Ancient luxury oil mill

Historic water mill, transformed into an evocative holiday residence, unique in the territory of ancient LUNI, a border area between Liguria and Tuscany, between the Apuan Alps and the Mediterranean Sea.
Casale Amati is the oldest oil mill in eastern Liguria; Its original nucleus is dated to the 14th century. d. C.
It is furnished with care and charm, with period furniture from the Marchesi Amati-Ingolotti family.
The heavy stone wheels and the ancient chestnut gears, used in the processing of the olives, have become an integral part of the furniture, giving a unique and authentic atmosphere.
Casale Amati has equipped outdoor spaces, in the large and varied Italian garden (7000 m2)
The lawyer Marchese Panfilo Ingolotti, passionate about botany, in the early 1900s enriched the garden surrounding the farmhouse with rare plants. In the garden you can find native fauna and flora as evidence of an uncontaminated territory.

Amazing stay at Casle Amati

Casale Amati is stunning. Frederica and Enrico have given attention to every detail and created a magical space. The gardens and rooms were so special. I particularly loved the pictures of their grandparents who once ran this family treasure. We stayed here for a quiet place while we explored Liguria with e-bikes, olive oil tasting and more. Local restaurants near Ortonovo we’re a bonus. Thank you Frederica and Enrico for caring for this special place. It deserves all of our love!

A beautiful, very unusual vacation home

This historic olive mill in the foothills of Liguria, just a few miles from the beach, is extraordinary. The rental is made up of several adjoined buildings that were all once part of an olive mill, and the giant mill workings are still in place. The family that owns the rental has done a wonderful job of turning this stone and wood building into an elegant and inviting vacation house. Federica, the family member who communicates with renters, is extremely helpful and obviously has a terrific eye for small, luxurious details such as bed linens. We were a group of six middle-aged couples who rented the entire place, meaning we had several kitchens and living rooms at our disposal. We cooked and ate in the lovely back garden most evenings. The only points I'd make to future renters is that for people who have difficulty with stairs, this may not be the best rental option. Also you definitely need a car to get to stores, restaurants and the beach. For us, the olive mill was a terrific base for a memorable week in Liguria.

Fantastischer Urlaub

Diese Unterkunft ist einmalig, ruhig und entschleunigend. Man kann vom Garten aus in die Olivenhaine spazieren und die Gegend ist wunderschön. Ein idealer Platz mit Hunden. Das Haus ist liebevoll gestaltet und es fehlt einem nichts. Wir haben super bei Napoli PEPE Pizza und Steaks gegessen und den Urlaub genossen. Cinque Terre kann man auch sehr gut zu Fuß durchwandern und mit dem Boot oder dem Zug zurückfahren. Wir kommen wieder in diese wunderschöne Gegend.

Casa confortevole, pulita, curata nei dettagli!

Abbiamo soggiornato durante i giorni del ponte del 25 aprile in un gruppo di 13 amici, occupando i due appartamenti comunicanti (La Marchesa e Le Macine). Il casale è stata una piacevole sorpresa: camere spaziose, pulite, arredate con mobili d’epoca (biancheria letto e bagno inclusa). Le zone giorno sono ampie e le cucine sono abbondantemente attrezzate di stoviglie e pentolame. Tutti gli ambienti ben riscaldati. Sul retro, si accede alla zona esterna, con barbecue, tavolo, sedie e sdraio. Di fronte alla casa c’è parcheggio per 4 auto. I proprietari sono cortesi e disponibili, così come la vicina di casa (signora Rina di 88 anni), che ha aperto la casa al nostro arrivo e ci ha accompagnato all’interno. La posizione è comoda, sia per raggiungere il mare della Liguria che della Toscana. Anche i piccoli borghi di Ortonovo Alto e di Nicola meritano una visita. Vicine anche le cave di marmo e Colonnata con le sue ladrerie. Consigliamo, quindi, il soggiorno a Casale Amati e ci auguriamo di poterci tornare.

Amazing property with lots of space and a substantial yard

We visited the Oil Mill with another family, altogether 8 of us. There was plenty of space for all with extra bedrooms left over. The kitchen functioned well and we grilled over open fire in the backyard grill. The garden gave the kids plenty of room to play. A perfect stay.

Casa Storica molto affascinante, La Sala del Torchio con i suoi ingranaggi è davvero molto bella. La casa è molto grande e pulita, ampio ed attrezzato il giardino. La cucina è dotata di molti utensili, così con il nostro gruppo di amici abbiamo potuto cucinare in comodità. Apprezzato dai bambini l'accesso a Netflix. Gentili e disponibili i proprietari che hanno consigliato bene su dove andare e cosa visitare, ci hanno anche ospitato gratuitamente al mare, un grazioso stabilimento balneare in Versilia. Una sorpresa l'anfiteatro di Luni! Consiglio il posto soprattutto a gruppi di amici.

Casale Amati

Sono stato ospite a Casale Amati l'autunno scorso. Ero con la mia famiglia. Siamo stati fortunati perché il tempo è stato buono, così abbiamo potuto visitare Lerici e Le Cinque Terre. E la vicina La Spezia. Siamo stati in visita anche alle Cave di Carrara, che non immaginavo essere così imponenti. La casa inoltre è davvero particolare, difficile da spiegare... ben arredata ed attrezzata di ogni comfort. C'è una buona connessione internet, con cui ho potuto anche lavorare..La televisione ha Netflix, questo è stato molto gradito! Posto consigliato!!

L’antico frantoio

Posto incantevole immerso nel verde, curato nei dettagli, pulito e con l’atmosfera d’altri tempi. Cordiali e gentili i proprietari, sempre disposti a soddisfare ogni nostra richiesta. Bello il giardino esterno e molto particolare la sala della macina, dove ancora è presente la ruota del vecchio frantoio. Se avrò modo ritornerò sicuramente.

Bellissimo e storico Frantoio

Questo antico frantoio ci ha ospitato per giorni dove ho festeggiato il mio 42 compleanno con la famiglia e gli amici. Devo fare i miei complimenti alla proprietaria, Federica, che ci ha accolto con gentilezza e premura.La casa è davvero stupenda, con le scale di ingresso che affiancano le vasche di raccolta e filtraggio dell olio, per poi ritrovarci nell'appartamento enorme ristrutturato con estrema cura ed eleganza ma sopratutto con amore. Non c'è dettaglio lasciato al caso. La casa è dotata di tutti i servizi tra i quali internet e smart Tv (utile coi bimbi). La casa ha qualcosa di magico. Sicuramente la consigliero ai miei amici.

Wonderful week

Sino stata a Casale Amati con un gruppo di amici lo scorso week, la casa risulta molto accogliente e ben curata nei dettagli, L appartamento “le macine e la marchesa” sono adatti ai gruppi numerosi come il nostro, pur mantenendo intatto lo stile country chic. Il giardino intorno alla casa e’ una piacevole compagnia e aiuta ad allontanare stress e tensioni. I dettagli d’ arredo sono assolutamente in stile è frutto di un lavoro meticoloso fatto di passione. Federica, la proprietaria, e’ una persona molto disponibile, amabile e con una grande propensione all’ Ospitalità! Le consiglio!

Ottimo per rilassarsi

I proprietari sono molto simpatici, gentili e disponibili. Noi abbiamo pernottato per 4 notti negli appartamenti: Le Macine e La Marchesa. La casa è molto spaziosa e accogliente, ci sono due stufe che riscaldano molto l’ambiente per chi volesse andare in inverno. Un punto negativo è la strada molto stretta, tipica della Liguria. Eravamo in 12 e siamo stati molto bene. Ci sono un salotto e un tavolo nei quali ci siamo stati ampiamente. È saltata la corrente qualche volta ma i proprietari si sono dimostrati molto disponibili. In complesso è una casa caratteristica e perfetta per un gruppo di persone. Il custode della casa è un simpatico gattino nero.

De retour d'un premier séjour en Italie Nous avons profité de cette belle demeure et de la région connue pour sa côté magnifique Un très bel accueil des propriétaires ne gâche rien Nous avons dégusté des vins locaux vendus sur place et pour les amateurs ça vaut le détour Merci à federica et Enrico pour leur gentillesse (Encore désolé d'avoir laissé nos déchets mais nous avons eu du mal avec le système de ramassage)

Une magnifique maison

Nous avons passé un week end de 4 jours en famille dans cette superbe maison. Nous avons tous été bluffés de la beauté de cet endroit et de la place que nous avions. Les photos sont conformes à la réalisté, c'est tout aussi atypique, original ! Ortonovo est un petit village paisible ou le calme est au rendez-vous. Très agréable pour se reposer après une journée très occupée au 5 terres par exemple ! Proche de la mer en voiture, je conseille à tout le monde de découvrir cet endroit !

FANTASTICO RELAX

Soggiorno favoloso in un ambiente elegante e rilassante, ideale per gli adulti, ma anche per i bambini che hanno la possibilità di giocare e muoversi in libertà tra le piane del giardino. Ambienti di gusto raffinato che consentono di estraniarsi dalla realtà quotidiana. Consiglio vivamente il soggiorno a chi voglia ricaricare le energie .....Da non sottovalutare la cordialità e la gentilezza dei proprietari.

Un posto speciale

Sono stato ospite presso Casale Amati con famiglia ed amici, l'antico frantoio è stato restaurato con gusto e dotato di tutti i confort..compresa la wi-fi. Gli antichi ingranaggi in pietra e castagno della lavorazione delle olive fanno parte dell'arredo stesso. L'immobile è davvero originale e circondato da un bel giardino coltivato con olivi ed alberi da frutto.

"Une location de très grande qualité que nous recommanderons sans hésitation à nos amis. L''appartement restauré avec beaucoup de goût dans un ancien moulin à huile (un travail remarquable) est très agréable à vivre et parfaitement équipé, très propre, très calme. Les parents des propriétaires nous ont accueilli avec une extrême gentillesse et un grand sens de l''hospitalité. La location est à la fois proche de la côte ligure et des cinque terre mais aussi de Pise et de Lucques. Que demander de plus?"

"Nous avons passé une semaine trés agréable dans cette location spacieuse, calme, confortable, superbement rénovée et originale avec la présence d''énormes pressoirs à huile d''olive dans le salon (c''est un ancien moulin à huile). L''accueil des parents d''Enrico a été trés chaleureux avec bouteille de vin rouge et spécialités locales. La terrasse dans le jardin invitait au repos (un petit ruisseau y courrait). Les principaux lieux touristiques (Cinque Terre, Carrare, Lerici,Portovenere..) sont facilement accessibles en voiture. Nous y reviendrons bien volontiers."

"Les jeunes hôtes de la maison, sont aussi sympathiques que leur maison est accueillante, confortable et zen. Nous avons eu une super première expérience de Homelidays durant ce séjour de 13 jours à Ortonovo. Nous recommandons chaudement cette maison (nous avons logé dans le casale 2 mais le casale 1 est bien aussi) pour qui cherche un endroit calme, proche de superbes villes et de la mer (beaucoup de jolis coins à voir) et de villes magnifiques, et très accueillant. In english : a wonderful stay at casale 2 thanks to a nice house and a very warm welcome from the nice hosts. Try this out yourself ! in italiano : un vero amore di casa, un soggiorno reso davvero molto gradevole grazie alla gentilezza degli ospiti. "

"Situé dans un petit hame...

"Situé dans un petit hameau, à quelques minutes en voiture de la plage, un magnifique et vaste appartement avec sol en pierre. La maison, un ancien moulin à huile, a conservé tout son caractère grâce aux propriétaires qui l'ont décoré et meublé avec goût. Ils ont notamment conservé le pressoire ainsi qu'une partie des installations d'origine, ce qui confère à l'ensemble un charme indéniable. Deux terrasses particulièrement agréables, l'une donnant sur une chambre, l'autre à l'extérieur sur un terrain en palier couvert de végétation. L'endroit est idéal pour des excursions dans la région, elle-même magnifique. L'accueil de Federica et Enrico est très chaleureux (ils vous fourniront volontiers toutes les indications sur l'histoire de la bâtisse). Même avec un enfant en bas âge (c'était notre cas), pas de problème avec les escaliers, il suffit d'être un peu attentif. Une excellente adresse pour un véritable dépaysement. A recommander."
