The site of the Gallo-Roman theater was discovered in 1865 by Jean Gontier, who undertakes excavations on his own money, and successfully fights to acquire control of land and obtain the classification as historical monuments by decree of 23 December 18811 . At first, only a small part of the theater, named by the inhabitants of the area, is known as the Fades Castle (fairy castle) 2. But this theater, once discovered, deteriorates rapidly, and Gontier tries in vain to buy it back by the State, the Department and the Archaeological and Historical Society of the Charente.

Agréable séjour chez Thierry. Le gîte situé dans un hameau au calme est confortable et ne manque de rien, la petite cour fermée est parfaite quand on vient avec des chiens. La région est belle et les randonnées sont nombreuses

La maison est située dans un petit village, il y a un lac plus bas à 5mn à pieds, des pâturages, c'est très reposant, le supermarché est à 7km ainsi que la ville où il y a très peu de magasins.Pour des vacances reposantes c'est très appréciable.Aucun bruit a part quelques voitures où tracteur et surtout les petits oiseaux Merci à Mr Thierry pour son hospitalité et sa gentillesse il est à l'écoute, il venait nous voir pour parler voir si tout allait bien.La maison est très propre il y a le nécessaire, on peut manger dehors il y a table banc et barbecue.Nous avons visité des cascades, volcan.Si vous voulez des vacances à la campagne nous vous recommandons vivement de venir chez Mr Thierry.

Lieu calme, de jolies balades aux alentours, une petite maison simple et bien aménagée. Thierry est accueillant et bienveillant. Il nous a conseillé sur les endroits à visiter. Merci pour ce petit havre de paix, une semaine c'est bien trop court, nous serions restés avec plaisir !

Séjour inoubliable

Vacances idéales.. Tout était parfait. Depuis l accueil par Thierry, la location en elle même et de par sa situation(méandre de Queuille, temple bouddhiste, vélo rail des Fades,Gouttières et ses chats, château Rocher....) beaucoup de balades à faire alentours. Et la gentillesse des gens des bouchauds.

Très belle vacances

Un coin très calme pour se reposer, une population super sympathique, la location super bien agencée avec un propriétaire très très gentil et à vous guider de ce qu il y a a voir, car beaucoup de visite de très beaux sites avec de magnifiques paysages ! et bien sûr ne pas oublier d aller visiter le VULCANIA , vous ne le regretterez pas.

Découverte de l'Auvergne

Gîte dans un hameau où les personnes rencontrées sont particulièrement accueillantes (propriétaire du gîte,le tourneur sur bois : passionné et passionnant,et les gens du village qui n'hésitent pas à nous renseigner.Endroit bien situé pour randonner et visiter la région Bref ,nous avons passé de très bonnes vacances

Niet gevonden, eigenaar reageert niet op telefoon.

Niet geweest, ik had het voor 4 dagen geboekt. 's Middags vroeg aangekomen. Huis is niet te vinden. Niemand kent 't huis of eigenaar. Eigenaar gebeld en antwoordapparaat ingesproken. 's Avonds nog geen reaktie en met veel moeite(i.v.m. hond) een hotel gevonden. Volgende ochtend nog geen reaktie. Dus maar doorgereden richting Spanje waar het huis staat waar ik na die eerste 4 dagen zou verblijven. Ondertussen vrienden gebeld iets voor 3 nachten richting Spaanse grens te zoeken. Die hebben een hele leuke chambre gevonden. De eigenaar belde die 2e dag pas na 14 uur op. Blijkbaar moet ik dingen beoordelen die ik niet kan beoordelen want ik ben in 't huis, als het al bestaat niet geweest. Dus maar enkele sterretjes gegeven. En 1 volwassen persoon ingevuld.

Petite échappée pascale

petit nid sympathique ou rien ne manque. Le propriétaire gentil et aux petits soins. Une literie impeccable. Vraiment un endroit sympa,malgré le temps qui n'était pas avec nous,mais de belles promenades tout de même. Tout ce qu'il faut pour se ressourcer.

Bien pour quelques jours

Petit hameau au calme et facile d’accès. Petit jardin agréable. Dans la maison manque néanmoins un peu de vaisselle; 1 seul verre à vin et 1 seule grande tasse à café.Pas vu le lave linge ... Bien pour quelques jours et à 2 personnes, frigo trop petit.
