Perfect for a relaxing stay

Two couples stayed for a week. Boys fished, girls beached and shopped. Rented bikes were fun to get around. Jekyll Island had so much to see and do. The screen porch was a perfect place to relax after being busy.

Great experience

We enjoyed our visit to Jekyll Island and our stay at Artist Alcove. When we were not out exploring the island, we were comforted by the fireplace. The artwork on display inspired us to create are own unique experience. The large kitchen table gave us plenty of room for our drawing materials and lunch too. Within a short walk, we were able to catch the sunrise most mornings. We wanted more dish towels, there was only one provided.

Never Again

This home needs a complete overhaul. Dirty spotted rugs, broken blinds, dirty worn out uncomfortable furniture, mold in master bathroom by the ceiling, dirty silverware and dishes, sticky dining room table, doors and baseboards all need painting, and the roaches...oh my! I could go on and on. Do NOT stay here!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Group of 6 for a Christmas weekend getaway. Home was comfortable and and adequate for our group. Very clean and nice appliances. Electric fireplace was an added bonus. Linens are provided, but I recommend bringing extra kitchen towels and hand soap for the bathrooms. The beach is a short walk across the street with easy access. I would stay here again, it's lovely.

Dogs & Family Retreat November 2023

This locale is a treasure that lies in waiting for those eager to explore the Jekyll Island experience. Clean fresh and cozy and located literally next to the bike path that circumnavigates the island in a sweet 17 mile loop along the beach and interior ecosystems. Everything you need to make this stay your own is waiting at the Artists Alcove…along with a lot of sweet original artwork by the owners adorning a few of the walls. Our dogs loved the place but went a little spastic when the herd of 14 deer went traipsing across the backyard. Lol. The deer made their presence known everyday we were there. Another bonus to the amenities you could say. So yes I highly recommend and will not stop blathering over this place. Peace out!!!

We stayed at Artist's Alcove and had a lovely time. The property was clean and convenient to the beach as well as Tortuga Jack's. We rented this with a few friends of mine and all agree it was a wonderful experience. Jekyll Island has much to offer - biking, fishing, nature, kayaking. Unfortunately, my wife broke her wrist on Cumberland Island and we were limited in our activities. We will definitely return to Jekyll again next year.
