The house was immaculate! Our family felt right at home. The location was great. We had some problem with the Wlfi but a call to the owner was all it took to get it working again. She was so responsive to everything!! I highly recommend this house and I hope to go back again.

The home felt very welcoming with very home-like amenities and vibe. Beach view was very relaxing as well as the cleanliness.Would recommend to anyone trying to get away with family or kids for a quiet weekend.The octalope was a must have touch.

Spacious, clean and stocked with everything you need!

This is a great place to stay for large groups. We had my Dads 80th birthday here and it was fantastic. The trail to the beach was easy and fun to navigate with our littles! Highly recommend!!

Nice duplex in great location

This is two units with connecting door, each with a complete kitchen and 2 bathrooms. Large deck accessible to both. It was perfect for our large family group. Nice views from the deck and a pleasant stroll through a greenbelt to a fantastic beach. Everything about checkin was easy and the property manager was very responsive.

Wonderful Family Adventure

This is a fabulous home and location for large family groups. It is centrally located to enable many different short trips to local adventure spots. We recommend Cape Kiwanda and wine tasting at Nehalem Winery. There is a lot to do locally as well, and the beach at this home is very quiet and unpopulated. We felt like we were on a private beach! Our family loved the magical forest trail and the hobbit house as well. The arcades are so fun for evening and rainy day activities. We highly recommend!

Family Yearly VACA

Our family loved the dual kitchens, dual washers and dryers, dual game rooms with arcades, hot tub, and the SOOOO beautiful beach; just a short stroll away. I was very impressed with the HOSTS communication with me and keeping us informed at all times. The view of the beach and foliage, from the deck, was awesome. Neighbors were wonderful. We even invited them to the beach with the family.

We really enjoyed our week at Octalope. The games in the garage were a big hit for both the teens & adults. We enjoyed having two kitchens for cooking, & two different upstairs living rooms for various activities. However, the strong bleach smell when we first arrived was a bit much - it took lots of open windows & doors before we could breathe comfortably.

Octalope Fun!!!

Love This Place! Our family had plenty of room. Nice to have the downstairs to entertain the kiddos-they loved the arcades! Love the adventure walking to the beach and the cute playhouse along the way. Cute Retro house with everything we needed. Close to town but not in the busy tourist area.We will be back!!! Our group of 8 adults and 6 children rented both sides of the duplex. It afforded just the right amount of space and separation for everyone. Close location to the beach. All the kids loved the bridge and the path through the woods. We visited Cannon Beach and Seaside and everyone in our party preferred the quiet beach in Rockaway located at our property. It was almost like having our own private beach! Plenty of towels, kitchen items, etc.The hosts were very quick to answer questions. It's not "fancy" but it fit the needs of our group, with all the kids aged eight and under. We would rent the place again.

Beach Stay

Communication was great. Location was great. Beach was great. Ample dishes and cooking equipment. Beds a little squeaky and firm, but okay. Everything looked clean, but we had infants crawling on the floor and it was evident the floor had been swept but not mopped. Kids enjoyed the arcade. Hot tub and connected decks were great. We had an enjoyable time and would come again.

Family Reunion

We had a nice stay at Octalope. Part of us had been there a couple times before. Our only concern was uncomfortable beds. The setup was nice and allowed family privacy.

Paradise Found

Rockaway Beach is one of our favorite locations. The beach size, cleanliness, kind people, and solitude while on the beach is unmatched. The same thing can be said about Octalope. The house was perfect for our family reunion. The two houses/sides allowed us to gather easily when we wanted to be together, but also allowed us to have the younger kids play on one side, and maintain a quiet space too. Immaculately clean and surrounded with A LOT of forest between the house and the beach. The homes around Octalope all have wild space adjoining, so it feels like you are in a acres of ferns, blackberry bushes, flowers, and trees on the way to the beach. If anything, Octalope us under-described. The team at Octalope are greet communicators before and during our stay. We didn’t have any issues, but they reminded us y email of few things to make our stay smoother. I would come back to Octalope in a heartbeat. Thanks for a magical few days in paradise.

Comfortable and Easy Going

This is our second family trip to the Octolope. There's so much room for everyone, and having 4 bathrooms is spectacular! Beautiful view. Great property! We'll be back!
