Joe and his family are welcoming and friendly. The accommodations are lovely and in a great location. The town is quiet and still has EVERYTHING you could want- especially magical food. We will be coming back 10 out of 10 stars.
This property is a roomy one bedroom unit within a home. The kitchen is large well equipted. The unit was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hosts were very kind and helpful. Location was convenient for visiting Pompeii and exploring the Amalfi Coast.
The property was beautiful and well taken care of. The owner was easy to reach and very responsive. While there was no AC, there were fans and the house stayed cool
Could not have asked for a better host. Very helpful and always available. Took us for a tour of the sites shortly after arriving. Two enthusiastic thumbs up…way up !

We loved ourstay here!
Just a short walk up from Mugnano del Cardinale, this rental has many options up to 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, and full kitchen. Much quieter here with a gated yard for the kids who were graciously invited to an afternoon art/music class by our host Giovanni. which they thoroughly enjoyed. Although we did not eat here as we were visiting family, the kitchen was well appointed and the home very clean. This was the perfect place for us. Thanks for a great stay!

A comfortable, clean, friendly home away from home
I loved staying in this quiet, safe, clean, friendly apartment. It was exactly where I needed to be to walk to my destinations easily and safely. I had full use of a shared kitchen and my own bathroom. The owners were always so helpful. Wonderful attractions were within an hour away by car or train. I hope to return next year, and I have already recommended it to friends.
Danke!!
Great hosts and we got the true taste of Italy, which is what we were looking for

Charming and quiet apartment
Everything about Villa Palmira is so wonderful. The Villa is located about 30 minutes from Naples and sits in the middle of the region of Irpinia. The central location is perfectly situated for visiting many places around southern Italy. The Villa itself is clearn, very well equipped and sits in the small village of Quadrelle, the epitome of a quanit Italia village. You can walk to the little town center in about 10 minutes and there are several yummy pizzerias very close by. I would recommend renting a car so you have the opportunity to visit the myriad of amazing sights in the area, for example, Taurasi, Montemiletto, Avellino, Baiano, Pieradefusi and Paternolopi to enjoy the stunning views and of course taste the amazing wine and food of Campania.
Giovanni and his parents are the most charming and generous hosts. They offer many services such as a ride from Naples airport and geneaology expertise. I was a solo traveler doing research on my family roots, and I always felt safe and learned a great deal about my ancestors. Giovanni and his parents live in the home just above, and were always available for questions and travel advice. There is a well equipped kitchen in case you like to cook as well as a large bedroom with comfy bed and lots of light and fresh air. I recommend this villa very highly and can't wait to return!

Our lovely stay- the most gracious "Villa Palmira"
We enjoyed our stay in Avelino/Naples area in large part due to the delightful, 2-bedroom, 2-bathe apartment with a very large kitchen/dining-great room, all very clean and well-appointed in the Villa Palmira of our host and his lovely wife.
Most of all, in addition to the very comfortable and charming apartment our host and his family acquainted us with local amenities, routes to take--basically all necessities for ease in getting around--all in English! Our host and his family went above and beyond, inviting us to the Chestnut Festival for a taste of the spirit of Avelino. I will definitely return here and highly recommend Villa Palmira to relatives and friends--indeed already have done so!

Above and beyond
This property was everything that one could ask for! The listing is completely accurate, well maintained and the owners really know how to make one feel at home. The owners are extremely generous and always willing to help with whatever is needed. Being that this was my first time traveling to Italy I had a general idea on what I wanted to experience there and the owners were helpful to make the trip a memorable one by giving some input on possible trips each day we were there. Its safe to say without the exceptional hospitality this trip would not have been as great as it was.

Perfet Accommodation in Southern Italy
For those of you planning a trip to the Provinces of Naples or Avellino I highly recommend the De Simone residence in Quadrelle (AV). As advertised, this charming well kept villa complete with an abundance of fruit trees at your disposal and quick access to the Autostrada A16 (Napoli-Bari) makes it the perfect location and is well worth the price. Our gracious hosts were most helpful in recommending local points of interests, local restaurants, directions along with ferry and other transportation schedules. For those of you seeking long lost relatives in the area your hosts can also provide a genealogy service to assist you. Our experience was most comfortable, memorable and we are looking forward to returning to the De Simone residence in Quadrelle.

Avellino in June
The DeSimone are wonderful, amazing people, their son Giovanni was kind enough to act as our personal guide throughout the entire week of our say. The apartment is clean and centrally located to all kinds of attractions. We had an authentic italian home cooked meal by Rina, and boy what a cook and baker she is. I hightly recommend staying at the DeSimone apartment, and look forward to returning in the future.

A great stay in Quadrelle
The very comfortable and clean first floor apartment was the perfect place for us to stay for the first week of our trip. Anything you might need can be found within walking distance - markets, restaurants, coffee bars, etc. Joe and his family are wonderful hosts, and provided invaluable help in learning the area and helping us get around. We would definitely stay here again, and will recommend it to family and friends.

Wonderful stay
This apartment is a great find in the area. A couple kilometers from the Autostrada and maybe a 45 minute drive to Salerno (ferry to Amalfi), Naples, Pompeii. Joe and his family were welcoming and accommodating. Joe was very generous with his time, explaining many aspects of life/culture in Italy, and suggesting places we might want to visit. The apartment was spotless, and cool even in the heat of the day in August. The kitchen was well-equipped. There is a beautiful shady yard right outside the door where we would sit or eat in the cool of the evenings. There are grocery stores, good restaurants, and a pharmacy within walking distance. We were sad to leave at the end of the week.

Holidaying in Naples
We have found most Italians kind and helpful, none more so than Joe de Simone and his family. We are indebted to them for making our stay so enjoyable. Joe's help in resolving a problem with our car on a Saturday morning (by way of an introduction to his Motor Repairers) certainly went beyond the call of duty.
Quadrelle is conveniently situated for all the main tourist attractions and the easy access to the autostradas is a bonus. In addition to the historical sites, the shopping centre in Nola - the Vulcan Buona - is well worth visiting. Joe will show you how to get there.
The apartment is spacious: the shower in the main bathroom is excellent and the beds are pretty good too.
Thanks again to Joe, Rina, Giovanni, Marica and Dario for their hospitality.

Quadrelle a great place to stay in S. Italy
I just returned from a visit of Southern Italy in the State of Campania on November 14 2012. We stayed in a Beautiful apartment in a quaint little town called Quadrelle in the province of Avellino. Quadrelle is right off an exit from the A16 autostada which makes it a very convenient location to stay. From there it was an easy drive to Naples, Pompeii and Sorrento but I liked it most because it was an easy drive to the little villages in the mountains of Avellino where all my family originated from. I even walked to a bus stop to take a bus to Avellino then transferred to another bus to take me to the mountain villages of my family. While I was taking the bus my friends were touring by car in the Naples area. At night we would meet up at our apartment in Quadrelle and walk to neighborhood restaurants which there are many good ones. My friends and I felt perfectly safe walking around the streets of Quadrelle day or night. We met several residents of Quadrelle; all were very pleasant and helpful. Everything we needed was in walking distance from our apartment, banks, post office, grocery stores, fish markets, department stores and Church.
The apartment is a spacious clean two bedrooms and two bathrooms unit with a big kitchen and sitting room. The kitchen is equipped with plenty of pans, dishes, glasses and other utensils. The apartment is the first floor of a two family house. Joe de Simone and his family live on the second floor. Joe and his family were excellent neighbors and landlords. Joe being born and raised in New Jersey from Italian parents was an excellent source of information. We could ask Joe questions about traveling in Italy that a native born Italian may not understand because of the differences in our two cultures. Joe also knows a lot about Italian Genealogy and how to research data in various villages. Joe does this as a side profession but had no problems giving us pointers as we traveled to various villages to do our own research. I highly recommend Joe’s apartment if you are planning a trip to the various provinces of the Campania region in the Naples vicinity. Even if this is your first trip to Italy I would recommend renting a car and driving to Quadrelle to explore Southern Italy on your own opposed to signing up for some package tour of the region. We flew into Rome and it was only a two and a half to three hour drive to Quadrelle. From Naples it would be around 30 minutes. To sum it up I would recommend this place to anyone.
