Perfect location

Our family enjoyed our week vacation in this great apartment. The apartment is in the BEST location for anyone waiting to visit all the tourist attractions. We mostly walked, but the metro is very close by. There are tons of restaurants and quick markets in the area. Commution was great ! Would highly recommended it. Beautiful view of Puerta del Sol from the balcony. Our family enjoyed the balcony.

A great space in a wonderful neighborhood.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The apartment is clean, comfortable and roomy. Our only criticism is that we thought that the main bedroom had a king bed and it was only a double.

We had a great time. Super location in the heart of the city. Easy access to Sol tube station and to the tennis open. Well furnished appartment and a great sunny balcony for pre dinner drinks etc Lots of space in the appartment

Excellent apartment in amazing location

This property is wonderful and well equipped. The location is perfect with great restaurants, bars and shops downstairs and a metro close by. Although the streets were really lively, the apartment provided calm, and the terrace a great pace to watch the crowds. Highly recommended. For reference, check-in is via the porter in the buidling (this is not mentioned in the property details)

Overlooking Central Madrid

Wonderful two bedroom apartment with all the luxuries. The concierge (Ana) was very accommodating and the views of the plaza and the streets of Madrid are wonderful. Everything is in walking distance and if you want a taxi they are just outside your door. We truly enjoyed our rental to the max.

Great location

Perfect location for exploring Madrid. Apartment was as-described, and has a clothing washing machine in the kitchen (no dryer). We did not spend much time in the unit since we were out exploring the city, but we would not hesitate to rent it again on our next visit to Madrid. Bedrooms are not facing the noisy plaza so we did not have any street noise in the bedrooms at night.

The apartment is great! We were 3 adults, my husband and I and a friend. Check in was a breeze with Ana. She doesn't speak English but i have no probem with Spanish. The apartment is idealy located in the very heart of Madrid. We walked just about everywhere. It was impeccably clean, spacious and had everything we needed. Although it is a very busy area, it was super quiet for sleeping. We highly recommend.

Highly Recommended! Wonderful property, fabulous location!

Apartment is one of the best VRBO rentals we have had. The location was right in the heart of Madrid, and we walked everywhere we went! We saw and visited many sites but what we most enjoyed was just walking the streets of Madrid, which was extremely easy and pleasant to do from this location. The host, Rufino, and the concierge, Mrs. Ana, were both absolutely wonderful to deal with and extremely helpful. (Just note that Rufino and Ana are native Spanish speakers and not conversant in English, though this did not hinder us at all). We look forward to a return visit when the Puerta del Sol construction is completed.

Excellent apartment, fantastic location

The location was terrific, right near Sol. The apartment was clean and well furnished, exactly as it looks in the pictures. The beds were comfortable and the apartment was quiet at night despite being so centrally located. The outside patio was very nice and has a partial view of Sol. The owner sent arrival instructions a few days in advance. Our flight arrived early, but were able to meet the cleaner at the apartment to get the keys and leave our luggage in the rooms until check in. Working knowledge of Spanish would help with that, but I'm sure you can get by with google translate too.

wonderful apartment in Madrid

This apartment was great. Lots of space, comfort, and fresh air. Everything worked; we had everything we needed; Ana was helpful (and it was nice knowing she was close by). It's in the heart of the city, an easy walk to the museums, train station, and Retiro Park, but because it's on the 5th floor, it doesn't feel impacted by all the noise and energy. That was important to us because we like to have windows open and to feel connected to the outdoors. we were very happy in this place. Definitely recommend it.

Great place to stay in central Madrid

This is a lovely, clean, quiet, and very comfortable apartment. It was a little hard to find at first (located between a lottery store and a tobacco shop). When you walk into the building, there is no signage so just be sure to take the elevator to the 5th floor and the apartment is on the right. We some minor communication difficulties with the host but those did not affect our stay. The apartment is well located and close to everything in central Madrid. We did not use the kitchen. Both bathrooms had showers with excellent water pressure and hot water. Queen beds were comfortable. The A/C worked great. We enjoyed the roof top deck. Great place!!

Great All Around

This apartment is just as described. It served as a great starting point for the touristy activities that my friend and I did on our first visit to Madrid; everything we did seemed to be within a 10-15 minute walk. :) The place was very clean, and there is a big couch so that we could both chill out comfortably in the living room at the same time (not always the case). The concierge was fabulous; I had to bring out my limited Spanish conversational abilities, but everything went smoothly. I highly recommend this spot.

Definitely Needs A Refresh!

This place if very centrally located and allows for easy walking to all that Madrid has to offer. As others have said, it appears to be clean - although there is a lot of dust atop the stove hood (I don't think the cleaning lady is tall enough to see it!). However, a few things caused us some concerns. Firstly, when checking in the lovely concierge lady of course noted our Passport details on the requisite forms, but she also insisted on taking pictures of our passports on what appeared to be her personal phone. No other VRBO we stayed at took pictures of our passports. While the property manager assured us these images are deleted, we have not proof of this. Also, as a few others have indicated, this apartment could use a refresh. There is an odour (musty/stale) when you enter. There's some mold in one of the showers and the cracked/missing grout, and the laminate floors/moulding show evidence of moisture/water damage (I have experience with home renos). I wonder if the odour is hidden mold. The current value of this VRBO is in its location. With a few repairs and refreshing, it could be excellent.

In the heart of the city and part of history

If you want a wonderful apartment, in the heart of Madrid, look no further! The location of this apartment cannot be beat. You are just steps away from Puerta del Sol and the subway that you can take to anywhere. Ana was very helpful and directed us to a wonderful restaurant our first night in Madrid (while we were still rummy from jet lag). She also showed us how to use everything in the apartment - especially the tricky dishwasher and clothes washer. The beds were extremely comfortable. Towels were big and fluffy. I only wished for a wash cloth for the shower. So many amenities were provided (dishwasher soap, garbage bags, condiments and spices) that it made it like home. But the thing I loved best was the rooftop deck! I would eat my breakfast and enjoy the start of the day, sitting on the deck and watching the city wake up. Then in the evenings, I could enjoy a glass of wine and watch the sun go down. The only bit of trouble we had was finding the apartment on the first day. Somehow I had the wrong address! Not sure where that came from? But after a frustrating hour, we contacted Pedro and he got us going in the right direction. I would definitely stay in this same apartment when we return to Madrid. So many wonderful restaurants within a couple of blocks!

This two bedroom apartment was extremely comfortable. Nice sized bathrooms and individual showers in each of the two bathrooms. Very well stocked kitchen and a nice outside patio.

Perfect location and lots of space. Loved the outside patio. Spent many hours sitting outside enjoying the sun and listening to music from nearby facilities. The place was spotless and very comfy beds.The only thing that I saw that needs updated is the coffee pot. It was stained and looked very very old and used. Luckily we brought instant coffee from home and heated water with the electric kettle.
