Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, listing accuracy
This property is not as advertised, cluttered, and cramped, and comes with hidden fees. I do not suggest staying here.1) Advertised as air conditioned. Has a single window unit in one room, rest of house is hot and not air conditioned.2) 45 minute without traffic (or longer if during rush hour) drive to Cannes but advertises a 25 minute drive to Cannes3) The owners leave all of their belongings in drawers and closets which they nail shut so you have no place to unpack your clothing. 4) There is no property guide posted on the listing or when you arrive at the house. I asked multiple times at check in and throughout the stay for the checkout requirements as I've typically seen requirements like "run the dishwasher" or "put towels in the bathroom". Upon receiving no such information, I loaded and ran the dishwasher and washed a load of towels. The owner then charged us a cleaning fee which had not been disclosed as I had not provided my own maid service. Note that I had asked many times what was required for check out and at no point was I told that I needed to serve as their maid. Furthermore, I've never been asked or expected to scrub a rental house in years of using VRBO.5) In addition to charging the hidden cleaning fee the owner sent me disrespectful, menacing messages.
