• Chef’s kitchen! Quartz countertops, beverage area with mini fridge, Keurig and standard coffee pot. Two full-size ovens, gas range, dishwasher. Stocked with bakeware to serve everyone.

We recently stayed at this property on Pickwick Lake for a combined guys’ trip and a hangout for my son and his friends, and it exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this place was designed for making memories.The layout is absolutely perfect for groups. There was plenty of space for everyone to spread out comfortably, and the large entertainment area inside was a huge hit. Being able to relax, watch TV, and play pool all in the same space after a long day on the lake was exactly what we needed.Outside is where this place really shines. The back porch is fantastic for grilling and hanging out—we cooked pork chops one evening and just soaked in the atmosphere. The fire pit area quickly became our nightly gathering spot, where we spent hours talking, laughing, and just enjoying the moment.Down by the water, the boathouse setup was ideal. We rented a boat and had easy access to the lake, which made the whole experience seamless. The swings near the water were a big hit with the teenage boys—they spent a ton of time down there just having fun and being kids.Overall, this place delivered on every level: comfort, entertainment, and location. It created the perfect environment for bonding, relaxing, and making unforgettable memories. We had an incredible time and would absolutely come back.Five stars all the way.

We had a wonderful time at this property. It was beautiful on the back deck and at the fire pit area. We had easy access to the lake. Everyone was comfortable and we had everything we needed during our stay. I would come back again and I would definitely recommend to other families looking for a special spot in the Pickwick area.

Family Vacation at Pickwick

I would highly recommend this cabin. It was big enough for our whole family, 10 people and had a swing for the little ones. The kitchen and baths seem to be newly remodeled. The backyard is magically with the fire pit perfect for s'mores and catching fire flies. We also enjoyed the boathouse. This property truly has something for everyone. 10 out of 10!

This property is very clean and a great layout with plenty of bedrooms and living areas. The kids loved the pool table and the big deck is a great spot to relax after a long day on the lake. The covered boat slip is perfect for your fishing boat and pontoon.

We had another great time at YCL with family and friends. Stayed for 4 nights and had everything we needed for adults and young kids. Getaway with the Feel of Home

This was our 3rd stay at Yellow Creek Lodge. I will always choose this home whenever we visit Pickwick Lake. It is equipped with everything you would find in your own home and the spacious layout is all on one level. It is not a new, modern home; however, the kitchen and one of the bathrooms has been very tastefully remodeled. Lots of large windows provide beautiful views of the secluded, wooded property. The appeal of this home is its rustic features, spaciousness, and location. It also has a large deck which accommodates a large group and a fire pit below with adirondack chairs surrounding it!

This lake house is very nice. The kitchen is well stocked with about anything you might need to prepare a meal. The boat house accommodated both our boats with room to spare. Nice paved driveway going down to the boat dock for loading and unloading. We enjoyed the firepit and the wood is provided! There were 10 of us in our group and the cabin accommodated all of us very nicely. The owners were great to work with and answer you very quickly with any questions you might have. The location is great. Close to the boat ramp and close to the store for any last minute items you might need.

Beautiful property inside and out. Spacious and tucked away boathouse at the back of cove keeps rough waters from rocking stored boats. For fishing boats when stored in boathouse the electrical outlets are on a 60 minute timer so if out for a full day and batteries need a good charge you will have to go back down once or twice to activate but not a crazy hassle. Paved road down from house to the boathouse was very nice especially with any rainy days. Inside is spacious and very well laid out. I would recommend this place for anyone coming to fish or boat on Pickwick Lake.

House is not fancy but very, very efficient for large groups. Our family felt at home with five bedrooms to sleep five different families. The fire pit was great for hotdog roast our first night. The kitchen worked well for breakfast and snack but I was thankful we had not planned to have our Thanksgiving meal there. Although there are two ovens, they are older and smaller. The house has been maintained well. VERY clean. I would recommend taking additional towels if you are staying for a week. If we were back in the area we would look to use again.

Large Family Fun

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this property near Shiloh National Park for a family reunion, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the charming surroundings and the plethora of activities available on-site. The property was perfect for our large group, with plenty of space for everyone to spread out and relax. The kids had a blast on the swing set, while the adults enjoyed the peacefulness of the nearby fishing spot. We spent our days fishing, laughing, and enjoying the beautiful outdoors. One of the highlights of our stay was the evening bonfire. Gathered around the fire, we roasted marshmallows, shared stories, and created lasting memories under the starlit sky. The grill was another fantastic feature, allowing us to cook up delicious meals and dine al fresco. The proximity to Shiloh National Park was a huge bonus. We took a day trip to explore the historic battlefield, which added an educational and enriching dimension to our reunion. Overall, this VRBO property was the perfect setting for our family reunion. The amenities, location, and overall ambiance made for a truly special and enjoyable stay. We can't wait to return!

We are an active family who enjoy the outdoors. As our family grew, we realized the costs of travelling combined with limited time made it a challenge to get far from home. We opted to find a happy-lake cabin within an easy drive from our home.

Why they chose this property

We chose Yellow Creek Lodge because of the level (relative to others) lot, proximity to the water, enclosed double boathouse, 5 acres and the interior of the cabin has the charm of 'old Pickwick'. The level interior of the cabin along with the five bedrooms and four full baths give everyone easy access and plenty of space.

What makes this property unique

Vintage Pickwick. Enclosed double boathouse. Drive-able to the boathouse, but easier to walk. No steps or stairs inside the cabin. Screened and lighted grill house. 5 acres. Three swings. Outdoor, simple fire pit (wood provided). In the winter, the creek running along the property is great for floating boats or exploring. Less than 2 miles to groceries, restaurants, marinas and public boat ramp.
