A lovely, beachfront get-away from where one can comfortably relax, eat and sleep, when not enjoying the gorgeous beach and pool and all that ixtapa has to offer. The condo is located on the 9th floor and has a spectacular view of the ocean, including an unforgettable sunset you will never forget. The magnificent terrace has a confortable dinning table for 8 to spend great hours and enjoy fantastic meals. We also have a nice couch so you can enjoy the outside weather or simply take a nap. The living room consists of a cozy sitting area and entertainment unit that includes cable television & DVD player. The fully equipped kitchen features a dining bar for seven and a dinning table for 6.
The master bedroom also have a fantastic view of the ocean with a king size bed and a fully equipped bathroom with shower and tub. Also the condo has two additional bedrooms with 2 FULL BEDS, and one elevated bed each and a central bathroom fully equipped with shower.
The condo also includes central air and secure wireless internet. It is extremely clean and comes complete with all amenities that you may need such as towels, beach towels, bedding. The condo is always maintained and kept with the guest in mind.

This beautifully decorated condo is located in the monarca, a meticulously maintained, five star exclusive condominium complex that is very private and situated on the best part of el palmar beach away from the noisy hotel zone. The monarca is one of the smallest condominium complexes on the beach and therefore offers peace and quiet around the pool and on the beach. One never has to reserve a lounge chair or a spot by the pool. There is always plenty of room and lounge chairs for all guests to relax and enjoy. The monarca includes fabulous pools and pool area, large sunbathing terrace overlooking the ocean, private palm fringed beach area, and plenty of shade under umbrellas or natural palm trees. Other amenities include, an excellent and very affordable beachside restaurant and bar, secure wireless internet access from condo and poolside, tennis courts, parking and 24 hr. Security. The monarca is an easy and quick 10 minute walk or 5 minute bus ride into downtown ixtapa for all your dining and shopping experiences. The golf course is right across the street. In addition, the marina is only steps away where one can also find superb restaurants and bars. Perfect for an evening stroll.

This three bedroom condo is a very affordable option with ocean views that gets you right on the beach without spending a fortune. It gets you into the ultra exclusive monarca complex without expensive oceanfront prices.

Beautiful complex

My family of 5 loved our week in Ixtapa. Monarca Ixtapa is a beautiful, relaxing place. We enjoyed walking the beach, eating breakfast and lunch at La Pergola (onsite restaurant next to the pool and beach) and heading out to Ixtapa or Zihuat for dinner. We once even saw humpback whales playing in the ocean from our table at La Pergola! I would highly recommend this option for anybody looking for a quiet, relaxing vacation.

Immaculate and so convenient

Our first stay at Principe but not our first stay in the area. We were greeted warmly. No problems at all. The unit was immaculate. The views of the Pacific are astounding. We highly recommend this unit. Felt safe our entire time there.

Fantastic 3 bedroom condo!!

Absolutely loved the 3 bedroom condo!! The inside space is very spacious, perfect for a big family!! It’s a corner unit so 2 of the bedrooms have their own side balcony and the main bedroom with ensuite opens onto the front balcony. The front balcony is massive with a breathtaking views!! The pool and beach area are just wonderful!! I highly recommend this condo!!!! On a side note the complex has a lot of rules, but I guess that’s how it goes

Absolutely Perfect!

Beautiful condo with an amazing view! We all loved our stay here. The condo was perfect as was the pool area. Not once did we go without a chair. This is our 11th trip to Ixtapa stayed 3 yrs in resorts 7 yrs at another condo and this was the best stay of all. Would definitely recommend!

El condominio Monarca es un paraíso. La vista, la recepción, la zona de alberca y los servicios en la zona de la playa son excelentes. El departamento tiene muy buena vista y tiene una distribución y mobiliario adecuados. Sin embargo, requiere de un mantenimiento en varias áreas: el baño principal despide olores, el baño compartido tiene una seria fuga de la regadera hacia el baño. La lavadora de trastes es muy ruidosa y la cafetera tiene una fuga. La cocina está bien equipada con implementos como sartenes, cacerolas y vajilla, pero todos los vasos y copas son de plástico. En lo que se refiere a los servicios, no se nos proporcionó la limpieza prometida a la mitad de nuestra estancia; tampoco se suministró papel de baño suficiente (dos rollos para 6 personas en 9 noches de estancia).

Four of us stayed in Juan's unit #5. It was so well appointed, and well equipped kitchen. Lovely touch arriving to a bottle of wine and tin of cookies! Photo's do it justice, and very comfy beds!

Nice location but condo needs some care

Location is excellent, the view from the apartment is amazing. The condo could use a refresh, some of the appliances seem really old (the dishwasher sounds like an airplane taking off... for an hour), some of the metal objects (trash cans, chairs) are rusting due to the salt in the water. Manager very responsive to emails and always looking to accommodate.

Awesome Holiday

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Juan’s condo for 2 weeks . The condo was very spacious and well equipped. I was pleasantly surprised to find that all 3 bedrooms had a lanai with a view! The open air balcony was our favourite space both to dine and enjoy family time. The view of the ocean, pool area, and beach was breathtaking. The Monarca’s staff was friendly and very efficient. The grounds and pool area were immaculate. The restaurant was also convenient and affordable . We enjoyed many meals there . The proximity to the beach was amazing, and there were always beach chairs available. Juan was fabulous as a host. He quickly answered any emails sent to him. He was a 5 star host for sure. The only concern was the cleanliness of the condo. The bathrooms could use a deep clean. As well, a binder with general condo information would be helpful for future guests. We will definitely be staying at the Monarca in the future!

Beautiful Complex, Great Condo

Out of all the condos my family has rented in Ixtapa, we all decided that we liked the Monarca the best. The property is beautifully kept, the pool area is spacious, and the complex is very quiet. The condo was well equipped and suited our needs perfectly. Highlight is definitely the huge patio and view. We’d gladly return.

Room for all the family

My wife and I booked unit 9-5 at the Monarca condominium for an extended winter vacation for ourselves, as well as for a mini family reunion. The condominium was spacious and well supplied. It afforded beautiful views of the Monarca pool area, a section of Playa El Palmar, the ocean and some spectacular offshore islands. The staff at the Monarca is very polite and helpful. My wife and I stayed in the master bedroom. The king size bed was very comfortable. For part of our stay, some of our family joined us. Our son, daughter-in-law and 21-month-old granddaughter stayed in one of the secondary bedrooms. Our daughter and son-in-law stayed in the other bedroom. The condominium was spacious enough to house us all. It was essential to have the extra rooms, extra beds and the second bath. We were all able to cook in the well-supplied kitchen and to dine together on the open-air balcony. One nice feature was that there were three thermostat controls for the condominium air conditioning systems. That was a great advantage, since almost everyone could choose his or her desired sleeping temperatures. We all enjoyed the Monarca's beach and pool areas. There were lounge chairs and pads, tables and chairs provided and friendly attendants watched over the area. The pool and beach areas are well maintained, and meticulously clean. Juan, our Property Owner, provided a weekly cleaning service, which we greatly appreciated. We had a few minor issues with non-functioning lights etc. and many general operational questions. We contacted Juan and he responded quickly and helped us work through our queries. Juan asked the Monarca maintenance staff to look at the lights. He then supplied the new lightbulbs and directed the maintenance man to make sure that everything worked properly. He also provided a new drying rack for our wet clothes and towels. A shade on the balcony for afternoon sun, protection would have made early evening dining on the balcony more enjoyable. Also, the top of the glass wall on the balcony railing is about 3.5 feet high and so we watched our toddler carefully and made sure that no chairs were close to the wall, which she might access. Juan had advised us of this situation long before our arrival. Juan made our stay very pleasant, easy and enjoyable. As an owner, he earns a 5-star rating! This is a difficult climate for upkeep and maintenance. The condominium fell a little short of perfect. Yet, thanks to Juan, we all enjoyed a perfect stay!

There were two couples of us and plenty of room. Our one friend was unable to come because of health reasons but there would have been a third bedroom for him. Very roomy with a fantastic lani overlooking the pool and ocean. Good air conditioning and a wonderful breeze on the lani. The beach is beautiful and a good location for restaurants. A rather odd set up for pool tables and chairs. We were assigned a table and chairs in the sand as there were none available around the pool. We were there for 10 days. Very good spot.

Excellent location and a great condo!

This was our first time in Ixtapa and at the Monarca, and we loved it! The condo was very spacious, nice and clean, and has everything you’ll need for a comfortable stay. The property is immaculate and the condo is very nice The pools are beautiful and never too busy. The location right on the beach and the stunning view from the condo is breathtaking! The balcony is large and has a nice big table for 6, we used it mostly for breakfast in the morning and playing cards with a drink in the evening, it’s extremely relaxing with the sound of the waves breaking a few hundred feet away. The building security is also impressive, the guards seem to get to know who you are very fast and you are free to come and go on the property without carrying ID or a bracelet. Our good friends dropped by the property unannounced while we were out, security politely denied them access, later in the week our friends came to visit again and security phoned us in the condo for permission, very good security! The main gate guard was very freindly and always wished us a good day or evening as he lifted the gate for us. Overall our whole family really enjoyed staying here, and our host Juan was helpful and accommodating, we would definitely return to this property and this condo. Thank you Juan!

Nice condo, plenty of room for grand parents and our daughters young family. Beautiful view. Saw a turtle lay eggs on the beach, dolphins, a whale and lots of birds ( and iguanas!). The pool was perfect for adults and down to the 3 year old. Thanks for the nice stay!

We had our 2 adult kids and grandson stay with us for a week at Monarca. It was a perfect place to stay for 3 couples ad a kid. The apartment is spacious and sleeps at least 8. Pluses are Large balcony with great views, well stocked kitchen, beautiful pool, grounds, beach, restaurant with service, location near Ixtapa center, nice and clean building, quiet and not crowded. We had a great time and would return here again.
