very clean and well maintained. We enjoyed swimming in the river, looking for artifacts and jumping in the pool. Owners are very nice and quick to respond. We will definitely be staying here again!!

Short & sweet stay

- communication with our host before and during our stay was prompt and gracious - although dated, the house was extremely clean and was equipped with absolutely everything we needed- it rained throughout our stay but the covered porch allowed us a little outdoor time - very pretty property and dog-friendly, which was a priority for us. We did not get to enjoy all the area had to offer but would def recommend this place for anyone with kids or dogs, looking for a lil country getaway.

Better than hotel's

My children loved this place better than hotel's we've stayed at. They loved the pool and actually got to enjoy it, vs hotels. There was plenty of room to roam and go on hikes. I loved the softness of the sheets and the dishes!! There was plenty of sleeping room for everyone! We would have been cramped in a hotel room!!

Perfect place close to the city

This home had so much to offer. The pool, outdoor seating, fridge with an ice maker and filtered water were such a bonus. Jack was so helpful and offered to drive us around the acreage. Air conditioner was a little loud - especially at night. Can’t wait to come back and stay again!!

Perfect for large families

Not the Hilton but if you want a place that you can all be together for a very reasonable price then this is perfect. Host was very nice and helpful. Older unit but everything was provided and clean. No bugs inside but you are out in the country a bit so plan on enjoying nature.

Country Getaway

This place is a great home to enjoy peace and quiet. It’s a lovely piece of property and the owner is very accommodating and easy to get in touch with. There is lots to explore on the property and the house can sleep a good number of people. I’ll definitely go back for some R & R!

Beautiful Family time

We had a great family time at this beautiful piece of heaven like Jack (the owner) likes to call it. To celebrate my hubbies b-day. Our Family loved how big it was, I honestly wasn't expecting that, it is a huge property with great rails to have a fun, riding the 4 wheelers and go carts, we had a good time at the river too, the house is very clean. Jack has a great personality, attitude and is a great host. We really appreciate, you let us stayed at your beautiful place/home. Thank you, God bless you all.
