About the host
Hosted by Sophie
Anthony Murphy, is a well known Irish artist. He has his studio in the wing of Domaine des Jasses. He writes:
"My uncle Richard Murphy became a poet and although I was educated at Westminster and Oxford and went off first to become a barrister, then banking lawyer at Clifford Chance , it just wasn't me . I had won an Emmy as Tom Brown in the BBC's 1970 production of Tom Brown's Schooldays so I knew there were less respectable careers to be had . I abandoned my desk in Paris and headed South to try my luck . Domaine des Jasses entered my life and here I remain to this day.
I often have to travel putting on exhibitions . I have three studios ; one in the wing which you are welcome to visit ; one in Suffolk and one in Ireland . My children are all grown up and so I now just to paint . The Cathar movement , which was local here, still holds my interest as do the medieval ruins everywhere . At Jasses and round about there still exists 'old France' where one can look down the tunnel of time and dream in this still wild and remote place. "
Sophie is Anthony's wife, she used to renovate property and now runs the house rentals with Anthony. She is a children’s writer and has had two books published by Macmillan.

Why they chose this property
We are relaxed hosts, the house is elegant and incredibly spacious and the scenery is stunning. A real home from home. The word we most hear people using to describe Les Jasses is 'Paradise.'
What makes this property unique
Large pool, stunning views, lots of room. Housekeeping and a chef can ususally be arranged.
