Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Mellow Yellow was one of the few properties that was vacant for a shorter stay over Memorial Day weekend. No one was booked for the week before or after us, which left me hesitant to book because I was afraid that something was wrong with the property. Needless to say, I went ahead and booked and boy am I glad we did. This is the perfect rental for a small family. The master bath is pretty small for adults and the kitchen stove could use an update, but those are minor issues and still leaves this property head and shoulders above many others on the island.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house is great, updated and a great location. This was our second time in this house and we already booked it for next year. The master bathroom is very small, you have to go in all the way in order to open the shower door to get in but there is plenty of room in the shower and water pressure is great. It does leak in the floor, we put a hand towel on the inside at the base of where the door opens and that helps keep water from soaking the bathroom floor. That would be the only negative about this house. Everything else is wonderful. Kitchen is well stocked, living room furniture is comfortable and everyone has someone to sit. Overall a super great house, we love it.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice updated house and was ready early! Newer bathrooms and kitchen! Clean hardwoods throughout. Kitchen very well stocked and the grill on the back patio was awesome addition. We cooked a lot. Shower the the patio for showering after beach. Walk to the beach was very short. Stairs of course but very nice. Warning no beach at hightide but cool to stand on the boardwalk and watch for dolphins. Great location! We biked the whole north end of the island. Cutting through the island to the marsh side, up to the pier and driftwood beach, then to the middle of the island to the town of sorts. Fished right there on the beach at low tide and caught some rays. Guys also played a few rounds of gulf while we headed over to St. Simons for some shopping. All and all we have an excellent trip!!! 10 out of 10!

We had a wonderful time at Mellow Yellow. Bea Nice little home. The tides were our only challenges and when we could do beach time without driving somewhere. We encountered beautiful sunsets and even saw a rainbow. Bathroom for my parents was way to small for them to be able to move around.

Reviewer Comments: I have grown up on this beach (around 20 years) when I was younger, but my husband had never been able to visit for a true family vacation. We really had a great time at Mellow Yellow. Just disappointed in a couple of things.. I emailed the rental company (before we came down with a couple of questions) so I ended up calling to get the answers, then while at the home I emailed with photos of 2 problems we occurred (1, the towel rod in the 1st bathroom had been knocked down prior to our arrival and 2, the filter on the air handler needed to be replaced badly) we never heard back (I also sent photos) so we went and picked a filter up and changed it. I mentioned it when we checked out but nothing was said about the emails and no thank you for changing it from the gentleman I turned keys in to. There was also a basket of dirty linens in the screened in porch that was left I'm guessing from the cleaning company.. We absolutely hate that the home didnt have beach access and disappointed in just how bad it has gotten all the way down with the rocks.

We did have to contact the Jekyll Realty office for a couple of very minor things but they responded right away and took care of things. They were respectful and professional. We loved how private and quiet the island was and that we were so close to the beach. Can’t wait to visit again soon!

I was not comfortable having my elderly Mom use it. Beds had quite hard mattresses. Kitchen was very well equipped, nice to use. No cleaning products available at all, bring some if you plan on cooking. Had sugar ants, no bait available on island. Kinda felt these should be listed in ad so you can bring them. Overall, a very peaceful and nice home!

We have come to Jekyll Island many times and love our visit each time, whether we stay in a hotel or rent a house. This time we came with dear friends and family and stayed at Mellow Yellow. It is a comfortable home for 3 couples and we loved the proximity to the beach and the historic district.
