Thanks again! Always a pleasure to have you stay at our camp....hope to have you back a 3rd, 4th, and as many times as you'd like to visit....fall and winter are very nice as well, and offer a different experience, just in case you'd like to get away then....
My friends and I have been renting a house each summer for the past 8 years. This house was perfect for us. Great swimming and room to spread out. Thank you!

I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay. Thank you as well for being great guests!
We really enjoyed our time here. Beautiful huge deck, great main lever space, very open and wonderful for entertaining. Bedrooms very comfortable and house was nice and clean. Only downside was the downstairs was a little musty, and 3 bedrooms are down there, so some with breathing issues couldn't sleep down there. Over all we did really enjoy our visit, just wished we would have brought an air purifier. Host was very accessible and kind.
The setting was superb. The house was big enough for the 13 of us and we loved having 2 large tables for meals (one for adults and one for kids worked great). Huge porch with chairs and tables. Cool nights. The lake and woods were fabulous. Lots of wildlife. Great swimming and we brought a canoe. Fishing was good, too. Awesome outdoor fireplace, perfect for s'mores. Also, pretty close to stores and Lake George for something different. Deer, turkey, loons, etc. Owner was kind and responsive.

Thanks so much for the kind words, glad you enjoyed your stay!
This home is so spacious and beautiful. We were a group of 11 and could have easily fit plenty more. Ken was top notch, He helped with any questions we had. There was plenty of firewood for us and we enjoyed a beautiful fire on a winter night. The bar was my favorite part of the house, Its gorgeous!!! When everything is closed around you due to the pandemic you definitely had some normalcy sitting at the bar playing games and laughing! I highly recommend this house. We definitely will be returning!

Disrupted stay
We had water issues for 2 days and they affected water and toilet function. Needless to say it was not easy with 5 adults and 3 children needing to use the facilities but they were fixed before we left. I feel like we are owed a compensation from the host but as of this email I have not received anything!

Amazing house with lots of space for the family!
Every year a group of my cousins and I plan a long weekend away to send off the summer. This was our first time traveling to the Lake Luzerne area. From the moment we walked into the lake house, we were in love. There was plenty of space for all 10 of us to gather at the table, in the living room on the comfy couches, downstairs in the spectacular bar area, and at the dock on the water! The wrap around porch was perfect for grilling and relaxing when we needed a bit of shade. There is a downhill path to the dock area, but we found it very easy to pack up our cooler and towels in the morning, walk down, and enjoy the dock and water all day. During our stay, the area of the lake the house is on was quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed swimming and lounging without any disturbance. The downstairs bar and patio area is the perfect place to unwind at the end of the day! We enjoyed singing karaoke, playing card games, and making s'mores on the fire in the HUGE fire pit. And as an added bonus, not one of us had a single bug bite!!
I truly can't say enough about how much we enjoyed this house. Ken and Marlana were easily contacted and got back to me quickly with any question I had. I recommend this house to anyone looking for a relaxing, fun weekend on the lake!

Thanks for staying at our lakehouse and for the wonderful and detailed review! We've had the house for 24 years and we love it. We also have a large family, extended family, and friends, so we know just how hard it can be to find a place to accommodate a large group. Again, thanks for renting and hopefully we add you to our list of repeat guests!

Great setting with wonderful deck
Property is in very lovely setting. Dock is great for swimmers and boaters. The wrap around deck is great!
House could use some attention especially the down stairs rooms. There are several non working televisions in various rooms downstairs, one in particular on the floor which is a worry for children. The carpet downstairs is rippled in several locations. The lower third of the bannister going to the basement is not attached to the wall. Also, the de humidifier is not adequate enough to remove the musty smell in the basement bedrooms.
Outside the fire pit was filled with old ash. It took my sons many buckets to remove the ash and trash that was in and around the fire pit.
There was a great deal of trash in the bins when we arrived with no cover on top. I am very familiar with camping in the Adirondacks and know that this could indeed present a problem.
I did wonder if the host had not been to the house in some time due to the above issues.
No issues to be had here accept cell reception, lol. The only thing that I can say is "negative" is the rocky beach. But that's what you get in the Adirondacks. So it's a nonfactor. Ken was great and very accommodating! Would/will definitely stay again in the future.

Great host!
We were 5 adult couples staying at this house for 5 nights. We really appreciated Ken's flexibility in letting us arrive a bit early and leave a bit late. He was very responsive to all the questions we had.
Great place for a big group. Nice deck and outside eating area.
Spacious kitchen. Patio and fire pit were a plus.
Water accessibility wasn't the best; it was quite a walk to the dock and not easy to get kayaks down there.

Overall our experience was nice. Although the property could have been cleaner; example bathroom by kitchen toilet was disgusting and oven very dirty. It would have helped for owner to let us know a day before arrival since there is no phone signal and drove approx 3 miles. The path and steps to the dock could use some attention.
The home was in a beautiful location & easily accommodated our group of 9 people. We thoroughly enjoyed the lake, the deck, the fire pit, & the bar, as well as the surrounding area. A few drawbacks: house was surface cleaned, but could use a good deep cleaning; no air conditioning— not a problem except on the first night, but the lack of AC is easy to miss in the listing; game room needs updating & a new ball for the foosball table; access to dock & lake a bit challenging (but worth it!); taxidermy decor scared our youngest member— just be aware it’s there if you have animal lovers or small kids in your group.
What a wonderful home for grandparents to enjoy their ever growing and going family. Plenty of room for sleepy heads to chat and catch up at breakfast. Dock accommodates 2 boats and lake was perfect for tubing & swimming. Nights brought a blazing campfire with s’mores and cinnamon buns in the pie irons. Ken, the owner, was one of the best! Hope to visit again.
The house is fantastic for a big group like we had. Lots of room for everyone to spread out both inside and out. The walk down to the dock is a bit tricky but the water access is excellent.
The master bedroom was HUGE and the bed was super comfortable. The other beds were not quite as comfortable and the downstairs gets very musty. But the upstairs attic fan works amazingly well at night to cool the house down.
The house could use a good, deep clean. Otherwise, it's really great. We very much enjoyed our stay there.
The home was extremely spacious and fit 10 adults with no problem with beds to spare. The bar in the basement and lake were my favorite feature. I enjoyed bringing my boat to the home as they had a large dock that fit the boat and 3 kayak's with ease! I'll be back next year.
Thanks for such an amazing time.

Amazing Lake, house not so much
My family and I recently spent a week in this home on our vacation. The space is great, but it needs desperate cleaning. Dirt and dust everywhere. I could run my fingers through the dust. The grass was very long even after the owner came by to mow. He mowed around the middle and that was all. It was very disappointing when we arrived to see that the pictures on the website are NOT accurate depictions of the house. Seriously dated with damage to the ceiling and NOT CLEAN.
The pictures really do not do this home justice. It is a gem nestled in the woods, and is spacious, and simply beautiful. We had a large group with lots of kids and Ken’s home was exactly what we needed. No one felt cramped or uncomfortable and there was more than enough bedding and bathrooms for our group. What we really enjoyed were the different spots around the home where we could really spread out: the bar, the fire pit, and the wrap around deck.
It was a short walk to the dock but our group really enjoyed swimming, fishing and boating. Simply put, we had a fantastic time.

Thankyou for the wonderful review! I'm glad you and your group enjoyed it as much as I do. Thanks so much for staying and taking good care of the home!
The house is incredible, the location is amazing. The bar downstairs is so awesome. The dock is perfect. We had a big group and everyone was comfortable and had the time of their lives. I can't hype this place up enough.
Manager was very friendly and helpful. I like the milkweed garden with monarch caterpillars. Lower stairs to water dock was in need of repair, you had to be very careful descending. The master bedroom was beautiful and the big deck was great but could use patio furniture, we had to keep moving chairs from patio to deck and back. The weather was great and we enjoyed our stay.

Hadley review
While the house is very nice, it lacks upkeep something fierce. When we arrived, the cleaning lady was there, said she was just finishing up the last bed. Once she left, we entered the home, and when we walked into our room with bunk beds, there was a twin sheet thrown on the bottom bunk full size bed, with a bed spread thrown over it. The house was SO HOT, which we expected since there was not AC, but all the windows were left closed. We opened all of them to air it out, which it desperately needed, and the dust and cobwebs that were there was unbelievable!! When we walked downstairs, the smell of mold made it so difficult to breathe! I couldn't believe it! It made it so difficult to sleep down there. I couldn't believe the amount of moisture present. We were never informed that there was a dehumidifier down there, and we found it the last night. It did help, but not nearly enough. Something needs to be done to fix that situation desperately.
The Laundry room smelled SO badly of cat urine!
The lake was beautiful!! We thoroughly enjoyed it very much! But the final steps to get down to the dock were falling over, so they were unusable. We did make the best of it, however, and were able to enjoy it anyway! It was truly gorgeous!
We were asked to put all the garbage at the top of the driveway in the storage boxes. When we went up there, there was garbage already in there, so there was no room for ours.
When we first arrived, the cleaning lady told us she left her information, so to call her or send her a FB message with anything we need. We tried to contact her several times, and there was no response at all. We finally called the owner at one point, and he did get back to us.
If the house gets taken care of much better, and better people are hired for cleaning, with some loving care, it would be a really nice place to stay!!
For the past 6 years our family has gotten together at pine ridge and our whole family loves it
We look forward to our time there with wonderful accommodations and direct lake shore access
Thanks to you Ken

About the host
Hosted by Ken W
After spending childhood vacations at both the jersey shore and the Adirondacks, I fell in love with the mountains and lakes. My friends parents had homes on Lake George and Upper Saranac. When I began looking for my weekend getaway, I did not want to travel 5 hours to the Saranac area every weekend. Lake George was only 3 hours from NJ, but the homes I could afford were on small lots with shared docks and did not offer any privacy. Venturing out from camping in Lake Luzerne one year, I had driven over to the dam and saw only that portion of the Great Sacandaga Lake, but that was all it took to peak my interest. In February 1993 after looking at just 8 homes on the Sacandaga, I knew that I had to have this home even though it was at the top end of my budget.
Why they chose this property
Location, Location, Location! This house is on what many locals refer to as 'The Boardwalk and Park Place of the Sacandaga' because it is on one of the very few dead end streets that front on the lake. Many Sacandaga houses are on the main road, most of which are across from the lake and on the main road, making them 'Lakefront Homes' with their own beach and dock across a busy road - not child or elderly friendly at all....this home is 'Lake Side' meaning no street to cross to get to the lake....also alot quieter and more private. This part of the lake offers deep water, which is great for boats and swimming off the dock.
What makes this property unique
Private yet conveniently located. View of the lake from the deck, living room, kitchen, and master bedroom. 50' of direct lake front on deep water with a large dock. Fire pit, patio, gas and charcoal grills, Tavern room with wet bar. Plenty of living and private space. Plenty of parking in the driveway. To get to the lake simply walk down the stairs from the front yard, or load up your ATV or car with the days supplies, and drive down the dirt lane in front of the house....Marinas close by for boat launching or rentals: 3 miles away is the Majestic Mountain Marina 518-696-3727 and 13 miles away is Edinburg Marina 518-863-8398 or for river action, whitewater rafting and kayaking, Sacandaga Outdoor Center is only 7 miles away, call them to find out current hours and rates 518-696-5710
