About this property
Peaceful Montana Retreat on 4 Acres – Clean, Quiet & Surrounded by Nature
4 Bedrooms | 2 Bathrooms | Dog-Friendly | 4.2 Private Acres
3 miles to Jefferson River | Near Tobacco Root Mountains | 10 miles from Twin Bridges
Leave behind the noise and stress of everyday life and enjoy a true Montana escape. This clean and spacious 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom home sits on 4.2 private acres, surrounded by working ranchland, mountain views, and open skies. Whether you're here to fish, hike, attend a nearby wedding, or simply unplug, you'll find peace and quiet in every direction.
Remodeled approximately 12 years ago, the home offers a comfortable and unpretentious setting—ideal for travelers who value space, privacy, and the beauty of nature over polished finishes.
Inside the Home
Four bedrooms and two full bathrooms provide comfortable accommodations for families or groups.
A washer and dryer is available for guest use—especially convenient for longer stays.
Dog-friendly, with a large fenced yard offering safe outdoor space for pets and children.
Natural Comforts & Cooling
There is no central air conditioning. Guests cool the home the traditional Montana way: by closing windows and curtains during the day, then opening them at night to let in the crisp evening air using fans. Two portable A/C units are available.
Furnishings are simple and practical, creating a clean, peaceful place to relax after a day spent outdoors.
The Land & Location
The Parrot Slough runs through the property, attracting deer, moose, birds, and other wildlife—perfect for nature lovers.
Surrounded by large ranches, the property offers exceptional privacy, quiet, and star-filled night skies.
Landscaping is natural and rustic. Expect native grasses, open space, and the occasional bugs—this is authentic Montana, not manicured suburbia.
What’s Nearby
The Jefferson River access point in Silver Star is just 3 miles away—excellent for fishing, floating, or riverside walks.
The Round Barn wedding venue is only 8 miles down the road, making this home a convenient stay for wedding guests.
The nearby Tobacco Root Mountains offer scenic hiking, wildlife, and wide-open views.
Additional Notes
For stays longer than one week, guests are responsible for taking household trash to the nearby transfer station. Instructions will be provided.
Wi-Fi and other basic necessities are available, but the real value here lies in the open space, natural beauty, and quiet setting.
Who This Home Is For
This home is best suited for guests who appreciate nature, simplicity, and space. If you're looking for a peaceful, down-to-earth place to relax and enjoy Montana’s untouched landscape, this property offers exactly that.

About the host
Hosted by Keri Jaynes
We bought this home in 2012, and from the moment we stepped inside, we knew it was our dream home. Life took us a little further north to Helena for a job opportunity we couldn’t pass up, but we’ve kept this special place because it’s too wonderful to let go.
This home is our little slice of Montana paradise — peaceful, cozy, and surrounded by the natural beauty we love so much. Over the years, we’ve made countless memories here, and now we’re thrilled to share it with guests who can create their own.
A bit about us: Keri grew up in Butte, MT, and Nick in Billings, MT. We have two sons and a daughter, and as a family, we’ve always loved exploring Montana’s mountains, lakes, and trails. We’ve designed this home to be comfortable and welcoming, and we hope you’ll feel right at home the moment you arrive.
Whether you’re here to relax, explore, or just enjoy a peaceful escape, we’re happy to open our doors to you and make your stay unforgettable

Why they chose this property
We purchased this home because of its perfect location — tucked between large ranches along a quiet country road. It’s the kind of place where you can truly slow down, breathe, and enjoy the peace and quiet.
We love the natural beauty here — the slough, the open acreage, and the wildlife that surrounds us. Some of our favorite memories include hunting, fishing, hiking and simply enjoying the serenity of the land.
It’s a little slice of Montana paradise, and we’re excited to share it with guests who want to experience the same sense of relaxation and connection to nature that drew us here.
