I was fortunate enough to spend a bit over a month on this fabulous boat. It is very clean, and supplied with a everything you would want including a small boat! The biking and scenery along the canal is spectacular, and the view from the top deck is amazing. There is a charming coffee/deli/gallery and delightful restaurant along the canal and just a few blocks from the boat. There is Hyper U a few kilometers away, and the Med is less than two hours. I can’t wait to come again.

Wind in the willows on the midi canal

We stayed on the little barge for six weeks. During that time we enjoyed the ebb and flow of life on the canal. The lauragais is a beautiful area and near Gardouch there are many beautiful villages. It is also within east striking distance of Gaillac, Revel, the Pays Cathar, Rodez, Bram and Andorra. Then there is all of the history and places underpinning the canal itself. There are some good restaurants (Envie de Mets in Gardouch) and the Hotel de France (Ville Franche de L) offers simple lunches. The Super U market in VF de L supplies everything you need. The barge itself is small but well equipped. The two outside (fore deck and top) offer peaceful eating areas. Patrick provided battery lights that we suspended from the trees for the evening. If you are tall you need to watch your head inside! The space is suitable for 2 adults and two smallish children, We had an extra couple of adults whom we knew well (and got to know better !) who stayed for four nights but longer would have been hard. We had some equipment failures early (fridge and gas) but Patrick was terrific and fixed them up promptly. He was easy to deal with and is a very decent man. Our time on the barge was very enjoyable. I am happy to recommend the barge to others.

Séjour calme reposant une invitation a la rêverie. Un bateau très bien conçu avec l'essentiel .

Un hôte agréable disponible et a l'écoute. A 1/2 heure de TOULOUSE et à 3/4 h de Carcassonne. Balades possible sur le canal du midi à pieds ou a vélo. Un endroit à recommander.

Une parenthese inattendue

Sejour bucolique et sportif, nous avions pris nos vélos et il a suffit de traverser le pont pour etre sur la piste cyclable. Découverte des ecluses et petite balade en barque sur le canal. Des moustiques en journée uniquement mais il y a tout à bord pour ne pas etre importunés. Merci a Patrick pour toutes les attentions. Le bateau contient tout le necessaire. Séjour sur le canal du midi

Nous avons passés un excellent séjour, nous nous y sentions tellement bien que l on est resté une journée de plus. La péniche et son emplacement à quelques minutes de toutes commodites respirent le calme et la tranquillité. Patrick notre hôte est très agréable et réactif, on sent la passion pour cet endroit atypique. Je recommande chaudement !

un havre de paix

Un accueil personnalisé et très agréable du propriétaire. Le bateau est amarré dans un endroit calme et relaxant. Il y a eu peu de passage. C'est extrêmement reposant. Nous avons apprécié les petits déjeuners le matin sur la terrasse ombragée. Le bateau est petit, confortable et bien agencé. Parfait pour notre famille de 4 personnes.

Après avoir été accueillis fort sympathiquement par Patrick, qui nous a très bien expliqué l'hébergement et conseillé sur les environs pour notre séjour, nous avons été ravis et conquis par la pénichette au bord du canal. Cadre magnifique et reposant. Ne pas hésiter à se rendre au bar brasserie à proximité, vraiment très bien tant pour le diner que pour le petit déjeuner. Séjour à refaire sans hésitation .... JPierre

Un Vrai Paradis...

Très très agréable week-end sur ce petit Paradis de Péniche ! Fonctionnelle, très bien équipée et située ! Bar Resto à 2 pas, pistes cyclables en face, départ de rando depuis la péniche... Pour 1 moment hors du temps n'hésitez pas !!! Et merci à Patrick pour son accueil et sa confiance !

Accueil chaleureux et personnalisé, cadre calme et très jolie vue sur le canal du Midi, bateau confortable. Quelques moustiques mais le propriétaire a prévu ce qu'il faut pour y remédier. Merci pour tout !
