About this property

Casa Rondini is set on six hectares of vineyards, olive groves and sunflowers. It is surrounded by medieval hilltop towns close to the Umbrian and Tuscan border. We offer apartments to rent in the Umbrian casale not far from the village of Montegabbione. The apartment has a large front and back terrace to catch the morning and evening sun and a private separate entrance. Apartment is spacious with a large sitting-room and adjoining fitted kitchen, has two bedrooms and a modern bathroom. The apartment has central heating for the colder months. A supply of logs is available for those who enjoy an open fire.
Large infinity swimming pool is 16-8 meters from 0 to two meters deep, surrounded by pine trees and a garden with large steps on with large steps on one side safe for small children and elderly.
This is one of the downstairs apartments we have available. We have also 2 upstairs apartments to rent and apartment in the separate casale with a private garden.
Ideal departing point towards the most beautiful art cities of the central Italy. 35 km from Perugia, 20 km from Orvieto, 110 from Rome, 120 from Florence. Easy distance to shops and supermarkets in Fabro.
We are working organic farm producing organic extra virgin olive oil, vine and saffron. We offer free seasonal organic fruits and vegetable as available from the garden. Fresh eggs daily from fee range chickens.
Those who enjoy making and eating Italian specialities is welcome to join us on the special cooking evenings: - making pizza in the stone oven - making fresh pasta - enjoy special saffron recipes.
Casa Rondini is in the midst of a multitude of small medieval towns with ancient historic and cultural works of art. Within comfortable reach of the stunning cities of Perugia , Orvieto, Cortona and Assisi Casa Rondini is truly a delightful place for pure relaxation, family fun and cultural pursuits.

Friendly relaxed apartment in lovely location

We had a lovely stay in this spacious apartment which, although one of four, is very private. The large pool was wonderful and very well- maintained and there are lots of other facilities including hammocks under the trees, ping pong, bikes but best of all are the evenings when you can cook with Franco and eat in a beautiful vine covered area at the back, enjoying his wine and meeting the other interesting guests.

Tranquil, beautiful, peaceful, refreshing

We LOVED our three nights at Casa Rondini and hope to return. The owners were warm, gracious and eager to make us feel at home. We arrived in time for Saffron Night, which was a treat as we sat around a large table with 4 other guests and enjoyed a wonderful meal prepared by Franco and Bozena. Bozena explained growing and harvesting the saffron used in our meal, complete with pictures. The rooms were tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed having a front and back balcony for reading and dining. At the end of each hot day of sightseeing in the hill towns, we really enjoyed time in the pool. There were also hammocks, bikes, a cantina (with wine, olive oil, jams, and eggs from the property) and washing machines. A grocery store about 5k away supplied all our other needs. Orvieto was about 30 minutes away by car.

We are Franco and Bozena. We live here since 2002 and we love it. We specialize in producing our own organic extra virgin olive oil, vine and saffron. We love looking after the farm, but having guests coming from all over the world and staying in our apartments makes our life here very special.

We found this farm and we loved it from the first sight. The location was perfect – deep in a beautiful countryside but in the same within quick and comfortable reach of the stunning cities of Perugia, Orvieto, Rome and Florence. We knew is going to be a hard work but we still enjoying every moment of it.
