The apartment located in a quiet area has been furnished with care and is very bright and cozy.
The well-distributed and practical environments make it very comfortable. The apartment is equipped with air conditioning and free WI-FI connection is available.
The apartment is distributed on two levels.
At the lower level there is the dining room and the living room with TV and radio. In the living room is positioned a double sofa bed.
The dining room has a balcony overlooking the tree-lined street. There is also a four-seat dining table. Both environments are very bright. In a separate room there is a well-equipped kitchen.
At the upstairs there is the independent double bedroom with a comfortable wardrobe. On this level there is still the bathroom with
shower and a small storage room.
The apartment is centrally located. In the immediate vicinity the theater "Massimo" and the theater "Politeama" both reachable on foot in ten minutes. Not far from the apartment, via "Ruggero Settimo", via "Stabile", via "Cavour", ideal destinations for shopping. The two oldest streets in Palermo, via "Vittorio Emanuele" and via "Maqueda", rich in history and charm.
In proximity of the apartment: "The city court", the villa "Filippina"(Place for concerts and events), the church of "San Francesco di Paola", the ancient market "Del Capo".
In the area a wide choice of restaurants, trattorias, pizzerias, pubs, bars, ice-cream parlors.
Nearby bus stop and taxi rank. Easy connection to the train station, the airport, Mondello beach. In the summertime from the nearby piazza "Politeama" with a frequency of 15 minutes buses leave for Mondello (Line 806), travel time 25 minutes.
The apartment does not have a private garage, but for guests arriving by car there is the possibility of parking in a modern multi-storey car park (APCOA), located in piazza "Vittorio Emanuele Orlando" about 350 yards from the apartment. The daily cost for the garage is €.9.
Alternatively, you can park under the house in areas bordered by blue strips. Payment with parking meter working only with coins at the maximum daily cost of €.10.

A nice traditional apartment just outside the centre. We had an issue with water one night, but that was the general area, and not just the property. A call to the owner and they told us the position quickly.

GREAT LOCATION

This is an absolutely beautiful apartment. My only concern with the property was noise after hours. One night it lasted until 3AM in the morning. Ruggero explained that though this apartment is on a lovely quiet tree lined street there are sometimes young people partying into the night.

Great Stay in Palermo

This was a wonderful base for our 3 nights in Palermo. It's on a fairly quiet side street and convenient for the sights we wanted to see. Roberto was very gracious and helpful. When I inquired about taxis for our arrival at the train station, he researched the cost and offered to pick us up himself. He also steered us to the best way of getting to the airport. The apartment is charming; very high ceiling in the main living area. The bedroom and bathroom are in a loft up a steep set of stairs. The kitchen is fully equipped, even a microwave, but strictly a one-person size. Roberto recommended a nearby restaurant (Torquemada) that we visited twice - delicious food & wine, full of locals, not tourists. Definitely 5 stars!

Un vero Gioiello :)

Die Wohnung entspricht genau den Fotos. Sie ist sehr liebevoll und geschmackvoll eingerichtet und wurde sehr sauber übergeben. Es ist alles bis ins kleinste Detail durchdacht und es ist alles vorhanden. Ruggero ist sehr hilfsbereit, so hat er uns einen Parkplatz reserviert und diesen auch bezahlt. Man kann vor dem Haus parken gegen eine Tagesgebühr von € 10 (Sonntag gratis). Die Lage ist sehr gut, Palermo kann zu Fuß erkundet werden. Wir haben den Aufenthalt in der Wohnung von Ruggero sehr genossen. Wenn wir wieder nach Palermo kommen, werden wir sie in jedem Fall wieder nehmen. Danke Ruggero für deine Gastfreundschaft, die wir sehr geschätzt haben! Angelica und Andreas

Siamo stati sette giorni presso la casa del Sig. Ruggeri e che dire... la casa rispecchia completamente la descrizione, pulitissima e completa di tutto. L'appartamento si trova in un palazzo signorile e in ottima posizione per raggiungere a piedi il centro. Il Sig. Ruggeri é una gentilissima persona, molto disponibile; in poche parole come essere a casa. La consiglio vivamente a chiunque.

An oasis in a busy city.

Palermo is a very busy city with so much to see and experience. The apartment is located very close to the centre and within walking distance of the main sights and markets, but situated on a quieter, tree-lined road. It was a very comfortable place to come home too and like a cool oasis of calm. It was also a good base from which to explore the north and west of Sicily. Ruggero was an attentive host, with helpful suggestions regarding car parking and places to eat. He also swiftly sorted out a minor problem we had at the beginning of our stay. We would highly recommend a stay in this apartment.

OTTIMA STRUTTURA

Mi sono recato a Palermo per pochi giorni ed ho avuto la fortuna di prenotare quest'alloggio. Il proprietario si è mostrato gentile ed ospitale dandoci tutte le informazioni in modo corretto ed esaustivo. L'appartamento è stato trovato pulito e in ottima posizione centrale, vicino alla famosa piazza "Politeama" collegata sia con la stupenda spiaggia di Mondello che con tutti i luoghi d'interesse. Sicuramente torneremo sperando di trovare la stessa struttura libera, tre giorni sono pochi per una città così bella!! Consigliato!!!

Appartement très bien agencé, très bien équipé, parfaitement propre et confortable. Situé à une dizaine de minutes à pied du Teatro Massimo, il est très bien placé pour visiter Palerme. L'immeuble est calme, on entend cependant les bruits de la rue dans la journée et en début de soirée. Petits supermarchés et nombreux restaurants à proximité. Mention spéciale à Ruggero, hôte très prévenant, qui est venu nous chercher - et nous a ramenés - à l'arrêt de bus Politeama et nous a permis de profiter de l'appartement jusqu'à 17h30 le dernier jour, notre avion décollant dans la soirée. Grazie di tutto, Ruggero !

Nice apartment in good location

I spent two weeks here while attending the Italian language school right around the corner. This is a nice little apartment on a tree-lined street of a residential neighborhood. It is far enough away from the busier and noisier center of the city but within 5-20 minutes walking distance of all the sites you want to visit. It is a nice respite at the end of the day from the crowds of the tourist areas. It is a 5-10 minute walk to Teatro Massimo and all the little side streets around there that have wonderful restaurants, bars and good shopping. The Cathedral is about a 15-20 minute walk. The Capo Market is 5 minutes away. There is a gourmet grocery less than 5 minutes walk, and a great bakery right around the corner. Some commenters have said this apartment is very quiet and looks over a courtyard. They may have been talking about the apartment next door. The apartment pictured above is on the street side, and while it is a relatively quiet street, it is still a city and you will definitely hear sirens, car alarms, and motorbikes a few times during the night. The owner Ruggero is very kind and hospital. He picked me up from the bus stop at Politeama and brought me back on my return. He checked in by text message from time to time to see if all was well. The apartment was quite comfortable and very clean. I would recommend it to all who are staying in Palermo for several days or longer and who like walking. Palermo is a walking city, so good walking shoes are a must!

Tolle Wohnung in sehr guter Lage

Wir hatten die Wohnung von Ruggero für 5 Tage gebucht und haben neben Palermo auch das Umland von dort erkundet. Die Ausstattung ist sehr gut, die Wohnung blitzsauber und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Internet funktionierte einwandfrei und Läden sowie Restaurants gibt's um jede Ecke. Ruggero ist ein Gentleman als Gastgeber, suuper freundlich und hilfsbereit! Parkplätze gibt es direkt vor der Tür und wir hatten immer Glück das gerade einer frei war als wir wieder zurückkamen. Der Verkehr in Palermo (genau wie in anderen Städten Siziliens) ist etwas hektischer als in Deutschland gewohnt und gerade Sonntagabend kann es schon mal sehr voll werden. Ein kleineres Auto ist hier kein Nachteil. Wenn wir wieder mal nach Palermo kommen werden wir in jedem Fall wieder bei Ruggero einkehren - absolute Empfehlung!

Exactly as expected, but more so

We were only in Palermo for a short stay yet this was the perfect location and an extremely comfortable apartment. Ruggero was so helpful, meeting us off the airport bus even though we arrived on a late flight and the bus was diverted because of that day's Papal visit - and then on departure he helped us to the ferry terminal for our overnight journey to Naples. It was exactly the break we were hoping for. A lovely introduction to Palermo. I would recommend Palermo and this apartment. We will be returning!

Great vacation rental

Comfortable, well-appointed, nicely decorated two floor apartment in a quiet, conveniently located part of Palermo. Air conditioned. Comfortable bed, functional kitchen. Very responsive and welcoming host dealt with WiFi problems promptly. Ruggero picked us up when we got off the airport bus and even brought us fresh biscotti during our stay. I heartily recommend the apartment.

A spacious, modern and clean flat set on a historical quarter of Palermo

We enjoyed very much for our stay of four nights at this flat. The location is very convenient, and we walked to all the tourists attractions every day, including the harbour. Thanks for Ruggero’s hospitality as he picked and dropped us off at the bus station which made our journey much easier. Definitely would like to stay at this flat again when we are back to Palermo next time.

Comfortable and attractive

On a side street in the Capo quarter of Palermo, this well furnished and comfortable apartment is ideal for one or two visitors. The kitchen is equipped well enough for us to cook for ourselves with resources from the nearby Mercato di Capo. The cathedral is a 20 minutes walk, as is the transport hub of Politeama square. Thanks to Ruggero's courtesy--he drove us and our luggage to the airport bus--our stay in Palermo was delightful from beginning to end.

Nice Apartment Great Host

This wonderful apartment is perfectly located in Palermo; walking distance to the central attractions but far enough away from the crowds to enjoy the city. The owner, Ruggero, went out of his way to help us get settled. After meeting us at the center of Palermo, Politeama Square, he drove us to the apartments and made us feel at home. The apartment is nicely furnished and includes a kitchen, should you wish to cook (who would in Palermo), and a washing machine. It is nicely decorated and very comfortable. Typical of Italian homes, the bathroom, which is small, was very clean as is the rest of the apartment. Wi-Fi is included. I could live in this apartment! There are several very good restaurants close by plus an excellent "bar" for morning coffee and pastries. You can easily walk to attractions such as Teatro Massimo, The Cathedral of Palermo, the Pretoria Fountain, and the Quattro Canti (four corners). A cab ride away is the Cathedral of Monreale, which is famous for combining three styles of architecture, Byzantine, Islamic and Roman. The centerpiece of the cathedral is the mosaic of Christ, which is huge (the two fingers on his right hand are nearly two meters long). A must see while in Palermo. The people living and working in the area of the apartment were extremely warm, friendly and helpful to non-Italian speaking visitors. I hope to go back and visit again and would certainly stay in this apartment the next time.

Tutto perfetto.

Ottima esperienza. L’appartamento é molto accogliente, curato in ogni dettaglio, pulito e strutturato benissimo. Comodo ai servizi e ad un passo dal Teatro Massimo, dal centro storico, dal Mercato del Capo e dalla piazza Politeama. Il signor Ruggero é un ospite perfetto, un vero signore di altri tempi.
