This peaceful wonderful stay was just what our family needed while celebrating my son’s graduation from Dartmouth. The beds were comfy hosts were accommodating. We enjoyed our stay very much!
When we arrived, Beth welcomed us with delicious homemade chocolate chip cookies. The check in was seamless and the home was immaculately clean and welcoming. We used it as a place to stay while attending a Dartmouth graduation. The drive to Dartmouth was about 30 minutes. Internet at the home was good, but once one has left the property, it is hard to access the internet so it is best to upload directions while at the house. The garden is beautiful and the flowers were in bloom. Lots of windows and open doors to the garden bring in the beauty of the outdoors. It was a perfect spot for our family.
This house is everything you could want in a vacation home to share with friends or family. The host was extremely helpful and very quick to respond to any questions. She was also there when we arrived with an umbrella so we wouldn't get wet getting from the car to the house. And what a surprise to find some home baked chocolate chip cookies awaiting for us. We were a group of 10 adults for a family wedding. There was tons of space and privacy and enough chairs for us all to hang around together or to eat together at the table. Lots of outlets and supplies so you don't need to bring extra from home. The grounds are beautiful and a spectacular view which we could enjoy from outside or inside from the living room or family room. The bedrooms had plenty of pillows and nice warm quilts for those cool vermont summer nights. There were plenty of dishes, glasses and mugs so that we were able to go a whole weekend without having to wash individual items and put it all in the dishwasher before we left. The wifi worked very well and there were no issues with 10 of us using it at the same time. The hosts were extremely accommodating for parking the 5 cars that we had. I would absolutely stay here again the next time we return to the upper valley
As many of the reviews have stated, this is a wonderful country home with plenty of space for a large family gathering. We had three generations of family in for my son's college graduation celebration and the house was perfect. We prepared a sit down dinner for 10 and enjoyed a wonderful sunset. Beth is a great host and brought us a nice welcome box of breakfast treats!
With people aged 5 to 70, we all loved our stay. The kids had lots of outdoor space to run around and hunt for toads and butterflies. Their parents felt free to allow them to do so. They also enjoyed being able to take the short and delightful walk down to Coburn’s, the general store that seems to carry everything. As the 70-year-old, I so appreciated the comfortable bed, the well-equipped kitchen, the peace and beauty of rural Vermont. A wonderful stay!
This is an isolated, wonderful home with a lot of space for a large family to hang out in. A large dining room table seats at least 10 people. There is a pleasant patio with a great view across the valley. Despite the isolation, Coburn's general store less than a mile away has a great food selection.

Such a beautiful home and setting, very lovely and welcoming.
I can see why this is such a beloved family home! Such a lovely setting and large, comfortable home. We enjoyed the personal touches with pictures and family history.
So nicely furnished, especially the kitchen...all rooms had a personal touch and the entire house was very clean. Our family stayed here for our son's wedding at Dartmouth and it was a perfect get-away! We were about 25 minutes from the Hanover venue, but the drive was so pretty it was never difficult. We also really enjoyed the small town of South Stafford (walking distance from the house)...a great general store and cute consignment shop. We would definitely stay again if we return and the home is available!

The property was in a beautiful location, great views, great house.
We had a wonderful time at the house. There were 9 of us, including a 3 yr old, and the house had enough space for all. We enjoyed playing croquet a couple of times on the front lawn. We could all fit around the big table for meals or games, or cards, and there were comfy chairs and couches for relaxing. It was nice to just sit on the little patio and look at the landscape, have a quiet moment.
The host was also available to answer questions, and provided extras: milk, juice, condiments, etc., and was very nice.

Comfortable family home
Two of my college friends and I, along with our families, rented this place for a few days during our Dartmouth reunion. Our hosts, Beth and her husband, were very kind and helpful, with her husband even giving us assistance when our rental car had a flat tire and we had to figure out where to get it fixed on a Saturday morning in June.
The house itself has ample sleeping area, a spacious dining area attached to the kitchen, and a sitting room that looks out onto the lawn and the beautiful landscaping out front. At night, you can see so many stars, because the house is away from city glow. The one minor downside was that it was a little further from Dartmouth's campus that was convenient at times, but the accommodation itself was great!

Wonderful!
We had a group of women friends going to the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horseman Int'l that was held locally. Beth met us with a warm greeting and some delicious homemade brownies. The kitchen was stocked with the essentials for breakfast and then some. The home was comfortable and the views stunning.

Fantastic Getaway Home in the Beautiful Vermont Hills
We had an amazing 3-day stay at Innisfree. The property is old and beautiful, and the house is spacious, well-appointed and has great character. The bed I slept in was the most comfortable I have ever visited - be it hotel or rental. Views to the surrounding rolling green mountains are spectacular, and the large lawn area was ideal for the badminton, volleyball, croquet and bocce that was provided. Beth the owner was wonderful - she made sure we were settled in, and even baked and brought us some delicious cookies. We couldn't have had a more perfect and relaxing stay in the beautiful Vermont countryside, and we will definitely be coming back!

Beautiful spot, very nice home, and excellent hosts
This is a beautiful spot to stay. We had a big group and it fit us all without a problem. Beth met the group on arrival and gave a quick tour and was kind and responsive throughout the whole process. The house is full of interesting family and American history and is sizable but also cozy. The backyard looks out over beautiful hillsides. I spent my Saturday evening lying on my hammock reading and watching the sunset over a deer grazing in the meadow. Pretty perfect!

Beautiful property in beautiful country.
A very nice, peaceful home with beautiful views of the surrounding hills. Elizabeth and Mike were very helpful. The pictures on the web did a great job, the house and rooms in the house were just as we expected. We were there to attend a wedding, so we didn't have enough time to truly take advantage of the house, but we certainly hope to go back in the near future when we can spend more time relaxing at the house. As a side note, this part of the state does not have good cell service, so cell phones do not work (which can be a good thing), but the house does have WiFi so you can communicate with the rest of the world. Thanks Elizabeth and Mike for sharing your beautiful house.

Big House! Big Heart! It's Grandmas House's
Did you ever get to or want to go to Grandma's house for holidays? Did you get to have a sleepover with your cousins? Have you ever seen homemade pies lined up on the window sill? Have you played croquet on front lawn with a backdrop of crimson and golden Vermont maple lined hillsides?
We did all of this and more in this great big beautiful, comfortable, fully furnished attention to detail home. Beth is definitely a credit to her family for keeping this property in great condition. It's roomy and comfortable, fresh and clean and well stocked for wide range of interests as well as needs. Perfect for cooking and entertaining a large family gathering - we had beautiful Thanksgiving sit down dinner for twenty-two. Books and board games galore for adults and children. Television set-up entertained and provided easy access for viewing baseball playoffs, Thursday and Sunday football. Wifi kept us connected to cyber space since for text and internet since Strafford has no cell service - only landline.
The bedrooms are beautifully and tastefully decorated. Our granddaughters ages 12-4 loved them!! We are so very grateful to Beth for her warmth and hospitality. We will return.

Vermont College Girlfriend Vacation
The house was clean, roomy, had a great view, was very well stocked with dishes, food items, condiments. The owner thought of everything - games, puzzles, umbrellas, extra jackets and the list goes on and on. Was the perfect location for a college girl friends annual reunion. I highly recommend it.

Nice relaxing getaway location with a great mountain view!
Our party very much enjoyed staying at this house. It was like a home away from home with all the necessary details well-taken care of. It's a very unique and cozy house with plenty space to relax in quietude and also enjoy the company of others in the open kitchen/family spaces. Although our stay was only for 2 nights, we would have loved to stay longer.

Charming place, friendly hosts
We enjoyed our weekend stay here when we visited to attend a local wedding. There is lots of space, it's clean and well maintained, the beds are comfy, there's a nice big table to gather around, there are plenty of pots and pans, there's a porch with a view out over the lovely Vermont countryside, and it's delightfully quiet. Our hosts live next door and couldn't have been nicer. They stocked the fridge with milk, coffee, and orange juice before we arrived, and stopped by to give us a tour when we arrived and asked if we needed anything else. I didn't expect to find wifi in rural Vermont, but there is also wifi and use of the phone (landline) if you need to make calls. South Strafford is a charming small town, and there is a general store just a mile down the road for supplies. I would be happy to stay here again.

A home with a soul
Just got back from a lovely long weekend at Innisfree. The owners keep this place in beautiful shape and there is a palpable sense of happiness and history about the place, which has been in the family for a long time. There is a beautiful view, the house is charming, the beds are comfortable, and the living space is well-contrived for lounging around, cooking and dining, and enjoying the outdoors. Unlike most rental houses there is lovely glassware and dishes, good cookware, and sharp kitchen knives (oh the dreaded rental home chef's knife that can't cut so much as a potato! Not here...). The kids loved going to nearby (22 min) Lake Fairlee so much we went two days in a row.
The owners live on the property in a separate, detached house. This is in no way a bad thing, as they respect their guests' privacy but are readily available if anything should need attention (which rarely happened as the home was well-appointed). A plate of cookies and a set of goodie bags awaited the 4 kids in our party when we arrived: a generous and welcoming touch!
