Great stay in Hudson

Excellent visit to Hudson for Memorial Day weekend. Our home is as was great inside and outside. Home and property was beautiful, very clean with everything we needed for a wonderful stay. Sara, our host, was fantastic. Super responsive, with bonus of excellent restaurant and outdoor activities for us and our dogs! I highly recommend!

Great country retreat

The house was beautiful, and completely stocked with everything one could need. Lovely furnishings and artwork, and comfortable beds. Property peaceful and private. We enjoyed the pool and many attractions very close by.

We had a super stay at this property. I say “property” because it’s so much more than “just a house.”The house, of course, is beautiful and very nicely designed and decorated. It’s incredibly comfortable with lots of different places to sneak away for privacy. Whether you want to be in the main living areas or outdoors or upstairs, there are many places to just be.There are great property fences so dogs or little kids can be well contained… and are able to run free.The entire property is large enough so you’ll never hear any neighbors. And there’s lots of room to play outdoors. The pool, of course, is a great feature, and it’s contained within its own fenced in area, in case guests have young children.The owner was the best home-owner communicator we’ve ever experienced: Clear, prompt, responsive, fair, and generous.It would be hard to exceed our experience and we would definitely return one day—I hope soon!

Christmas Cozy

Our family with adult children and partners enjoyed our 2 week Christmas stay at Sara's farmhouse, and especially appreciated the generous bedrooms and large updated bathrooms, the good heating, good sheets, plentiful towels, and scenic location. The Catskills were visible through the trees upstairs. Our arrival was complicated by a snowstorm that dumped 18" snow and made access up the steep driveway a problem for our non- 4WD car. Sara was extremely concerned and helpful as we sorted out being stuck in the snow and was available throughout for questions. Due to Covid and cold we cooked almost all our meals indoors, and I would say that the kitchen was small for our needs, with limited countertop space, and foody cooks might want to check with Sara about specific tools they need. There are plenty of pots and pans and knives. Some of the furniture was worn and a dining chair was broken. The fireplace looks very nice but not currently useable. But, overall a lovely home and a light touch with the decor that adds to a sense of serenity. If the items I mentioned were improved I would give it 5 stars.

Restful and Secluded

The property is well-located in the beautiful and history-rich Hudson Valley, tucked away yet 15 minutes from the antique stores, restaurants, farmer’s market and bustle of Hudson proper. Our stay was restful and secluded. It was also active and eventful—exploring, sightseeing—as needed. Sara couldn’t have been more accommodating and responsive to whatever issues popped up.

Beautiful house in Hudson NY

My family and I stayed here for the past two weeks and had a wonderful time. The house is clean, nicely appointed, and has a great outdoor pool (with ample lounge chairs)! The owner, Sara, was super helpful and responsive. She recommended area restaurants and activities for our group. The house is on several acres so it is private and yet a short drive (10 min) to the shops and restaurants in Hudson. There are many hiking and bike trails nearby which we also took advantage of. Highly recommend this property!

Great stay in Hudson!

We had a wonderful 2 week stay with our family and dog. The house was comfortable and everything was well appointed. We spent lots of time relaxing by the pool and grilling on the patio. Sara was very quick to respond to any of our questions and offered many insights to the local happenings. Our kids (college age)enjoyed zip lining at Catamount, paddle boarding at the bowl and shopping downtown Hudson. We played lots of cards, watched movies and went on many hikes. We left rejuvenated and relaxed. It’s a wonderful place to unwind and have some fun!

Lovely getaway in Hudson

Have to say probably one of the best rentals I have ever rented.

Overall great place ! No worries about any incidentals or amenities. My Family was very pleased with entire property inside and out . Pool was great to relax . Unfortunately our circumstances didn’t allow us to fully take use of surrounding areas, Hudson&Valatie . Sara was absolutely professional & helpful . No worries which was extremely helpful because we were attending wake & funer Services for our Mother. I can’t say anything negative regarding rental , completely professional, extremely clean & very peaceful. Sara was a star ! Thanks for everything, we loved it!!!

Luxury country farm house close to town

The house was very well appointed we had everything we needed to cook. The owner was super helpful guiding us on things to do in the area with kids. We enjoyed the close proximity to town and the quietness of the country. Best of both worlds. Go to the breadfolks bakery, there was a line but sooo worth it. Croissants are just like what you get in France.

Perfect Stay in July

My family and I spent a wonderful month at this property. The house was perfect for our family of four with large bedrooms and three full bathrooms. The kitchen was equipped to easily cook plus the added bonus of a grill. We lived on the screened in porch every day, all day! The pool was so refreshing and my kids (10, 7) had a blast in it almost every day! The area can't be beat for convenience for every day needs like groceries, farm stands, etc. but the outdoor activities available was perfect for hiking. going to the lake, boating. etc. Sara is a great owner. Easily accessible before and during our stay. She was quick to help when needed and gave us a guide to start our Hudson stay. It truly was the perfect escape for the summer!

This is a wonderful property to stay. Sara was incredibly accommodating and an excellent host taking care of our every need including local recommendations and supplies for the house! Highly recommend staying here for a relaxing get away from the city!!

Large House short drive to Hudson center

We were three couples preferring three bedrooms with queen size beds and so this large house was perfect for us. Very comfortable and an easy 15 minute drive to the center of Hudson. The hosts were flexible about arrival and departure times which was very helpful. And they allowed us to bring our cats !

Had a quick trip Upstate. This house was very comfortable, very clean, private, safe, beautiful area and close to all the Restaurants and stores downtown Hudson. We went out to Copake Lake while there and up to Kinderhook as well. I would definitely recommend.

Beautiful home, disappointing kitchen.

Beautiful charming home. Bedrooms were nice and accommodating. Close to downtown Hudson and nearby Catamount. We were disappointed with the kitchen. The dishwasher did not properly wash dishes and there were dirty dishes in the cabinets when we arrived. The stove top was not properly working so it took extra time to prepare meals. Unfortunately the house advertises a fireplace, however it could not be used which was disappointing since we were there during the cold winter.

Perfect!!!

We stayed here for our annual Columbus Day weekend trip and had the best time! The house and grounds are absolutely gorgeous. The house had everything we needed and was remarkably clean and well maintained (in addition to cozy!). The house is conveniently located near many stores and is just a short drive to Hudson. Also worth mentioning that Sara, the homeowner, was extremely helpful and provided many useful tips on how to spend our time in the area - and she was super friendly as well! I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a place to stay.
