'Largo Agrela House' - (See, River and Montain)

The village has 3 beaches. In the Centre the Afife Beach (family-beach lifeguard), North to "Praia da Ínsua" (wild Beach, with excellent water quality, due to the concentration of iodine) and to the South the "Arda" Beach (surf beach-lifeguard).
Is a house at the one of the most beautiful beaches in the north of portugal. Walking about 10 minutes through green fields and dunes you´l reach the beach. Some of the beaches are nearly desert. A very special thing in this house is that you can stay in the garden where children can play safely.
Availability of two bicycles for rides around the village.
The village is excellent for walking day and night.
Local eco-tourism, rural location also benefits from the village center 'Afife', permitting about 700mts, three cafes with outdoor terrace, a drugstore, an ATM, a supermarket and a casino party sites . Train station and bus stops a few meters away, which connects north and south along the coast and coast for a distance of 20minutes makes stop in city center 'Viana Do Castelo,' appearing soon on the main road, facilitating access the most important points, without your car for short or long stay. In winter the place is sought for rest, walks and ease of travel for visiting the most important points and to enjoy the summer sun and beach. '

quiet and good location

The house is a side street very quiet, with a nice patio to sit and have dinner outside. Description is very accurate: few km from the beach and a supermarket where you find anything you need. 30 minutes or so drive to Porto, but we actually used it to explore northen Portugal, including national park, Braga, Ponte de Lima and many more places. great place and good communication with the owners. highly recommended.

Great vacation in Portugal

Nice place for a couple or small family, which likes nature, hilly countriside, sandy beaches without crowds and good food and wine in many little resturants. Accomodation was very pleasant. The house is not big, but has a beautifull garden with views on a church and the Ocean. Great place to sit, eat and have a drink. Local vinho verde and Port is recomended. Barbecue is very usefull. Carlos prepared a set of tips, maps, etc. for trips around the house. Ocean is 15 minutes walk away, Then you can walk along the Ocean easily doezns of kilometers. Mountains have altitude between 500 to 1000 m above the sea level. The nearest one starts just behind the house. There are also several rivers good for canoeing. Rivers are a bit warmer than cold Atlantic Ocean so you can swim in rivers. Flowers are everywhere thanks to a lot of sun and rain. Within 80 km you can find a lot of beautiful villiges and towns, such as Porto, Viana do Castello, etc.

Alojamiento tranquilo y muy bien ubicado cerca de la playa. Las instalaciones estaban limpias, cómodas y bien equipadas. Nuestro perro estuvo muy a gusto. Sin duda, una opción recomendable para estar tranquilo, disfrutar de la playa y además comer bien en los restaurantes de la zona.

Logement et emplacement sympa

Logement propre et fonctionnel qui correspond a l'annonce. Seul bémol, en l'absence du propriétaire, le chien de la maison, au demeurant très gentil, n'a cessé d'aboyer jusqu'à de 19h a 23h. Problème résolu au bout de 3 jours apres plusieurs relances au propriétaire.

Berge und Meer im Norden

Der kleine Ort Afife ist sehr toll gelegen, der Gastgeber sehr bemüht im Vorfeld sowie beim persönlichen Check in. Das Haus liegt an kleiner Nebenstraße das Umfeld ist ruhig. Parkplatz wird direkt vorm Haus angeboten. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in kurzer Entfernung, etwa 800 Meter ebenso der tolle Strand. Wanderwege durch traumhafte Natur direkt ab Haus. Es gibt viele Tipps vom Inhaber. Das Haus ist klein, aber ausreichend, die Terrasse mit toller Aussicht sehr schön. Leider gibt es einige Punkte, die jetzt im März, den Aufenthalt sehr negativ beeinflussen. Das Haus ist sehr feucht bis nass und klamm. Es sind diverse schwarz Schimmel Flecken an den Wänden und Decken, das Raumklima daher sehr unangenehm. Daraus resultiert ebenfalls verroste Lampen etc. Auch der Backofen ist innen völlig indiskutabel verrostet und nicht nutzbar. Leider standen noch keine Balkonmöbel zur Verfügung, und drinnen war es trotz Frühlingsthemperaturen von 18* kalt und feucht. Es steht eine Elektroheizung zur Verfügung was nicht wirklich ausreichend ist, die Räume Behaglich zu erwärmen. Auch das Bett war klamm und unbehaglich. Für Asthmatiker sehr problematisch. Sehr schade, vielleicht ist es im Sommer besser. Die Gegend ist wirklich toll! Die Menschen ebenfalls, aber so ist es sehr geminderter Urlaubsgenuss. Trotzdem vielen Dank für die Gastfreundschaft!

Eine runde Woche

Für uns zwei war die Unterkunft optimal. Sie ist sehr sauber gewesen und auf der gemütlichen Terrasse konnten wir herrlich entspannen. Wir haben die 1 Woche dort sehr genossen. Das Umland hat viele Möglichkeiten für Entdeckungen und hat uns gut gefallen. Der Strand von Afife ist super.
