A modern architect designed seafront home in the tiny holiday village of Suiderstrand in the Agulhas nature reserve, the most Southern point of Africa. Very safe area. 3 hours from the beautiful Cape Town. Get away from it all, while enjoying all the confeniences you may need. Large spacious rooms, so great for a family, yet designed in such a way that a couple will feel equally at home. Enjoy the sun set from the jacuzzi on the balcony. Sun bathe or enjoy the view on the wrap around wooden decks, or from the two upstairs verandas. Well equipped kitchen and scullery. Games, a wide selection of DVDs and books provided. Underfloor heating and fireplaces in winter. Lovely touches everywhere .Very special atmosphere. Check the pictures

Stunning location for adventuring friends!

We were a group of 8 friends exploring and birding in The Western Cape after attending a conference in Cape Town. This seafront home we spacious and comfortable for exploring nearby nature reserves and is in a stunning location near the southernmost tip of Africa. Beautiful rock and sand beach for walks adjacent to the house and a couple mountain bikes for exploring quiet roads. We enjoyed making a delicious Braai one night and local restaurant Guidste Kaap as well.

Wonderful calm retreat

We spent 2,5 weeks in March at this beautiful location and enjoyed it so much. We are a family with one four year old. The house is situated at the end of the bay and is reached via a 5km gravel road (repair work began when we left). So there were not many people except some fishermen you could watch. We were on our own on the beach on many days. The house offers a lot of space, so we only used some rooms as it can be used by up to 10 people. Every room offers a stunning view to the sea which is very relaxing There is an outdoor shower which was useful with a little boy coming from the beach. The house is well equipped and has all neccessary facilities. In some details it might need a little make-over. We felt very independent there and on some days we just enjoyed ourselves being at home, sitting on the veranda or lying in the hammock. We can just recommend to stay there and we thank Riegert and his family that they shared this beautiful place with us!

what a fantastic beach-house

we have been at this house for three weeks and enjoyed every second of our stay. Direct beach location within the nature reserve brings a unique mix. Nature observation directly from the house coupled with all the amenities offered by the very well-equipped and tastefully furnished and large house. Endless beaches to explore are just a foot step away. Groceries and restaurants are about 10 min by car. Within a radius of one hour by car you can reach a number of unique nature gems such as De Mond and De Hoop nature reserves. A must for the nature lover to visit. Of course there is a multitude of more things to do in the region, best have a look yourself! If you are looking for a tranquil place to "refill your soul fuel" this is your "station" to do so! It never felt that hard to leave a holiday home at the end of the holiday.... . We hope to be able to come back soon! Thank you Riegert & family for sharing this magnificent location with us. Vous cherchez le calme et confort. Vous cherchez le dépaysement et l'air marin. N'hésitez pas, contactez Riegert. Sa maison immense débouche directement sur la plage. Un paysage grandiose à 180° Très très bien équipée, vous n'aurez pas assez de votre séjour pour apprécier toutes les possibilités qu'elle peut vous offrir. Proche de la maison, la Réserve De Hoop, le Parc National d'Aguilhas, la surprenante Réserve De Mond. Les couleurs du soir sont extraordinaires à ce point où se rejoignent l'Océan Indien et l'Océan Atlantique. Je me répète: allez-y

Heaven on Earth

I grew up less than a 2 hour drive from this place and had been visiting Struisbaai and L'Agulhas all my life, but had never been to Suiderstrand. What an amazing discovery the little resort and Riegert & Alinda's home in particular was on our recent visit and stay over Christmas. We loved it so much we stayed an extra day. I don't think we will ever stay anywhere else when we visit the area. The house is perfectly situated with gorgeous views for spectacular sunset - right on the beach. The home is spacious, has every amenity you might need for a comfortable stay; from sea kayaks, to hot tub, to owner's tips on activities in the area, to braai equipment, to fully equipped kitchen. It is spacious enough so that our large family (group of 5 adults and 2 kids) could all relax and enjoy without being under each others feet. The town of Suiderstrand is literally "the end of the road," yet you are less than 10 min drive from the restaurants, shops etc. in L'Agulhas and Struisbaai. I cannot recommend this property enough if what you are looking for is peace and relaxation in comfort. We loved it.

"Geweldig, goed verzorgd ...

"Geweldig, goed verzorgd en ruim huis in zeer rustig stadje. Een ''einde van de wereld gevoel''. Vooral het uitzicht vanuit huis is prachtig. Alsof het huis overloopt in de oceaan. Mooie wandelingen zijn langs de kust te maken en komen uit bij een bounty strandje. Mooi terras om in de zon te zitten. Vanuit het huis zijn leuke uitstapjes te doen naar bv the Hope Nature Reserve, allemaal weinig toeristisch. Ook goede huisraad, mooi bad en garage voor de auto. Geen last van de buren. Kortom een heerlijke plek om echt uit te rusten."
