Tamarin: Charming bungalow on Tamarin Bay

La Rondavelle was renewed and it's back on VRBO! The bungalow is fully furnished in colonial style, with tatched roof, surrounded by trees, on Tamarin beach. Le Barachois is a very quiet area, between the sea and the lagoon created by Tamarin River. A unique experience in Mauritian nature. The beach is crossed by a river which can be crossed walking, during the dry season, to reach Tamarin village.
On the first floor there are two bedrooms (one with a double bed and one with bunk beds) and one bathroom, while the ground floor has one bedroom (two single beds) with the ac, one bathroom (where you can find the washing machine), the kitchen and the living room. This means that La Rondavelle can host 6 people comfortably and a baby as well, since there is a crib at your disposal.
You will also have a nice terrace all for yourself and a garden and front yard where you can park your car.
The cleanings are included and on a regular basis; the bedsheets, towels, hair drier, washing machine and kitchenware will be available for your use. All bedrooms have mosquito nets, windows with blackout curtains and closets.
The whole house is available to guests. No smoking inside the house. Always be careful with candles and fire, especially in case of wind, because of the thatched roof. Unfortunately the water is not drinkable and should not be wasted.

Séjour agréable et dépaysant

Nous avons passé un super séjour car l’emplacement de la maison est vraiment idéal la plage deux minutes à pied est top le seul petit hic sont les moustiques. De plus la maison garde énormément l’humidité lorsqu’il pleut même à l’intérieur. Sinon la communication avec les gérants sont vraiment super elle a su me donner des conseils . Vanessa ( qui entretien la maison) est aux petits soins jeune fille très agréable très gentille et serviable

Charmantes Haus in toller Lage

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das Haus ist sehr charmant und gemütlich und ist gut ausgestattet. Ein wenig Renovierungsbedarf an einigen Stellen, aber nicht weiter störend. Für unsre 2 kleinen Kindern (4 und 5 Jahre) ein Traum. In wenigen Metern am tollen recht wenig besuchten Strand. Durch den Fluss nach Tamarin waten war ein Highlight für die Kinder. Die Eigentümer und die Haushälterin Vanessa waren jederzeit erreichbar und sehr zuvorkommend. Wir können das Haus sehr empfehlen!

schönes Bungalow

Wir waren 2 Wochen im Rondavelle "stationiert". Das Bungalow ist heimelig und schön eingerichtet und gut ausgestattet. Schade war nur, dass eine riiiiesen Baustelle 2 Strässchen weiter im Gange ist, auf welcher sogar Sonntags gearbeitet wurde. Das heisst wir haben den Tag nie verschlafen da ab 8.00 Uhr der "Wecker" hämmerte und bohrte. Der Strand welcher ein paar Schritte vom Haus entfernt ist, war super und man hatte ihn fast für sich alleine. Gemäss dem Inserat sollte das Bungalow jeden Tag gereinigt werden, was leider nur zur Hälfte der Fall war, aber die Haushälterin war sehr freundlich und hat ihren Job grundsätzlich gut gemacht. Fazit = ohne Baustelle wären es perfekte Ferien gewesen! PS: Ein Auto ist unumgänglich

una casina magica

semplicemente una casina magica in una delle piu belle zone di mauritius.le foto su homeaway non rendono sufficientemente l idea,dal vero e molto piu suggestiva,sia fuori che dentroCi si addormenta la sera col rumore del mare e ci si sveglia la mattina con il concerto degli uccellini,che puntualmente vengono ad aspettare le briciole davanti al delizioso porticato,mostrando i loro meravigliosi colori.la spiaggia e a due passi e non e mai affollata.La casa viene regolarmente pulita da vanessa,gentilissima e utilissima per varie situazioni dei viaggi fai da te.Tamarin e un villaggio carino che offre la possibilita di godersi una vacanza lontano dai flussi turistici e di immergersi nella vita mauriziana.consiglio la gita in barca per nuotare coi delfini(vi vengono a prendere sulla spiaggia)e il successivo barbecue sull isola di benitiers,un po turistico ma quando mi ricapitava un occasione cosi?da tamarin e poi possibile raggiungere in poco tempo la costa meridionale,senza dubbio la piu bella e selvaggia dell isola.insomma un soggiorno da sogno che consiglierei a chiunque

"Bonjour Premierement la...

"Bonjour Premierement la maison n''est pas sur le front de mer en premiere ligne (comme indique dans l''annonce) mais en 4 eme position par rapport au front de mer a 150 metre de la mer. Nous nous attendions a voir la maison sur la plage et il y a eu tromperie! Deuxiemement il nous a ete dit que le couple qui avait reserve avant nous etait parti au bout d''une journee a cause des insectes et des rongeurs! Et c''est franchement ce que nous voulions faire si nous avions eu internet pour chercher une autre maison. Il est dispose un peu partout dans la maison des petits recipients de mort aux rats! De plus, et c''est l''inconvenient des toits en chaume, tous les rongeurs nichent dans le toit. Par voie de consequence, vos nuits seront tres courtes (d''autant plus si vous avez des enfants en bas ages) car les multiples blattes et rats/souris sortent la nuit et passent sous les lits, grimpent sur les poutres du toit etc.... J''ai lu les differentes appreciation et je suis surpris que personne n''y fasse reference. J''espere que le couple qui nous a precede avec l''enfant en bas age le fera. En conclusion, nous regrettons ce choix, d''autant plus qu''il y a eu tromperie sur la position de la maison par rapport a la mer. We deeply regret this choice because the owner lied about this house positionning regarding the sea about due to many rats and other animals around and inside this house "

"Posto splendido. Situato in una parte di Tamarin "staccata" dal contesto del paese vero e proprio. Spiaggia vicinissima e non affollata come le spiagge del nord dell''isola o come i villaggi. Si vede la vita delle persone del posto. Il Boungalow in se è molto attrezzato ma lascia spazio anche alla vita "selvaggia". A qualcuno può dare fastidio vedere un Geko in casa che ti fa compagnia...a noi invece è piaciuto questo tipo di discorso che a reso anche la vacanza un pò fuori dal solito contesto. In ogni caso tutti i comfort sono presenti...chi se lo dimentica il relax provato sul divano li nel cortile? Unica nota negativa ma non al Boungalow ma in generale a Mauritius è la totale mancanza di rispetto e di controllo dei cani randagi che per un paio di notti hanno abbaiato insistentemente nelle vicinanze. In ogni caso, posto splendido, vicino alla parte dell''isola più naturalistica, e Vanessa che ci ha assistito per tutta la durata del soggiorno facendoci assaggiare qualche piatto Mauriziano e aiutandoci nell''organizzazione della bellissima escursione in alto mare in compagnia dei delfini. Da ritornarci. "

"Nous avons apprécié l'originalité du logement, l'environnement, la proximité de la plage à 50 m avec accès privé, l'esprit de service de Vanessa la bonne ainsi que la gentillesse et l'honnêteté des propriétaires qui nous ont dépannés gracieusement d'une nuit supplémentaire (notre vol retour étant annulé). Le bungalow n'a pas une vue directe sur l'océan, l'accès au village par la route est un peu long et il manque un peu de place en plan de travail pour préparer à manger (mais Vanessa nous a proposé de nous préparer de bons plats Mauriciens et les restaurants sont bons marchés). Nous avons passé un très bon séjour"

"Es war ein wunderschönes...

"Es war ein wunderschönes Haus, mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Der Strand ist nur wenige Gehminuten entfernt und in der netten Nachbarschaft bekommt man schnell Kontakt, somit auch viele gute Tips. Vanessa, das Hausmädchen, ist sehr nett und fleißig. Auch gibt es in der Nähe gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Insgesamt ist da Haus sehr zu empfehlen, wir verbrachten dort eine wunderschöne Zeit und kommen gerne wieder....."

"Il bellissimo bungalow d...

"Il bellissimo bungalow di Barachois è incantevole, curato in ogni dettaglio e ciò nondimeno molto "vivo", ci si sente privilegiati e a casa propria allo stesso tempo: Vanessa è un valido aiuto per il disbrigo quotidiano. La location è fantastica, riservatissima, come la meravigliosa spiaggia ma noleggiando un'auto (scelta consigliata) si può facilmente scoprire tutta l'isola. Il mare dista davvero due minuti a piedi, a seconda del tempo e delle aree può essere calmo oppure creare meravigliose onde per il body surf o il surf. La zona è perfetta per chi cerca tranquillità e relax: immersa nella natura, gli unici "disturbi sonori" possono essere il cinguettio degli uccellini, il cra-cra delle rane o l'irruenza delle onde... tuttavia a dieci minuti d'auto o anche meno c'è tutta l'esuberanza di Flic-en-Flac della sua vita notturna, del casinò e dello shopping, oppure a 20 minuti in auto si arriva a Quatre-Bornes pertanto si può davvero vivere una vacanza multisfaccettata."

"We were at the house with our two sons (age 6 and 10). The house is really lovely with a small garden. The surrounding area is quiet and the clean, not crowded, wonderful beach is just behind the house. There is also a good restaurant at the beach. A nice maid is doing a good job to keep the house clean evey day. We all had a really perfect holiday in the house! "

Why they chose this property

In this house we lived three years, from 2003 to 2006, when our children were small. They were three wonderful years, lived in the wild, the golf course was not there and the monkeys were often visiting our garden. Le Barachois was a hideout for pirates during the colonial period and then a refuge for hippies and surfers in the '60s and '80s, when our house was built by an Australian surfer, with a round base, a "Rondavelle" as they used to build in the colonial period. Today, the region has become quite luxurious but still retains a magical atmosphere and a feeling of freedom ... As in his past.
