About this property

Very spacious rural retreat, walk to Crieff — Couples, Families, Pets Welcome.

Steading Cottage is a peaceful retreat set in beautiful countryside just two miles from the centre of Crieff. Despite the rural tranquility, you're only minutes from the town's restaurants, cafés, pubs and shops, with excellent access to golf courses, fishing, cycling, walking and tennis.

The cottage comfortably sleeps four in two bedrooms, one with a king size bed, the other with zip and link twin beds and ensuite walk in shower room. Additionally a large family shower room.

The heart of the home is a magnificent 34-foot open-plan living and dining space. At one end, a cozy log burner creates the perfect spot for evening relaxation on the sofa and armchairs while watching the smart TV. An elegant archway opens to a bright, spacious area with high ceilings, wooden floors, additional sofa, chairs and soft rugs. French doors lead onto a generous patio and secure garden with stunning open views toward Ben Chonzie.

Our half mile drive brings you to the foot of Crieff, a bustling market town rooted in Scotland's cattle-trading past. Explore Scotland's oldest public library at nearby Innerpeffray, catch local festivals, or experience the excitement of Crieff Highland Games with traditional Highland competitions. The area offers excellent day trips: visit the formal gardens at Drummond Castle, tour and taste at Glenturret Distillery (Scotland's oldest), or head to Loch Earn for kayaking and scenic walks, Comrie Croft for mountain biking and Crieff Hydro for many activities. Neighboring villages, Comrie and Muthill provide additional golf and dining options, while world-famous Gleneagles offers premium golf, equestrian activities and clay pigeon shooting. From this central Perthshire location, you can easily reach St Andrews' historic university town and beaches, the cities of Edinburgh and Glasgow, or venture north into the Cairngorms and towards the dramatic Scottish Highlands through Aberfeldy and Pitlochry.

Plenty of private parking is available.

Prima plek

Beautiful property, lovely location, not secure garden!

The property was lovely, well equipped, and owners very friendly and helpful. We had our two dogs with us and had specifically asked if the garden was secure, we found out very quickly it was not. Our stay was marred by having to have to have the dogs on leads in the garden, which was not much fun when the weather was so nice we wanted to enjoy the lovely garden to eat our meals.
